Script Requests / Conditional Branch for enemy HP
June 04, 2016, 01:09:12 pm
Hi. I need a small script to put into a conditional branch to check whether an enemy's HP is 0 or not. I need this because during a battle i'm making an enemy will be change every time he reaches 0Hp and then heals. I'm gona make this conditional branch check every turn of the battle. I can't use the event to check HP because it only does it once and then no more.
Thanks :)

Do you enjoy playing Monster Hunter...? GREAT! Me too! :haha:

If you're interested in playing Monster Hunter Online (It's a free game) there is now a patch that translates some of the most important texts in the game from Chinese to english. The game was originally only suposed to be released in china but some awesome people made this awesome patch for everyone :)
Apparently they are eventually going to translate the whole game but for now the patcher will translate only some of the chinese. Don't worry though! I've tested it and it's totaly playable. The most important texts like quests and item names and lots of GUI is english.

The process for making an account is kinda tricky for non-chinese people but heres a really good guide on how to make it work: http://2p.com/37687457_1/Monster-Hunter-Online-CN-Open-Beta-Registration-and-Download-Guide-by-cindyhio.htm
I followed that guide step-by-step and it worked for me.

Once you install the game and update it you download this patcher and install the patch where you installed the game: http://kogath.com/TeamHD/
(Remember to download all original patch data from the original launcher before applying the english patch. Not sure if it matters but it's good to be safe)

If you do actually download the game and want to to play I am located on this server shown bellow:
Spoiler: ShowHide

You choose the server in the Launcher. Make your character there if you want to play together with me :) (You can't transfer characters between servers)
That server is also a place where a lot of western people have joined because of a reddit post.

(The Monster Hunter Online Launcher is always in chinese so don't freak out if you patch it and see only chinese in the Launcher.

As I said before, the game is free. The only tricky part is making that damn QQMail account.

Once in-game press Y and add friend. Write Nali and you should have added me as a friend. Please make a post here as well if you plan on playing :roll:

Hopefully some of you guys are interested. It would be awesome to play one of my faviourite game series with you guys! :haha:

Video Games / Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate?
March 06, 2016, 08:10:42 am
Since none of my real life freinds owns the game I can't build decent team to climb some G-ranks and hunt for fun.
So how about you? Do any of you own this game on the 3DS that would like to hunt together?

Just add me if your interested: 1134-8015-0416

Just gona remindmind you to ping me your friend code as well so we can both play.
I player this game a lot so a decent team of peoeple i know online would be awesome :)
Pleas do if you own the game, playing with random people is so boring :roll:

Cause admit. Playing Monstrer hunter with friends is LOTS more fun than alone or with random people! :D

I only need to use it to copy over items and stuff with numbers higher than what the regular RMXP allows(The small letterboxes are drving me crazy). If anyone have the Postality Knights version, please uppload it somewhere and send me a link :)

I made my own tileset for a special world in The Missing Part and I thought I'd share it with whoever might find it appealing.
- It's completely self made(Exept for the grass Autotile. That's just a re-color)
- Free usage for anyone.
- Wouldn't mind to be given credit if used.

So I have a puzzle in The Missing Part that keeps track of a number. What I want is to show this number as a picture. This would require a script that can keep track of each digit in a Variable and show a different picture depending on what that digit is.
So let's say I have 10 different pictures, one for each number(0 to 9). I need a script that shows a specific picture depending on what digit in the variable. The number 10 would require two pictures to show since the number has 2 digits. 100 would require three pictures because it's 3 digits... etc...
I will also be able to specify the location of the picture to properly align the pictures to appear as a whole number. (The puzzle variable mainly stays within a 2 digit number and rarely becomes a 3 digit number)

Can this be done?

Chat / Wanna play Diablo 3 together?
January 15, 2016, 09:09:31 am
So now that Season 5 is released in Diablo 3 I'm going to be playing a lot more of the game. I wanted to ask if any people here owns the game or maybe even plays it every now and then.

We could play together and maybe even make a clan where we hang out in game. Who is interested in playing Diablo 3 with me/us? :D

My Battle.net tag is: MarkHest#2520

Feel free to send a friend request and play with me :)
I'm going to make a new Clan in honors of Chaos-Project. We shall be its champion!! :gunz:

So yeah! I hope some of you are interested in joining!
Playing with friends is always more fun than playing alone or with the random people the game groups you with.
10
Hello everyone! :haha:

I'm in high spirit today! :)
Since I love the community here I decided to finaly let you guys in a project that I started working on this last summer. The project is made in Unity and the game is going to be focused around platforming with RPG elements in it. A Sidescroller. The game will also focus a lot on difficulty spikes. One of the main selling point of the game is going to be the epic and difficult boss fights that will show up after completing a world region(A set of levels).

