Prelude- My Sanctum

A sigh is heard as Erik walks forward into a bright light. "I cant breathe.. I cant focus, this feeling of fear overcomes me like the eternity of space.. no beginning no end just existance." He continues walking almost as if it was reflex, taking a drag of his cigarette every now and then to regain composure. He comes to a stop glaring into the eyes of his superior. The cigarette falls from his hand as if the world slowed from the shock of the encounter and he begins to remember what events lead to this. "It can't be... you."


Chapter One: I'd Faint if I cant have resolution


A tear drop as he is lost in memory. His whole enviroment fades into another time as he drops his head and mutters "I once was actually... happy.". Three years ago in an isolated manor in Payon Arche; Erik, Hanako, Kasuko, Sakura, and the rest of the Lament of Angels party converse within the manor. Erik smiles as he reaches towards the a drink from the refridgerator. "Hahahaha! Quit Hanako!" an unknown voice screams from the bottom of the stairwell. Erik walks towards the staircase snickering. "Kasuko I hope you aren't trying to get fresh with my Hanako! I'll cut you if you do." Hanako runs away from the ensuing pervert playfully. Kasuko chases her with his water pistol wetting her clothes for some obvious reason. Hanako screams as she is covered in water her priestess clothes drenched in water. "Would you cut it out Kasuko! Hehehe! This isnt funny!" Erik smiles slowly walking down the stairs drinking his strawberry wine cooler. "I cant believe you Kasuko, you could barely kill a poring without fainting but here you are picking on this poor defenseless girl." Kasuko screams in protest "Aww c'mon Erik, she's hot when she's wet.". The room grows silent at the comment, when the silence breaks Erik and Kasuko bursts out in an outrage of laughter. Hanako covers up herself and clenches her teeth "You guys are sick you know that!?" Sakura looks up from reading text of the ruins of the Morroc Pyramids "You guys keep it down, I am trying to read here.". Erik places his drink on the table and picks up a pack of cigarettes getting a single from that pack. "Aww come on super noob, I know you're a prodigy among the greats but that doesn't mean you have to be all by your lonesome all the time.". Sakura ignores Erik's taunt and goes back to reading. Erik chuckles and throws a pillow at Hanako and nods at Kasuko for the pounce. Hanako sticks her tongue out catching the pillow and teases Erik "Haha nanny nanny boo boo! I am too fast f-" before Hanako could finish her sentence Kasuko tackles her and Erik tickles her into submission. Sakura sighs as he closes his book and slams it on the table walking out of the manor, the other members of the party could be heard murmuring about insignificant subjects. Sakura slams the door behind him as he exits the manor "You guys may be the key to my destiny but, I ain' gonna listen to your incessive ramblings and your childish behavorisms." Walking down a path of corpses made by the party he senses a dark presence but continues walking not hesistating for a second. The path grows darker and darker with each few steps he takes.. a smell of bloodstained metal stains the air making it stale and stagnant. Sakura glares and turns around twirling his staff reacting to a feeling of agitation.. his hairs on the back of his neck are standing on in, a feeling of someone staring a hole into his neck gets stronger as a voice starts to break the silence. "Well.. well.. The hybrid son of Inoue Oshiana. The one who orients from both angel and demon.. the twilight angel who walks in a lit path of Darkness. A super novice the most skilled but far from the strongest.. right Sakura?" Sakura remains calm as he clinches his fist. "... I killed you."

Chapter Two: Regret and Sorrows

Sakura peers off into the eyes of the very eyes of darkness, a shadowed figure stands in his path unseen but is obvious that he is a demented and twisted. "Now now, aren't we getting a little nostalgic Sakura?" The figure comes closer into the light revealing a slender figure with long flowing jet black hair, her outfit is tight and revealing yet hardened and comfortable for protection in combat. Sakura stares into her eyes appearing unmoved by the shock of her dramatic entrance. "Ai, you wish to fight someone of my talents.. yet you're weak compared to me even with your abilities." Sakura brigs his staff up to his chest and begins to cast a special skill. "Inoue, guide my lips to summon my angel..." Ai chuckles at Sakura's attempt to cast his super novice version of fury. "Silly boy, you are talented I'll give you that, but you have to chant to cast whatever skill you want ." she walks slowly to Sakura and smiles "I dont want to fight you either.. but I do want to help you in your quest to find your mothers assassin.". Ai's clothes reek of day old blood, and her eyes are cold from the experience of battle. The air is almost nonexistant and Sakura feels the growth of her skill in the time absent from each other. Sakura lowers his head as he contemplates the offer.. he looks up as he answers.

