Event Systems / mission system.

this is an event system that allows you to put specific missions in your game. it includes NPC reactions to you missions your undertaking and have completed, a map screen for selecting you mission, a breifing officer, and everythings 100%(ok 99.5%) customiziable to your specific game. check it out and please give feed back

Script Troubleshooting / making a miniequip menu

ok so i trying to script a menu that can be called form the game and includes all of the weapons in the players inventory  and the amount of that weapon that remains and will allow the player to select a weapon from that menu and equip it. the script is below and i could use some help on geting it to display properly and getting the equip to work (even though its not even in the script yet as i haven't gotten it to display correctly once)

"Tiam":

History of Tiam:

Tiam is a relative new world with only about one to two hundred thousand years to its name a thousand of which people have been in settlement on its surface. Life on Tiam began when Dr. Severus Manis discovered the planet and began to conduct several off-world robotic experiments and so moved his labs to the planet. During his twenty years on the planet Dr. Manis and his colleagues developed a device they called the bubble. with this device they used the natural gases that rose from "vents" on the planet to provide power. However Dr. Manis's original experiments failed to succeed and his finical support was lost forcing him to return to The World, some of his colleagues, convinced that they could succeed remained behind but sadly were not heard from again.          

Tiam went untouched after this for another 100 years until while studying solar phenomenon Dr. Jalrus (pronounced : like walrus but with a J) McCarthy witnessed what is now called the "Second Sun Phase"* of Tiam's moon. Believing this to be the work of a man-made machine Dr. McCarthy immediately requested to send a team to Tiam to further study this phenomenon. Although his request was denied McCarthy secretly put together a tem and went to Tiam.

 Upon Tiam they encountered no people at all. Seeing that the spectacle he witnessed was  because of natural causes McCarthy and his team returned home. Because they had disobeyed their governments order McCarthy's team was executed upon arrival but McCarthy successfully evaded capture and went on to work with Johanns Bachman (pronounced yo-han's bach-man) who discovered dicealine, however both Bachmann and McCarthy were executed by the World Government, ironically enough by being fed to their own dicealine extractor.

On Tiam however the story went only slightly differently. After Manis and his team left  the scientists that remained continued working on Manis's original robotic experiments, only to realize that it was the atmosphere of the area that was interfering. Lack of any working communication devices the scientists set up and began governing themselves however disputes arose between several of the  members and they broke into three separate tribes, these tribes were: G.O.V who were the people who tried to remain loyal to the G.O.V** company and continue work and research, Guild of  Astor were those who were headed by Jacob Astor who believed that they were better off on their own without G.O.V, and finally the Dehrmahn Sector who were the environmentalists of the group and wanted to do further research on the planet for inhabitation. Further disputes several generations later caused the three tribes to go to war in which a fourth group of people opposed to the war left the tribes and formed what they called the Neutrality Tribe.

About 30 years into the war the Neutrality Tribe saw a ship launch from The World heading towards Tiam as it had been named. Each tribe, fearful that one of the others had contacted The World and possibly the World Government or G.O.V  began an extensive space program in which they evacuated the planet leaving behind their cities which they camouflaged. They hid inside a nearby gas moon and there continued their war in space until the ship departed from Tiam. Upon returning to Tiam the tribes signed an a peace agreement. Then several years later it was noted in the populace that several people who had been directly exposed to the gas of the moon had paranormal abilities ranging from simple mind reading to performing complex tasks with only their mind. Ifearing attack from these Paranormal people the tribes began isolating and attacking them. Then almost 10 years later the tribes recognize a fifth official tribe the Clan of Altered.

*the phases of Tiam's moon are the Eaten phase, the Emergence phase, the Second Sun phase, and the Death phase. the process of these phases are as follows: Tiam's moon intercepts course with another more gas-like moon and is enveloped after this moon completes its cycle Tiam's moon reappears and because of a chemical reaction between remaining gases and a mineral found on the moons surface it ignites when exposed to light causing Tiam' to have to light sources for a short time and finial devoid of the gas causing the combustion the fire dies out.

**G.O.V is a robotics research corporation with a heavy hand in the political doings of the World Government, in fact the Head of Government doesn't get to assume office if G.O.V does not approve them.

"The World" :
History of The World:

The World has existed for several million years with its people maturing and advancing much like the people of present day Earth. Up until dycealine(pronounced: dice-a-lean), a powerful and clean energy source, was discovered in various people in society namely those who lived a majority of their life outside or on streets. Soon illegal extraction labs began popping up selling dycealine to both major corporations and black market officials, and the World Government, who were hard pressed to switch over to dycealine energy, ignored the large amounts of reported missing people to cheaply fill the dycealine quotas. Until a Goruan (pronounced Gore-Ran) prince was abducted and killed for dycealine extractions, outrage went up through all of the Goruan countries and a war was waged.
 