The gameplay around how stages/levels work are going to be very dynamic! Very few levels are going look alike and have identical platforming segments. I want this game to always throw something new at the player when he/she makes progress and try to make the game as fun as possible.

So I'm here now! I'm reqruiting people who are itching to join a side-project that has no preassure or dead-like whatsoever. It's just a project that you can work on whenever you feel like it. Maybe one day you just feel like you want to work on something but don't know what... that's when you work on this game ;)

The final release is most likely going to be free as making this game will mainly be a learning experience for me and the quality of some things I create can be lacking. But who knows... maybe if I can get a decent team of talentet and experienced people we might be able to polish the game enough to be a decent experience... or maybe even an AWESOME experience! And as long as the content/resources in the game is self made and original(which I will keep to) there won't be any trouble just in case the game actually turns out better than I thought and can be sold. Don't get your hopes up too much about that detail though! For now this game is just a side-project that is fun to work on and will give me (and maybe even you) some well needed experience in Game Developing.

So far some friends in school have joined me on this project so I already have a small team. We are 7 people in total but only 3 people are active with working on the project. The people who are active are 2 Programmers(one is me) and 1 Artist(she's talented!).

At first I wanted this to be a one-man-project and made most the game myself from ground up but after a while I scrapped that plan and asked if some of my friends were interested in joining. I was really suprised on how much more fun and easier it became when sharing my work with others. To work as a team on this project was the right decision!

So now I look at you!
YES... YOU! :clap:

Are you maybe itching to join a project that might or might not give you a fun experience in game developing? Like I mentioned before, this project has no dead-line there is no preassure on the team members and we are free to work on the project whenver we want. The only downside to not being active is probably that someone might finish that one thing you wanted to program/draw/sketch and you will need a new task :roll:

So, what kind of work are you interested in? Are you a Programmer, Artist or a Designer?

- Programmers:
The project is made in Unity and the code is written in C# so if you're familiar with either of these things you can contribute to many many many things. We're programmers! There is NOTHING we can't do! ;)

- Artists:
This is what we are in the MOST need of. We are in BIG need of telented people who are good at drawing and animating!
Graphics basically MAKES the game, they bring it to LIFE. Without graphics we'd just be staring into black space... maybe see a few cubes every here and there(programming joke) but that's irrellevant. Colors are the life of the game, without them everything will be just dull and boring and no one likes looking at a dull and boring game :(.
Thankfully... You're here! If you're burning for making things look awesome and fill your surrounding with life then I more than welcome a person like you on the team. I have need of talentet artists more than ANY other kind of worker. There is going to be a lot of graphics/resources needed so

- Designers
Are you a person of many ideas...? Are you a person of many CRAZY ideas...??? GOOD! Because for this game to become what I want it to become I'm going to need more than just one brain to do the thinking. People with many ideas are awesome! I mean seriosuly... who wants a game where you do the exact same thing over and over with some slight twist every now and then to "try" and keep the game interesting... no. Poor design I say.
While this game is going to be a linear platformer where you beat up enemies every now and then I am going to try my best to make this game as interesting as possible. It's already planned that every new level is going to bring something new. Some parts of a level might even be COMPLETELY different to what you're used to doing in the game.
You see... I am also a person of great imagination and I like comming up with ideas and solutions. But two minds are better than one! It does not matter if you can't draw or program or maybe you don't know anything about unity at all! That's alright! You can help this game out just by sharing a SIMPLE idea, you clever son of a bitch! :up:

- Sound Manager
Are you good with sounds? Are you good an voice acting? Are you good at anything at all?? Of coure you are, because you're awesome!
Listen... I want this game to have good quality sounds and even voice acting so if you're skilled in sound managing and making sounds effects etc... I NEED you on my team.
I might be a music composer but when it comes to recording, playing, mixing and messing around with sounds I'm a complete noob. This project is need of at least one person like this who is good at handling sound. Every sound. Everything from jumping to landing to magical attacks to lava explotions to footstep sounds... every sounds essentially. You will be the person in charge of this and the game will be very lonely without you because... it has no sound :(
If you have a good mic, a place where you can record without buzzy backgrounds, peace and quite and knows what you're doing on the edit table then please concider joining. I have much need of you.

