Projects / Games / Re: KindergarTen (RM Horror Game)

If Blizz will give me the mod stats in this section, at least temporarily, I'll fix up the posts for you :)

And that's fairly impressive to have 500 downloads on an RM game.. I'll take a look at it when I get the chance later tonight.

Recruitment / Re: Life sim rpg

On more thing I've noticed too, at least on this forum and another that I frequent, is that other members tend to be more welcoming and helpful to those members that they get to know and chat with, more than those members that simply come on a forum, and post mostly topics that are just asking for help, useless replies to topics, etc (those do not necessarily refer to you, but it doesn't help my willingness t help when I see your screen-name and the first thought is "oh, the guy that joined to get help for his game" ~ as in, that's what to at least one member, you're remembered for).

You seem like you could have a good idea in your head, but you should work on explaining things more completely, and participating more so we get to know you. I know I'm more comfortable helping people that I don't think just joined a site only to get help.

Have you ever thought about simply making it portable yourself? It's not ~that~ difficult to do...

Recruitment / Re: Life sim rpg

You really need to give it more then 2-3 days before bumping something like this; half the people on the forum mayn't have logged in to even see it yet. If it were like 2 weeks with no response, sure, I van see bumping. At the same time, maybe there's a reason people haven't responded. Perchance you need to include additional detail about the recruiting portion; are you hiring talent, or expecting them to donate their talent for free? What makes people want to work on your project? What type of timeline are you trying to accomplish this in? The less serious you sound a project, the less people will be willing to help a project that they don't think is going to ever be accomplished. Just mt two cents..

Well, I ended up trying to dual boot Win10 and Win8 so I could play PSO2, but Win10 didn't like that, so it corrupted the whole system. I'm now back on Win8, and re-installing everything. Should be back on sometime tomorrow possibly.

I suppose I could try to participate in something like this; I really wish WhiteRose had continued the one she started..

Unless you're truly just a spam-bot, and in which case my words fall on deaf ears, please look at the date on posts, and kindly read the rules before posting like this. This is the second topic you have necro-posted in, with nothing to contribute of value to either topic, nor relevant discussion. Blizz already beat me to the actual locking, but topic is locked.

Guys, you know this is from, like, over a year ago, right? haha

I keep getting a Windows not Updated error... Problem is, I'm on Windows 10, so, I don't think it's actually reading my OS properly; I tried running in compatibility mode, but no luck. I really hope I don't have to re-install Windows 8 just to get this to run =( Downloading the latest tech build to see if I can trick the game, so, I'll let you know.

I see the beginnings of a security/anti-hack/anti-piracy system..

And on that day, four brave adventurers set off into the sunset to face their destiny, not knowing what was in store for them, but almost certain that it would ultimately end with their demise...

Sounds like the beginning of a epic game/story hehe

3.9 out of 24 GB so far... I'll just go ahead and set this up to download overnight =p
94
Well, I'm currently downloading it again as well, so this out to be fun..

RMXP Script Database / Re: [XP] Battle Memory Commands

This would be very cool to see as a VXA port. Love the idea, surprised I didn't see it until now because of the last request on it.

Script Requests / Re: Tab Chat in RMX-OS
February 11, 2015, 08:18:27 am
In theory, this is doable, however, I'm certainly not good enough to directly help with this. I do think it might be possible to be done if there's a chat service out there that uses an open JSON API, as someone, if I remember right it was GameGuy, already made a JSON encoder/decoder, so it might not be that far of a stretch to figure out the proper way to post/get the JSON data back and forth to an existing chat system. It might be tricky to figure out whispering to just your party, but, most chats out there support direct whisper messages, messages to just friends, and global messages to entire room.

I like the concept actually, though, its due to it being an "open world" style game, where you don't have an exact goal, but rather some general guidelines and hints. I would be interested to see where you go with this, and as it is conceptually similar to the game I've been working on, if you need someone to bounce ideas off of, I would be happy to chat!

You look like you're off to an okay start, so good luck!

General Discussion / Re: An odd yet neat idea.
February 11, 2015, 07:50:16 am
I've heard of them, but only heard in passing before. Maybe for those of us who are uninformed, possibly link us to a "let's play" or similar that you think properly portrays the game?

I can't add much to the discussion either, but if you five a video or two to watch I can edit this later lolz

Resource Requests / Re: rmvx ace modern resources

Not to sound rude, but have you thought about how your thread sounds from other peoples point of view?

You're asking an awful lot, and not offering any compensation for it. Personally, in the professional world, myself and a couple coworkers at the office do similar work, and we charge clients a hefty amount; more than I think you could afford. I know it's obviously not something that you would want to pay alot of cash for, but this isn't so simple as a quick search of the internet, nor as easy as just whipping something up for you in a matter of 5 minutes.. I understand this is something you're asking for help with, but have you thought about possibly doing this yourself? Find a template/set similar to what you're looking for, and make the edits you want to it?

EDIT:

You have 88 tilesets listed... being generous, I calculate that as 5 hours each, times 100 per hour, and you're looking at a cost of 44,000.00 ~ This is what I mean by having someone take this upon themselves as a task would be very costly.
