Looks really handy! Blizz-ABS is pretty accessible in general, but there are still a lot of people who have trouble with it at first, so I'm sure this will get a lot of use. Great idea!

Thanks for the comment. I'll try to get another video posted this weekend sometime. I'll try to keep them short and to the point so they'll be hopefully more useful.  :)

The videos will be pretty helpful if it addresses some creative aspects as well (manipulating enemy AI, making good combos, etc.).

I'll try to breach those subject in the series. I'm still, obviously, learning the system myself, but I thought this series might save some newbies a little bit of time.

My observations

  • You don't need to name the enemies in the database with \e[ID]. Only events need that tag.

  • I find it funny how you use Tools to get to your database and script editors but you click the icon for play test.

  • Music is pretty darn loud. Very evident in the 5th video (and it looks like you noticed that during the recording).

  • In video 3, you imported the action sprites but never mentioned anything about activating the Action Sprites. This could be a problem with video 5 because you need those Action Sprites in order to use Weapon Sprites. There's no mention of that at all.

  • You don't need to hit Apply and then OK for the changes to be made. Clicking OK is enough.

1. Thanks for the heads up on the tags, I added annotations to the video explaining the mistake.

2. I think I use the Play Button more often for testing the program because it's an icon I instantly recognize. That is pretty funny though.  :haha:

3. I'll try to keep the music down (if I include any) so it's not a distraction.

4. I mention activating the action sprites and weapon sprites at the end of video #5. I probably should have touched on action sprite activation at the end of video #3.

5. I always hit apply as kind of a personal OCD thing. I swear I've run into program configurations where clicking Ok did not necessarily mean Apply changes.

Thanks for the critiques.

Video #9 is up. Hopefully the next video will be a boss battle.

Still looking good :)
Starting to get closer to using script calls.
