^ good stuff

Happy Hard Core has been a thing for me lately it seems o.o

Like, for example, we went to a rave for New Years Eve, down in Connecticut, instead of something local in Mass, simply because it was an HHC rave :)

Did you all miss me? :V

-pings post-

So, http://rmxpace.com is a thing again, though the file structure is probably going to be a bit different, so links probably won't work the way they used to anymore. As they get brought up I'll add URL redirects though, to point things to the right places. If anyone can help (I'm looking at you KK20) with tickets and such, I'll add a ticket system similar to what Terv had 'back in the day'. Also, I don't know who follows this thread or comes on the site anymore, but KK20, Blizzard, Terv, and GG; you're all welcome to help and be admins on this. Your input over the past (what, like 2?) years has been so awesome, it completely overshadows the minor updates, rewrites and additions I made.

All that being said, me and my wifey have just moved into our own place, and are still in the process of settling in, unpacking, etc. so my responses and time on CP might still be a little more limited and sporadic for a few more weeks or so, but, it seems I have mostly returned to CP, and specifically, to this project.

Resources and Suggestions / Demos and Trials
October 04, 2015, 03:08:09 pm
I have re-started making games, and as this game is al about the player, and being in an open world, shaping their own path, I have decided to start asking questions from the people I want to actually play this. What do you guys think when it comes to demos/trials/beta versions of a game?

Since I know it will be something of a demand, I would be interested in looking into working with you on this, and creating a module for future release that takes into account server-client networking, making MMO style systems a bit easier to implement.

It's not just making a game that matters, the way that you do it and how you do it matters as well.

This. That sums up really the biggest issue about making a game, and making it well. Another segway off this is that if you are making a game for profit, and have an idea, and possibly even a prototype, is keeping in mind the ever-important question of, is this something other people would pay to play? Sometimes game designers get too wrapped up in their design, and possibly too proud of their creation, to realize that few other people would play it, even though they themselves think it's great; I myself had an issue with his for a while, and is ultimately why I have only just started getting back to these forums.

Bottom line; take small steps, test things out before fully committing to them, and never turn down an idea because you don't like it, or think it may not work.

it can prototype classes in other languages, provided there is a plugin to do so.

Ah, okay, gotcha. Either way it's still really cool as a tool.

Electronic and Computer Section / Re: Windows 10
August 04, 2015, 06:20:24 pm
I've been using it for some time, as many of you might remember (I decided to try it out in the beta) and I am quite happy with it; there's a few performance issues to be sure, but an overall pleasant upgrade experience. Edge, although not better in chrome in many respects, I am happy to use for smaller, quick little things, but I still use chrome for the most part. All of my apps and games work still just fine, and no driver issues (GeForce car actually was updated in the first r ound of updates, so kudos to NVIDIA for thinking ahead and having that update ready for us early adopters haha). But I made the "official" switch to Win10 basically on release day (technically it was that evening) and haven't had any really negative experience with it yet..