 The World Government armies were led by general Tyson McLean against him was the Goruan general Massa JiRe (pronounced Mass-a G-Ray). Throughout the duration of the war both sides were almost evenly matched destroying countless cities. at the end of their 56 year war the two sides had been so severely injured that when the head of the Longly Clan, Stephen Longly declared war on the two states they were almost forced into surrender on the first day.

 From that day the leader of the government was one of the heads of the Longly Clan, though now rather that several hundred small extractories( places where dycealine is extracted) they merged all of the extractories into the Dyce Extraction Firm and furthered the resistance against illegal dycealine testing on humans. however despite this testing continued and it was found that under extremely controlled circumstances dycealine could be used to alter a persons genitic makeup. However research never got far on this topic because the World Government and the Goruan Independents allied and swept out the Longly Clan after their six year reign. The Dyce Extraction Firm was closed, until eight years when a nuclear accident rendered most other conventional form of energy near useless and the plant was reopened under the leadership of Former Longly Clan member Dr. Ryi.

"The Dream":

History of The Dream:

The Dream as it called by those that enter from The World, or Maerd as it called by its inhabitants. It is a mysterious place with a history even more twisted than some of the most corrupt politicians one could think of. the written history of Maerd begins with the first king of Maerd, Gorjen a man who peacefully attained the throne  through sheer wits and intelligence.

  Gorjen ruled for some number of years but the end of his rule there appeared a man in one of the realms claiming to be a greater man that the king himself, by presenting money and gifts to people from out of just the air itself, this man calling himself Merlin attained the throne through popular decision after Gorjen's death and thus began Maerd's age of magics. Thought not every one liked Merlin and soon riots and skirmishes erupted around the capitol city.

 Finally Hamand took control and banned the use of magic throughout all of the realms, but still opposing him was the escaped Merlin who transfered to a separate realm of Maerd to set up his kingdom for a second time. Hamand and merlin went to war but neither Hamand's gadgets nor Merlin's magic cold prevail. finally both side exhausted from the war called a truce. But this would not last long as Hamand was assassinated the very morning after he signed the truce by someone using magic. Hamand's supporters grew angry and soon after Merlin was also assassinated, this time by a gadget user.

 With both sides leaderless a man named Jakc (pronounced Jack) and he brought into Maerd a substance he called Dycealine he also renamed Maerd to The Dream. during Jakc's reign he used dycealine to transform people that he choose as "prophets" and to combine magic and gadgets he also introduced guns into Maerd. a few years into his reign another person came into Maerd calling it The Dream. Shortly after this Jakc stepped down as king and disappeared. Also around the time of Jakc's dissappearence a mysterious man named Death appeared and began killing people almost indiscriminately.

for all of his life he has been held captive by Dr. Ryi being told that because he was different form everyone else that he would always be hated and that the experiment being done on him were to make him normal. he pretends to believe Dr. Ryi but really doesn't believe that Ryi is in any way trying to help him. whenever an experiment failed he was tortured for 3 days because of it, this and Dr. Ryi's statements has driven him to a suicidal insanity in which he now begins each day praying to die. He has never attempted an act of suicide by himself though he spends every waking moment trying to will himself dead.

 He has only been outside of his cell where he is kept 3 times, all three trips were to an examination chamber three room down form his. he has only senn the outside world in the textbooks and novels that he was tought out of.

Dr. Ryi is one of the remaining Longly Clan heads thought he never ruled during their time he was closely involved with DEF before it was shut down and remained actively involved with dycealine after it was closed. other than this not much is know about Dr. Ryi other than his superority complex and his arrogance. Although soon after Dr. Ryi was selected as head for the reopened DEF (Dyce Extraction Firm) a smaller sub company was set up by him for "funding" purposes. It is belived that this is the time when he reopened the Dycealine genetic modification files from eight years earlier, and began his experiments on a dog he named Zend. It is however unknown what became of Zend, but shortly after several workers involved in his experiments with him disappeared. it is believed that there were more experiments in the following three years after Zend and that he visited Tiam at least twice.

what they will be doing:
scripter: script configuration. i now have all of the scripts necessary to run the game.

Mapper: mainly making the maps. you get to name the maps.

tiler: making tile sets and editing them

Spriter: um  mainly making the sprite sets for the characters and maybe some misc. sprite sets and stuff such as vehicles. you get to name most of the characters whoes sprite you create.