Chapter 3: Dead inside


Ai peers at Sakura with an expression almost as if she already knows the answer. She frowns at Sakura and then smiles "Now now, brother.. you needn't say what you're thinking I already know. You're so sexy when you play hard to get." She stomps her foot triggering a weak branch to let go of her tomahawk axe. "If thats how it is! I minus well be angry at you for killling me that lifetime ago!" Sakura looks into Ai's eyes unshaken from the declaration of battle. "Idiot.. the past will repeat itself." He twirls his staff and finishes his phrase, Ai stands ten feet from Sakura's location cocky and sure of her victory. "..open the eyes of truth and lies and come to me angel..." Sakura says almost uniformly used to battle his resolve is sturdy as titanium. Ai says sturnly as he summons his angel. "Dear brother, remember when you were happy with me? We were a happy couple." Sakura's eyes seem dead like he isnt alive but he is living."..Skylit paths enshrowded in Darkness I beseige you." Ai frowns as she knows him well enough to know he will not back down from a fight simply by emotional ties. "Fine Brother!? I will strike you first!" Ai throws a huge tomahawk clone in Sakura's direction, her anger is amplified by his unacknowledgement of her. Sakura doesnt bother to dodge or even to hesistate in sight of this huge tomahawk. "Guardian angel..." Sakura says calmly. A priestess calls from within the darkness. "Kyrie Elieson!" Sakura moves to the side as the clone brushes pass him but hits the barrier anyway and glares into the abysmal darkness, when he looks into Ai's direction again she has disappeared. Sakura hears a voice within the darkness. "Another time, cutie." He scoffs at the taunt and waits for the priestess to reveal herself. "Welcome.."

The only thing I hate about branching is I'm not awesome at anything except for writing. I'm not terrible.. however I'm not amazing. If this was a fighting game I'd be the ranger.. my only good awesome ability would be "storywriting".

Anyone know a way to revive a character at a low health percentage (possible 1) from an event? (Keep in mind that I'm not using the RTP battle system so the release after battle thing wont work)

To those who are skeptic about the thin line between humans and animals (in my opinion.. none). I've sparked this debate. Perhaps you don't believe in evolution but will you note the similarities between Humans and (other) animals? Our systems are one in the same, we survive by consuming either plants or animals, and  water is needed to hydrate us. We also urinate and create excrement..

What is a man? (A miserable little pile of secrets! But enough talk. Have at you!) If nothing but an evolved tool user. Do we not bleed? Have we not instincts? Do we not reproduce? If we share so many traits of fellow animals, how are we excluded from the charts?

If you accept this.. you have to admit mankind is nothing but a Rose (<--- yes I am that narcissistic) by another name.

Eventers Guide to Telekinesis.

This system will allow you to control enemies or other NPC's.

First make a Common Event. I named mine Telekinesis you could name yours George and it'll still do the same thing.
This is to be made a Parallel Process.

You: Couldn't it just be made a call event and it'll still be..

After you make your common event assign a switch that you wish to use to call it. I'll name it "Tele 1" This switch must be on whenever you wish to use telekinesis.

First make a State. Name it Controlled.

If you're using an ABS (which this will be most effective in) set the Skill's Occasion to only in battle. It shouldn't matter which Target it is to be used on but to be safe choose "One Enemy". Enter your Actors and Make Dummy Actors for as many NPC's you'll control as needed.

Hit Apply and then Okay to exit out your Database. You's be done wif it dawg.

Now this is for those who wish to use visuals in the game. (To those who are lazy just make an event with no graphic)
Make an event and check these options: Stop Animation, Through, Directional Fix

Now set the Movement Route to Custom and enter this while checking "Repeat Action".

It's no secret; The more you tinker with the program the better you get.