- Music Composer
Hehe...
Hehe.....
This is my spot! :^_^\':
I might already be the project leader, lead design, lead programmer, lead artist, the boss of the whole project... but I am still a video game music composer. I will take this spot and try to work my magic on this games soundtrack. 90%-95% of the feedback I get on all my music is positive so I'm very confident I will be able to bring good stuff to the table.

HOWEVER! If you too are a talented composer don't be affraid to step in and ask to join. If you too want to take a part in making music for this game then I might just let you join in on it. All you need to do is  send me some sample that you've made so I can determine whether you're qualified or not! (I'm very picky about the music in games. It's always that one thing people will remember the game for)
You can send a sample or two either as a post here on this forum thread or you can send them to me as a private message(if you want to keep the secret I mean. Don't worry I'm very trustful.)

I just need to say something before I go on. There are people I know very well here on these forums that I trust and I would be OVERJOYED to have them on my team. Should any of these people request to join this project I will grant them instant access to the team. However if I don't know you or if you are a new member on this forum I will first need to know who you are before I can invite you to the team. This is easily fixed by simply chatting, posting, sharing or maybe even skype conversations etc. Anyway... if you are concidering joining this project I am very grateful to you and I'm really looking forward to working with you in the future.

I have a skype group where the team members can chat or share work that they've made. If I accept you to join this project you will be prompted to get invited to the skype group.
As for the actual files of the project. We are using TortoiseSVN to be able to work separately in the same project file without interrupting each others work. TortoiseSVN also make it easy to keep everything up to date without much trouble. The people I know on this site will get instant access to the  SVN adress and the files if they decide to join, other people will get it once they're trusted. For obvious reasons ;)

The game is already in a high Alpha and many things are working as they should without too many bugs or glitches.
I took the time to make a demo of the tutorial level in its beta state, just so people can get a taste of what kind of game I'm actually trying to create here.
90% of the graphics are placeholders so don't freak out over the graphical details, alright ;)

Download link:  Demo Alpha Download

Controlls in game:

Arrows to move...
Z to run...
X to attack...
Space to jump...

(hr)

I also have this BIG GIF animation if you don't feel like downloading the game, it should give you an idea of what the game is like:
Large GIF: ShowHide

Judging the demo of the alpha version, do you think the game holds potential? Feel free to share your toughts. This is going to be an interesting experience :)

I SOOO want GameGuy, Winkio, Ryex, KK20 and Blizzard in on this project! Working together with you guys would be so much fun and awesome! *hint* *hint*

I have two FULL notebooks of information that I've writen down about the game. Suprisingly I did a lot of planning on this game before I started working on it... (in comparison to The Missing Part - (Title Missing) where I didn't plan shit).
I'm going to copy what I've re-writein those notebooks all over to text files on the computer but that might take a while. What I'm trying to say is that I've planned this game very well. How its going to play and how it's going to change as you progress, most of the level design(mechanics) and all bosses already have their behaviour and AI planned. Many enemies are also already finished but more are bound to show up(¨looks at a random designer that might sign up¨)

Feel free to ask questions about the game. Is there anything you would like to know about it that I might have missed?

General Discussion / (Unity C#) Help with beam attack
January 13, 2016, 03:10:20 pm
Hi!  :haha: I need some help from an experienced Unity programmer that can help me make this happen and make it look awesome! ;)
So I decided one of the bosses in my sideproject I'm working on is going to have a giant Beam attack that shoots from the body of the boss and follows the player with small delay in movement.
The beam is going to scale from the boss all the way to the ground it touches. Once a new ground level(height) is met the beam will scale accordingly.

Here's a gif of an animation I made to describe more precise what it is I want to do:
This actually took me like 30 Minutes to make...: ShowHide

Here is also a video of a game called Wings of Vi. Skip to 11:22 to see what kind of beam I want to create with better graphics:
Video

How can I scale the beam while one end of the object(the starting point, AKA the boss) is a set vector?
I'm not sure how to do this. Is the beam just an animation-object with a collider or is there a lot of programming involved? There are probably multiple ways of doing this. Show me the way you think is best :)

EDIT: I'm not asking to get the full code with files and animations and everything :P. I just want some guidance on what would be the best way to get this done. (Feel free to write code if you want though.)
12
Hiya!

There are some pretty reliable coders here and I don't know where else to ask, so maybe one of you can help me with a problem I'm facing in C# coding.
I'm currently making a game in the Unity Engine, it's an RPG/platforming game. If anyone of you is familiar with Unity that would be a great help as well.

