Once you hit enter different text is put into the window and stays there until the window closes and players can't tell it to go away.
Example: first, it says "You found (quest item)!"
Then it switches to a counter or displays the next item.
Great idea, I can see many uses for this.
I would definitely make this if I had the time right now, but I'm sick as hell. Threw up like 6 times 2 nights ago.