I'm sure if you look back over time at the previous games you made with RM maker the better your next games have looked. Yet, those who are starting off (usually) lack the experience of tinkering around.  I'm sure once you didn't know what a switch was (I can't remember my first time since my first rm maker was rm 95 back in 2000-ish). I do remember the evented ABS and making efforts to duplicate such a marvel.

Could you remember things that you've progressed with as you gotten more experience?

If you could meet yourself in the past, what would you tell him/her to improve on?

My first game was believe it or not; Legend of Harpine; Chapters of Time (for rpg maker 95 / rpg maker 2000/ rpg maker 2003).

On rpg maker 2000 it was to be a Wild Arms 2 clone. The story sucked, the systems sucked, the mapping sucked.

and the reviews as to be expected not in favor of the game. (I never used rips. . didn't like em'). I wish I could play my old game one more time just to see it in action. Alas.. it's deleted forever.

If I could go back in the past.

The title of the game is Goddess!(Exclamation point included.)

Like all of my games it isn't a traditional RPG. So it doesn't focus on talking -much-. There are cutscenes but it's mostly action and puzzle solving.

You are Raiyde. An 300 year old half vampire, half sprite (Muse/Angel). 120 years ago before the beginning of the game, you have lost your bride to vampire hunters. Sadly, you have also lost your life due to a beheading.. (yet somehow you survived). Due to your beheading you have lost almost all memory of how your bride has died.

You start out in a cave hunting a fellow vampire that preys on virgin women. Something about this cave.. awakens passion stirring deep within. What's going on?

Word to the Wise:
[This game is more like an interactive cartoon. The chapters are like episodes. So instead of telling the story from one point of view, it'll tell the story from many character's view. There is no real lead character.. just protagonists.

You follow your goal to reach the end of the game. . completing each episode, unlocking all of the hidden unlockables and uncovering all the easter eggs. When you're finished with the episode you get one last cutscene and the credits.]


Arc 2:
Chapter 2: An unlikely friend and an unwanted enemy.

With the betrayal commited by Terry and Hime to the A.O.B. Chaos breaks loose. Those who were thought dead are re-introduced in this episodic chapter. New allies emerge, old friends become enemies behind the scenes. We are nothing but pawns in the true chaos of the Mid Autumn Garden blossoms.

Rose/Shadow

Unique characters. They cause opponents to bleed to death even if they dont deal damage. Unlike poison, when they cut the enemy the bleeding never stops until the opponent dies.

Rose's Wolf Blitz boosts stats. It may take more than one Wolf Blitz to inflict the heightened status. Wolf Blitz will cause recoil damage in the higher levels.

Shadow is stronger against some elements. Fire being one.

Kel
=================================
Even holding back will mostly likely kill all her opponents in one hit. You don't need strategy using her, you can basically run through the whole level by hitting S.

Lilidya/Ophillia
=================================
Lilidya has stronger defense than Ophillia, Ophillia is overall stronger than Lilidya.

Ophillia will easily die against magic element attacks so be careful when you use her.

Ophillia can weaken/ poison opponents.


Michael/Miranda
==================================
They will help in pinch situations, Michael has a high crit rating and Miranda has the best buffs in game.
Miranda though easily defeated revives swiftly. Michael revives after a long cool down period.
You can kill michael/miranda on mistake so be careful!

Hidden secrets.

In EVERY chapter there at least five hidden unlockables. Some are easily found, others need a strategy guide to find.

Mid Autumn Garden Chapter II Intro Video


A new story unfolds inside a complex series of events. Enter Terry and Hime, two A.O.B. partners in which have formed a unique bond through attraction. This picks up where Arc I left off, after the disappearances of the main protagonists of M.A.G.

Recap of the story
Arc I- Chapter 0

The player is introduced to Rose a contract wielding shadow walker. The story progresses from the A.O.B. headquarters into travel to the Martial Lands. The party is introduced to the stories antagonist an enlightened shadow walker by the name of 'Kel' and her contract 'Gabby'. After fending for themselves the party regroups at an inn.

Arc I- Chapter 1.

After Rose awakes from his coma with a tighter bond with his contract the party has to begin to make heads and tails of the A.O.B's betrayal. Within minutes Kel makes her second appearance, having murdered everyone in the checkpoint she exits. Lilidya and Rose are seperated and a new girl is introduced to the story; Ex- A.O.B. member Vadeena.