Ok, now to the point!
When I hit an enemy in-game I want the damage inflicted to be displayed as an image and jump out of the enemy then fade out.

I have this example image:

Image Width: 500 Pixels
Image Height: 50 Pixels
(I will be using these dimensions in game)

What I need help with is making a Method that takes an Int and then cuts the image into each number in the Int, then displays it. Let's say in this case that the Int is 560 so that means the image would have to be sliced three times and put next to each other. I'm not sure if each number should be its own object, that would probably be best...

(The Damage Images script made by G_G does exactly what I want, but that's in Ruby and I haven't learned it yet so I can't read it... i think :p)

Help me improve on programming! :haha:

Script Requests / Check if ME stops playing
November 21, 2015, 05:56:05 am
Heya! I'm further looking for script to further make The Missing Part better and better. Working on it as we speak!(Erm.. as I'm writing this, anyway!)
I'm wondering if it's possible to make a check of some sort to see if an ME or SE has stopped playing. Some of my music has intro parts that I'm using as SE/ME sounds. I'm currently adding a 'wait' command to line up these intros with the song itself but it's often very off-beat because of the different speeds that the game can run at.

So is there an easy way to somehow add a script with a call that says: "Play this ME, then play this GBM or BGS instantly afterwards" ?
I'm curious to see the results! If there is no easy way I'm just gona go ahead and use the 'wait' command as I always have and try my best to put it in a place where it can't lag off beat. This would just make the game a appear little bit more proffesional. Thanks for your time :)

Script Requests / A tweak needed to a script made by G_G
September 19, 2015, 05:01:11 am
Hey! A while ago G_G made a script for me that adds the "map music" option to the stormtronics custom menu system. It looks like this:

class Game_System

 #SWITCH_MAP = 8

 def reset_battle_bgm
   bgm = BlizzCFG::BATTLE_BGMS[$game_variables[BlizzCFG::BGM_Variable]]
   if bgm[3].downcase == "map"
     $game_system.battle_bgm = nil
   else
     $game_system.battle_bgm = RPG::AudioFile.new(bgm[0], bgm[1], bgm[2])
   end
   return true
 end

 alias gg_update_bgm_stuff_lat battle_bgm
 def battle_bgm
   if @battle_bgm == nil
     return @playing_bgm
   end
   return gg_update_bgm_stuff_lat
 end

 def real_battle
   return @battle_bgm
 end

end

class Scene_Map

 alias gg_reset_system_bgm_lat main
 def main
   $game_system.reset_battle_bgm
   gg_reset_system_bgm_lat
 end

 def call_battle
   $game_temp.battle_calling = false
   $game_temp.menu_calling = false
   $game_temp.menu_beep = false
   $game_player.make_encounter_count
   $game_temp.map_bgm = $game_system.playing_bgm
   $game_system.se_play($data_system.battle_start_se)
   if $game_system.real_battle != nil
     $game_system.bgm_stop
     $game_system.bgm_play($game_system.battle_bgm)
   end
   $game_player.straighten
   $scene = Scene_Battle.new
 end

end

I need something that keeps track of whether the map music is chosen or not, probably a switch..
I need this because when I switch to a boss music I need to revert the battle theme after the boss fight and then I need to know if the player has the map music option on or not.
So, basically a switch or something that turns on and off depending on what option you chose in the menu. Something like:

pseudo code...

if map-music
Switch 8 = true
else
Switch 8 = false

Welcome! / Hugs incomming!
September 05, 2015, 02:23:24 am
Right. I just wanted to say hi to everyone again. Some of you are new to me and some of you are still like comming home to family :haha:

If you haven't read the newest info on this thread in The Missing Part section, I am back to trying to finish the game.

So here I am! Hello everyone! Nice to be back at CP! Hopefully I'll be able to be at least a little bit more active, maybe I can help people with eventing or simple scripting or stuff. Since I've been learing C# for a year and just now startinc with learning C++ I think learning Ruby will be cakewalk, especially if I have help from other scripters. I like coding so If I could make a few scripts to help people that would be awesome.

How many core members are still here since I last became inactive? I've seen Ryex, Lord-Blizzy and Zexion so far.

Anyway. Happy to see you all again! *Hugs*

Video Games / Minecraft Hardcore Run!
February 16, 2015, 04:06:22 am
Hi guys! :haha:
I have an idea that some of you might enjoy joining me on. A hardcore minecraft adventure with 1-life only and the objective to kill the Enderdragon!

