In case you don't know where to find it, here's the link:

The things that really stood out to me are the world map, the dungeon generator, the vehicle option back into the database, the quick events (for teleporting, doors, chests, etc), starting events for vehicles & your party, also the new boxes added to some tabs of the database for notes (I think this is a great idea, since I'm really forget and always need to write down notes about things!), as well as the new options for messages in event commands..

This seems pretty cool and the graphics are pretty good too, I especially like how they brought back some of the old features that everyone liked. But I'm not sure if I'd stick with XP or switch to this..

The graphics is back to Chibi mode. It'll be great if it is the size of
Suikoden characters. ( Just my opinion )

If they add more new features, then i might try it.

I agree with you Nortos.

What good about it, is the return of Vehicles, Pictures, and cinematics.
Other than that . . .

OMG, I'm surprised you didn't know. Or are you kidding Bliz? Most probably :P

I like the interface, and graphics are great except for the charsets.

I saw it, it's in japanese, I didn't know that it has patch for english, some of the rpg maker users were disapointed because the graphics were worst and looks cracky the graphics looks like RM2K3.....

lol sure you can Fantasist and anyway Blizz I don't think dungeon generator is any good...(think) because it probably wouldn't have much colour average mapping ect and I don't know if you can set the size or coordinates ect

how do i use the dungeion creator?
Title: Re: VX Experiences
Post by: Blizzard on January 12, 2008, 11:47:58 am
The dungeon gen will only make it even "easier" to make games. That means much more crappy games.

how do i use it? i cant find it... lol

Right-click a map (in the list view at the bottom-left) and the last option is the dungen generator I think.

I think dungeon generators are stupid personally...

I mean, don't get me wrong*they are extremely useful and can cut pruject creation time by a crap load, but then it takes individuality and user skill away from projects, and isn't that why most ppl make games using RMXP??

So ppl can see their individual talent?
- I know that's why I use it...

He says if everything's done by the editor, what will the maker do? It's more like this:

And that is also what I mean...If everyone let those stupid dungeon generators do eveything, you wouldn't have been able to post that remark. You know what I mean?

I love mapping it's one of the best things I enjoy in making games actually I want to become a level designer when older I've been modding various games e.g UT3 Oblivion, I would never use a dungeon creator...

What do you mean?  ;D
Title: Re: VX Experiences
Post by: Nortos on January 13, 2008, 05:07:48 pm
I mean if everyone ended up using dungeon generators I wouldn't use RMXP anymore...I would just bother with game maker and mods

Post by: Sally on January 13, 2008, 07:18:26 pm
the dungion creator is just a way to make people who dont like mapping help i think...

lol i hate mapping cause i suck at it but i still rather do my own maps than have a generator do all the work for me in my opinion it takes all the fun out of it  :)
Title: Re: VX Experiences

Well said Spoofus :)
The more we suck at mapping, the more we're satisfied with our hard work and we start to really like out game, and it will keep us from giving up. If anything is too easy, it's possible that we may lose interest in it.

Yeh, but I really like the options in the Actor creation screen. Much like 2k3 with the dual weapon wielding, two handed weapons. I really like that. I think I am going to use it, if I did waste my time I'll tell you all.

you can script it pretty easy or add offhand stuff to a charecter that just increase strength