Having learned why Vadeena is helping her Lilidya goes to find Rose. After meeting up with Rose once more, she finds out that he has his mind set on leaving the party for good. Lilidya not accepting the cards that were dealt to her follows Rose deeper into the forest. She finds out that Contractor (her old boss) is there (possibly waiting for Kel) and destroys him.

Arc I - Chapter 2

The Arc's Finale. Lilidya makes her way past Lye and into Loki. She finds out last minute that Loki was a trap set for her party to destroy them there.. it is unknown the fate that befell Arc I's protagonists.

An contracted beast master tries to better the world.. in his own way. During a mission he accidentally stumbles across an Organization that proves to be a huge threat for him and his kind.

Mid Autumn Garden Chapter 1!







Rose:
Swiftest and weakest of the Rose/Shadow pair.
Rose is immune to poison/bleeding. Though he's weak, his
strength isn't set like Shadow's and can be stacked.
His melee attacks are able to cause bleeding.


Shadow:
Most effective if evolved through Wolves Berries.
He is also immune to poison/bleeding.  His melee
attacks are able to cause bleeding.


Lilidya:
Weakest of the Lilidya/Ophillia pair.
Though she's weakest in strength she's strongest
against status effects. Like Rose her strength can
be stacked.


Ophillia:
Weakest against status effects/magic yet strongest in game
hands down. She's immune to weaken and dazzle.


Vadeena:
Weakest skill-wise, she has no attack skills.. yet she's able to play with
the opponents mind and use their ailments to her advantage. She is the only
character without the ability to see contracts or possess them. Yet she is
also the only character thats able to use different weapons/armors.

Latisha
The weakest attack wise, strongest skill wise.. she has little to no attack strength
and is unreliable when it comes down to speed and power (when she runs out of SP). Yet
when she has SP she is one of the strongest fighters in game.

Chapter 2.
--------------
Michael
His girl-like appearance throws off his true strength. He seems to be the only human partner
that is stronger than his contract. His skills are one of the strongest self buffing skills in game.
His only drawback is that he can't equip any weapons or armor.

Miranda
One of the most powerful healers in game, she is immune to every status effect in game. She
also has the most powerful reanimation spells in game. She doesn't have to wait for allies to
fall, she can kill allies herself and revive them with godly buffs. Only problem is anything can
one hit her easily and she's so slow that it may not be worth it to use her without buffing her up yourself.


Mid Autumn Garden:
Chapter 2: Loki Prison

With Rose leaving the party Lilidya/Vadeena must become detectives to find him and his hell contract. Rose's sanity is breaking and Lilidya/Vadeena has a set deadline to find them.. all trails lead to one place "Loki Prison". Is the A.O.B. really finished with Contractor or is it just the beginning? The questions are answered in this chapter of Mid Autumn Garden..

The best way to beat her:
Use the Wolves Berry on Shadow that you find in the treasure chest.
Use Rose and shadow's melee attack until she begins bleeding then use
Shadow's spiral fang.


1st Boss Marathon.
------------------------
Aluxes/Malice:
Recommended Level:  3-4
Recommended Items: Potion x2 (Gained from Ghosts)

Aluxes:
Does 220 damage with normal attack
Does 400 damage with cross cut

Drops:
Tonic
Wolves Berry

The best way to beat them:
Use the Wolves Berry to strengthen Shadow even more.
Level up until you're level 3/4 with Shadow/ Rose.  Rose learns Spiral Fang at level 4.. so it
should be childs play to beat them at that level.      Use Rose's two spiral fangs to kill Malice first.
(If you kill Aluxes first Malice will revive Aluxes and they will kill you). Then Melee attack Aluxes to death.

Cyrus/Mace:
Recommended Level: 4-5

Recommended Items: Potion x2 (Gained from Ghosts)

The best way to beat them:
As SOON as you start the battle use Shadow's Spiral Fang on Mace. Afterwards melee Cyrus
to death. You should be able to beat the two in a few turns.

