Alright, so it's been a while since this was posted up, and my question is, does anyone have any current recommendations for a good, cheaper web host? I saw host gator having a special deal where it comes up to being under $4 per month, though I do need reliability AND lower cost, so if there's another site that's reliable, and still somewhere under $5 per month or so, I'll take it. If I can have multiple sites per account, that would be great as well, though not 100% necessary. I do need php, ruby and sql access on it though, which I know might drive up the price a tiny bit..
Any help and thoughts would be great! =)

As I've already suggested to you before. It's cheap for hosting a website and a forums/blog. After the domain and the service, it's about 43 dollars a year.
Stay away from Hostgator. >.< They are bad.
I would recommend ICD Soft (CP is hosted there as well as a few other sites), but it's just above your price range. :/
@Blizz ~ One dollar over my price range s not a bad thing hahahaa!!!!
How much stress can I put on the server without crashing it? I don't have admin rights, so I have no way of directly seeing it, but how what's the average "high-end" traffic for CP? Also what kind of lag do you get if you search/sort the ENTIRE SQL database? I just need to know how much stress I can put on the server before it gives me the proverbial middle finger..
@GG ~ I completely forgot about them, but I went ahead and bookmarked them :haha: The same questions apply to them as well; is that where jugco.de was hosted?
jugglingcode.com is hosted there, jugco.de is a separate domain I purchased from godaddy and linked it with TMDHosting so I could have short URL access.
@DS: Well, that really depends (e.g. size of the database, number of tables, number of columns in the tables, number of entries in the tables, etc.) I remember that the host disabled WCW, because it was sucking up too much CPU. At that point we found out that you get 100 CPU minutes per day (which is a lot for a website, but not so much for constantly-online server).
Well, I would say a site comparable in size (database that is), to CP, about a year or so ago, and a server similar to remexos running on it too.
well your not goging o be able to run a server like remexos on thous shared host. just not goging to happen. but a website like CP would not be any problem at all. if you want to run a remexos server your going to need a vps. I've already pointed out my vps host of choose in the other thread asking about remexos hosting.