Me: eventing,animations,exactly 3 sprites, storyline work, a few maps, & database config.

music technician: will be creating the music for several scenes. will also be doing the sound effects of the animations and the bgs for the maps.

graphic artist: drawing the pictures that are called in some scenes.

Animator: creating animation sets and putting together the animations and effects used in the game

naggers/MSSDGOWHGI ppl: basicly quality assurance and second opinion

storyline technician: helps me develop the story line so that it will make sense when the whole thing unfolds.

Ok, this is not going to be an easy script.

What I need:
*the player can use the mouse to target object/events/monsters in the world then using a key on the key board the player brings up different interaction menus aka(if there was a computer the player might click on it and press d to bring up a a menu thats has attack skills a player could use)
*the mouse can be used inside the menus to select the different options
* theres more than one menu and the commands inside are customizable via common events.
*it can connect to the original menu (the player opens a menu and selects equip and is taken to the equip menu that comes standard with RMXP)
*uses uses the same window skin as the regular menu
*overrides the regular menu
*menu key are customizable

k so Im wirting one of several games i am doing for my long awaited seinor project in visual basic Ill need for the project to happen successfully to have 2 of the following positions.


form designers: youll be creating the forms(windows) that are used in the game


audio/video programmers: youll be adding sound and picture/video cutscenes in the game


controls programmers: youll be writing the code that handels the input from the user


ai programmers: youll be writing the code that works handels the enemy/allie/computers intelegence level.


for all above positions i need to see a minor sample of programing work done in visual basic ai programmers also need to submit a second program demenstrateing the skills in ai programing. all who ask will be accepted i just need to know where you are in vb.

 k i need a cript that will check the stats of one troop vs and enemytroop and decide whihc has better stats and then based upon that knowlage who would win in a fight it need to be 100% compatable with blizz ABS and shoult support more that 15 troops per side.....thx in advance...

Express your Creativity / story line

The Storyflow:Jahn and his adopted brother Xak go out joy flying one day after a long day of  work at the base. whild over the recently created Spordack Mountians they see a figure below them signaling for help, but as they try to descend they are shot down. When they wake they find that they have been taken prisnor to the country of Ladl, upon trying to escape via the old mining shafts the stunble upon a Dragon skeleton and a gateway to the world of the dragons. After entering the gateway Jahn and Xak are seperated because of an attack by a Darkness dragon, after making his way across the plains he finds Xak under seige of a dragon, and rushes over to save him. Before he gets there however a warrior spears infornt of him and slays the dragon and flies off with the corpse after he leaves, Jahn walks over to Xak to find him holding on to large two stones.

When they return to the base the stones are discovered and soldiers take Xak to a "interogation" room to "question" him on the nature and location of the stones that he found. When Jahn finds out that they are instead toturing Xak he kills several of the soldiers and retrieves the stones while off duty. He is outcast for his actions and Xak is told that he was killed during a mission.

During Jahn's travels after his banishment he happens upon an injured girl...after treating some of her injuries he finds that she is Anna one of the decendants of Dart and heir to his dragoon linage, upon showing her the stones he learns that they are summoning stone use to summon the presence of a Judge (the kings of the dragons)...not long after aquireing this knowlage he sets out to summon the judge of one of the stones and tke revenge upon the base for shuning him.

Elsewhere in a town far removed form the events of recent passing(just the stuff that happened before this senteace), three youth are hunted, captured, and shiped off to a mitaliary base because they were "threats" to the town of thier birth. Meanwhile Jahn has summoned the Judge of his stone and is told that in order to be worthy of a dragon spirt he must slay the demon Xak. Distrought Jahn accepts the Judge's challange...with the request that the Judge brings his brother back to life.  Back at the base Xak has assumed Jahn's position as a squad captian(what with Jahn having taught him everything he learned)..but still laments over Jahn's "death" when he is presented with three demonspawn (these so happen to be the youth) that will serve under him as his subordinates...after the intros, and a short fight he finds out that their names are Dio, Alekx, and Cyla after which they quickly become good friends.

Elsewhere Jahn finds a demon named Xak (convient huh) and kills it taking his head as proof of the deed, he then returns to the Judge who gives him a dragon spirit. Upon recieveing the spirit Jahn begins to go insane. While back at the base Xak and Co. have become very supicious surrounding Jahns "death" and begin to investagate it.

They then find out that he was banished form the country and not killed. So they set off to find him. When they meet Jahn is so deranged that he attacks them leaving Xak and co. no choice but to kill him...however Xak captures his spirit as it departs his body hoping that he can apeal to the dragons for his brothers life.