This is something I've been wanting to do for a while as a solo 'Lets Play' but I'm certain it will be more fun if more people join. So who would be up for this hardcore adventure?
If people wants to join we just make up a time and play when everyone is avavible. I will be recording the adventure myself and uploading it to youtube as episodes. We'll be skyping during the adventure of course.

I know I haven't been very active on the forum lately and I apologize for that. Hopefully some will join and this will reawaken some memories of the crazy nights in skype and have fun together.
You don't need to be a minecraft expert or anything like that. This is just for the fun, social and adventure!

Script Requests / Changing Message Box Messages
October 28, 2014, 04:20:24 pm
I was given this script a while ago to change the word specified in the script to another word of EVERY message box in the editor.
Here is the script:

# Define the input and output strings.
INPUT = "Elna"
OUTPUT = "Alyssa"

#===============================================================================
count = 0
Dir.entries('Data').each {|filename|
 if filename =~ /Map[\d]+\.rxdata/
   changed = false
   map = load_data("Data/#{filename}")
   map.events.each_key {|key|
     event = map.events[key]
     event.pages.each_index {|i|
       page = event.pages[i]
       page.list.each_index {|j|
         cmd = page.list[j]
         next unless [101, 401].include?(cmd.code)
         if event.pages[i].list[j].parameters[0].include?(INPUT)
           count += 1
           event.pages[i].list[j].parameters[0].gsub!(INPUT) { OUTPUT }
           map.events[key] = event
           changed = true
         end
       }
     }
     if changed
       File.open("Data/#{filename}", 'wb') {|file| Marshal.dump(map, file) }
     end
   }
 end
}
if count == 0
 print "No event script calls found with matching string."
else
 print "Found and replaced #{count} occurences of input string.\n" +
   "Make sure to close and reload your project in order for the effects " +
   "take place. DO NOT SAVE THE GAME when closing or nothing will change."
end
exit

I want to request a similar script or maybe just an edit that changes every ":" sign letter to ":\b" and also puts "\b" in the start of the message box.

So this message box:
Quote
Eilzie: This is a random message box.

should change to:
Quote
\bEilzie:\b This is a random message box.

It'll look like this in game:
Quote
Eilzie: This is a random message box.

So I bought this today: MSI GT70 2PC Dominator

Should be able to handle most games right now. I can also work on larger projects while traveling or sitting in school without having to be bound to the space my desktop is located.
Think it's worth the money? I have no regrets about this buy, but what do you think could have been better regarding the specs?

Chat / Current Life Situation
August 06, 2014, 03:51:31 am
Huy guys. I haven't been very active on the forum for a while and I've barely worked anything on The Missing Part either(only occasionly). I've had a lot of life changes recently and there's even more to come. It might be hard to believe coming from me but I've struggled a lot with depression and at one point even started contemplating if suicide was a way to end the struggle, but I pulled through and I am seeing only light on the road ahead of me. Many good things to come!

I will start going to a programming school at the 18'th this month and I'm going to study basic programming for half a year or maybe even a year or more. I will probably be more active here from the start of the course as my fire for game development is most likely going to be fed and hyped :haha:
I will most likely start learning Ruby together with my studies as well so I might need a lot of help from a lot of you who know programming already, hope you're ready for many questions!

Hopefully I can also start working on The Missing Part again once the fire starts burning and I can finish the game. I decided to leave a lot of stuff out that would delay it further but there will be a few extra things like dungeons, secrets and bosses. I've finished over 90 songs for the game and tries to give it much life by animating the sprites and stuff. It's been a lot of work and I hate that I haven't been able to work on it more, but too much and it just starts to eats away on ya :p I already have plans for a game that I will work on after The Missing Part but it's a secret until I have developed the game to a point I'm comfortable with.
All I can say is that it's going to use Blizz-ABS and the main selling point is going to be: Music, Epic Boss Battles and Character Development(something The Missing Part is actually lacking). Big plans coming ahead.

It's going to be nice to start working with games again. I hope I will be more active on this forum because I love all of you! :) The community is great.

@Blizzard: I'd like to skype with you again and hang out. I wanna ask you a little bit about the life of a programmer. How it's like to work and live as one.

I just wanted to write this at this time. It felt right. See you all soon!

Intelligent Debate / What makes an adult?
January 08, 2014, 09:38:47 am
Feel free to throw your thoughts out there. What do you think is required to make a person more of an adult other than just your age?