Kel:
Recommended Level: 4-5
Recommended Items: Potion x3/ Tonic/ Essence x2

The best way to beat her:
Rose and Shadow should be on heal duty. Shadow should have two power breaks left if
you played your cards right. Use those two power breaks as soon as possible after that
Shadow should stand aside and heal everyone with Rose until Lilidya/Ophillia runs out of SP.
Leave -just- enough SP for Lilidya to use a Mass heal later (you'll need it). -Only- use Essences on Ophillia, she's the only one that can do massive damage. When everyone runs out of SP use melee on Kel until she dies. The whole party should be able to do 1k damage to Kel with melee attacks alone per turn. If you play your cards right you wont need to use too many potions/essences.

Congrats you've beaten the obstacle of bosses that have made many cry time and time again! *Sigh* You shouldn't be forced to do such a hard thing so early in the game. You're rewarded by the creator for not giving up with ....

Inner Boundries: Rose's Mind.

The best way to beat them:
Use the wolves berry on Rose before you start the fight and be sure to -save your GAME- at the doorway!

Soon as you start the fight melee attack the Parasite's left and right hand until
they start bleeding.. soon as you do that unleash all of your spiral fangs (from Rose and Shadow)until you're out of SP.. Use four essences on Shadow, and use one on Rose. By the time you finish unleashing your barrage of Spiral Fangs the Parasite and his hands should be finished.

The best way to beat her:
Any one of her skills can one hit anyone if you aren't cautious. You -must- use Vadeena's status skills against her to win. Firstly use Womanly Caress on Ophillia (Boosts MDEF).. you also might want to use the Amplifier sold at the item shop (boosts MDEF).  If you use these two Ophillia wont be as weak against magic attacks. To further weaken Latisha use Feeble and Delay on her then go to town on her. She'll occassionally use Nega Status so repeat again until she dies.

How to beat him:
Feeble/Delay him soon as you start. He's powerful but he's slow. You'll be able to hit him four times before he can hit you once. All you have to do is out last him and he'll die soon enough.. yet, before he dies he will summon a corpse which may catch you offguard, so be sure to heal as soon as he does. You'll recieve a rainbow prism when you finish him off.. Refine items like that at the Equipment Crystal. You may want to refine the item you get from the room before the exit/entrance.. that will help you with the hidden boss in the well.

How to beat her:
To be honest, you'll need luck as well as a strategy for her. Her Dark Lullaby is very annoying and you cant really guard against it. Nevertheless when you begin the battle start out with Lilidya using Womanly Carress on Ophillia, and Ophillia using Sharp on Lilidya. You may want Lilidya to use womanly carress on herself as well.. she'll need it. When you're all buffed out have Lilidya use Illusion on her until she dies. Ophillia will have to go on Tank/heal duty when needed. Keep everyone buffed.. and things should go more or less smoothly. Have Lilidya use Illusion and Ophillia keep Lilidya's SP in check until she passes out. Latisha is enlightened this time around so if you want to win against her, you'll actually have to fight with determination this time around.
Remember this with your skills you do 1k per turn, with melee alone you do 500 per turn. You dont have to worry about damage control, just survival.

Chapter 1: Final Boss Fight
Contractor:

Recommended Level: 9-10
Recommended Items: Potion x 10, Essence x 2, Eternal Essence x 2, Tonic x 4

Recommended Party:
Lilidya, Ophillia, Latisha (if unlocked), and Vadeena

Does:
(Status Skills)
Barrier
Fire, Summon.

How to beat him:
Have Ophillia cast Sharp on Lilidya and Vadeena, have Vadeena cast delay/feeble on Contractor.
Latisha and Lilidya should be the main attackers in this fight. Ophillia should be the jack of all trades.
Have the Sharpened Lilidya bombard the Contractor with Illusions, and Latisha use Greater Darkness on him. Ophillia and Vadeena should be on the attack yet be ready to buff/debuff. If he uses Barrier Latisha should be able to debuff him (unfortunately of all buffs/debuffs) with Nega-Status level 2.

Once the Deities are summon make sure you kill them as soon as you see them. The Angel will raise anyone that has fallen, and the demon will one hit kill anyone who is an ally. The contractor will use an annoying skill called Radiate which can one hit everyone if used right which is why Ophillia and Latisha should be constantly caressed by Lilidya to keep them brave in battle.
After the battle there will be one more cutscene and whamo Chapter 1 has ended.
