Hi everyone,

I want to make some changes to Game_Battler 3 through following this guide that Wraight89 has posted - https://forum.chaos-project.com/index.php?topic=14666.0 

The guide above talks heavily about the default battle system but I wondered if this would also apply to Blizz-Abs?

Ideally I want to change how weapon damage works in the game by having certain weapon types i.e. Knives, bows etc scale of Dexterity instead of Strength. I don't like the idea that all weapon damage is run off Strength.

Would changes made to Game_Battler 3 be compatiable with how Blizz-Abs functions? If not, is there a way of modifying how this works in Blizz-Abs?

Hello everybody !

I come here to ask for help and find a scriptwriter.

It took me 15 years to finish my rpg game and I am now embarking on a remaster/remake project.
The main goal is to improve the beginning of the game.

At the same time, I also try to improve its design flaws, such as an imperfect combat system.
And that's how I came across the Heretic's collection and this Chaos Project forum.
Hard to imagine the new version of my game without the improvements brought by these scripts.

But I need help to use some of them, to modify others, even to create 2-3 new ones.

I thus made a list of the obstacles which I face and which I must regulate with the participation of a scriptwriter.

One or the other request could still appear, because I'm still learning how to handle all these scripts. But the vital essential to my project is there.

So I'm looking for someone who can manage the scripts of the Heretic's collection.
Someone who is willing to be linked to my game with his name in the opening and closing credits (in addition to the names of the collection).

I am ready to pay something. We will have to negotiate a price. I'm not very rich either, but we can discuss that.

I will try to make my game marketable, but it is more likely for the moment that it never will be (neither original music nor artwork either).

What do you mean by "number the switch"? It's just a "Control Switches" event command. I don't know what Switch IDs you're already using, so that's up to your discretion which ID you want to use.

As for running a common event, does it have to be a script call? There is a "Call Common Event" event command after all. But I thought the objective was to have the common event be a parallel process. You should just make its Trigger "Parallel" and choose a switch to enable it. The process is no different from any other RPG Maker...

I've updated the links to use HTTPS. Chrome doesn't like it when you use HTTP on HTTPS websites. Firefox, for example, doesn't.

That sounds fairly easy to do.
Conditional Branch: [Item] in inventory
  # Player gained an item, so prepare for when they run out of it again
  Control Switches: Switch = OFF
Else
  # This check is to ensure we don't fire off the event more than once
  Conditional Branch: Switch == OFF
    # Do your stuff here...
    Control Switches: Switch = ON
  END
END

Ah I see. Well, what I'm trying to do is to have a common event that runs a parallel process checking for if a certain item exist in inventory (item is consumable). So if you sold or used up all of your stocks, it would trigger something to happen.

It seems to be tedious/inconvenient to have to paste this event in all of the maps.