Script Requests / [XP]Dynamic BGM/BGS?
December 31, 2013, 09:43:03 pm
I've wondered for a while if it's possible to add Dynamic music effects to RPG Maker XP? Since my game is very music focused i've been wanting to add conversations with different songs playing (Which is actually one big song, but different files) as the conversations goes on and the mood changes. So I've wondered if it's possible to add a script call or something that check when the current song stops playing and then switches to another song defined in the call? or something of the sort?
This way I don't have to use sloppy transitions by fading out the first part and then play the next song or just straight out change it without even fading it out. It really takes a lot of the moment to just switch song suddenly in the middle of a small loop.

Is this possible though? I want the song to loop as many times as it normally would until I decide for it to switch the next time it ends, which would probably be by script call.

This is something I plan to use A LOT in the next game I will work on as that game will be even more focused on music than The Missing Part - (Title Missing)

General Discussion / Mark and Blizz-Abs...
December 24, 2013, 02:42:33 pm
Right, so I was going to be quiet about a second game I am planning to work on after The Missing Part - (Title Missing), but I need a lot of help to get things up and running the way I want it to since this game will use Blizz-ABS.

I want one of the main selling points of this game to be epic and challenging boss fights, however I've been looking through some tutorials and reading through the Help file. I've also downloaded Arches Goes to Battle Camp and looked through the configuration there but I still cannot figure out how to make unique setups for enemies.

The boss fights I want to create are 90% evented and 10% random most of the time. I want to be able to specify exactly what they should do and how their attack patterns should be. Do I need scripting knowledge of this or is there an easy way to make a unique boss pattern like e.g: Jumps around a map, causing earthquakes that makes rocks fall down at you and detonating bombs on the ground that causes an explotion in a big radious.

I'd be willing to talk through skype if someone would like to give me a rundown on how things works when you make evented bosses. Or maybe post a tutorial on this stuff that I've missed.

Advertising / MarkHest's YT Channel for guidance
November 22, 2013, 10:56:16 am
So I've had a youtube channel for a while now that is dedicated to spirituality, debates, important subjects, rants and every kind of thing a blogger would do, I guess. I've had a lot of trouble getting some attention to the channel. I believe I made an attempt at bringing some attention to if from this forum once before, but I think that was in the shoutbox. So here I am making a topic about it instead. I've realized that waiting for people to randomly find my channel is practically impossible since I'm invisible on the internet with less than 10 subscribers. So I said "fuck it". Let's make it known to people and go on some social sites where I hang out and spread the word, this could help me a grow a little bit. So here I am. If you like debates and stuff, take a look:

Subscribing would help :)

Script Requests / MP to HP and vice versa
November 03, 2013, 06:18:23 pm
Is there a way to make a spell convert a specified amount of HP to MP and MP to HP?
The spell should not be able to kill the user. So if you have 600HP and the spell converts 1000HP to MP it will stay at 1 HP and convert 599 HP instead. Same with MP but that can go down to 0.

Chat / New Youtube channel for... talking?
June 03, 2013, 03:53:33 pm
So yeah, I made a new youtube channel inspired by many vloggers and debaters and I thought to myself: "Hey... I'm pretty good at talking about the important things in life. I think I can do a good job of this." So I made a new channel made only for talking/debating/ranting etc...

If you want to know how I think like or just hear my opinion on touchy subjects in the world (Like religion), feel free to stop by:

I know it's possible since F0 have done it for me before. What I need is a script that looks through every message box that I've made and change the name/word Elna to Alyssa.
Note that Elna is often written as Elna: I hope that's not a problem.

Script Requests / Rank skill options
April 03, 2013, 02:33:37 pm
So I have this problem with my game. Throughout my game you reach "ranks" of your element as you progress in the story and these "ranks" has different types of moves. Instead of just using the same skill window for each rank of moves I thought up the idea of using different skill type windows like this, here I'll show you:

Normal: ShowHide

Rank 2: ShowHide

Rank 3: ShowHide

(Pro editing skills, I know :V)

The way I want it to work is that skills and such looks normal (like the default) at first but when using a script call for a specific actor he/she will get either a Rank 2 or Rank 3 skill option (depends on the Script Call)  in battles where you will be able to select the intended moves for the rank. The way you separate the ranks of the skills could be made with easy modifications within the script (probably by adding Skill [ID] and Rank [ID]?)

This would really help my game because the ranks are quite important. Cheers.