When he is rejected by the Judge he swears to bring down the dragon kingdom as Xak exits the land of the dragons he is stoped by a dragon priest who tells him a prophecy and that the judge is afriad tha if Jahn is revived he will fufill the prophcy (ps.this isn't a good prophecy its basicaly saying that if somone who was deamed worthy of a dragon spirit should die with their wish unfufilled...(remember Jahns wish to have his brother revived) that should they come back their wrath would destroy the world...of course Xak takes back his promise to destroy the dragon kingdom.

Upon returning to the base Xak finds a mysterious letter in his room saying " If you want your brother back...go see Yoh( pronounced: yaow) (who happens to be a diety of the land...more on this to come in the history section) ".later in the day while eating a man approaches him and askes "Are you seeking Yoh?" when he awnsers yes the man then says "follow me". After following the man Xak is lead to a lablike area the man tells him that he can reveive Jahn...but only if he has the body and the soul,furthermore he asks that Xak and Co. help him with some "work". After a short sucessful journy through the death realm they set about reviving Jahn...still in need of a body Xak offers hims self as the "body" for Jahn but is declined. instead the man decides it would be better for Jahn if he recieved a new body one made specificaly for him...after this task is done then the reveval begins...however in the middle of the process someone(undecided on who) breaks in and tries to stop the revival...Xak intercepts him and is thrown into a seprate dimension,  the revival finishes and the man reveals himself to be Yoh and employs them as his prophets(k...well Jahn is prophet and rest are priests) however due to the tremendous drain in his strenght his is not able to rescue Xak but he does create a gate throuht to the other dimension that will allow Xak and Jahn to switch paces for a short time.

The end scene shows...Xak who is still trapped in the other diminsion creating a world and saying "I hate that world....I hate it...and so...I will destroy it" this scene ends the game and calls up the credits

What's needed: a Title Screen and Gameaver Screen, spritesets for the Hitman Reborn characters, battlers for the same characters, an opening BGM, an Gameover ME, and a window skin.


specifics:
-Title Screen: Should have Tsuna(in dying will mode w/ Xgloves Version Vongola ring), Reborn(w/leon), some kind of fire(more of a Hitman kind of fire if possible) related background, the Vongola crest in black, the text for the title should read "Hitman Reborn: XIII Flames" (w/ "XIII Flames" being the Subtitle), and a slight red tint to the whole thing. (images can be provided at request)

  -Gameover screen: Should just add the Vongola crest behind this gameover screen

-Spritesets and Battlers: I only need these done for Tsuna,Reborn,Gokdara,Yamamoto,and Sasagawa (they should look as close to the origional characters as possiable (pictures provided on request))//and the main chars (the main chars should be original but mafiaesque// for ideas i sugest watching Hitman Rebon You'll find somthing there but other than that have at the main characters because they're just going to be originals that who ever makes them would have done)

Dear Reader,

I am looking for parties intrested in game development for the Rpg Maker XP platform and who would also be knowlageable of the anime series Kayeto Hitman Reborn, however this is not a requirement; also intrested parties should own a copy of the development system "Rpg Maker XP" and have knowlage of how to operate the system.  For this production We (we bieng the predevelopment team known as REDd HAlO Studios) are looking for motivated peoples who are willing to actively work with the us on the developmentt of this project.  For this project we will open a set number of slots and anyone of any skill level and talent can join us for this project should certian skills be needed extra spots will be added.  To apply either post here or send me a Private Message notifying me of your intrest and what skills you possess with Rpg Maker XP.

im not quite sure this  goes here...but ...if not pleas someone let me know.

hey im scoace13...(eventman extrodinare) and Ill be starting an eventing shop here where Ill post custom events and take requests for them too


first off:all I require for usage of the custom events that I make is some credit...

second off:   how to aks for an event:
-step 1:decription of what the event should do...
-step2: scripts you are using...
-step 3:when you need the event done by (plz make this resonable)
-step 4: (this one important) what switches and varibles i can use...

so just to throw some stuff out there i gonna put up some esay stuff and some of my favs. just because I care. Though if you dont like what Ive done Im pretty sure that someone some where has done at least some of these too...
for all the events that i post here unless you request somthing from me i start with switch 1(if needed//some times reffered to as swt1) and variable 1 (also if needed//sometimes reffered to as var1)

This is an evented item creation/breakdown/modification system I am going to upload demo this demo uses standard rtp only.
um the demo wont be up today ittl take some time but it will be up with in a week or two..depending on how advanced i decid to go with this

background story:
some time ago in the land of Baan it was peacfull and all was well but since thoes times the people have turned to corruption and so the specter's drew forth into the land the phantoms but it seem that even the spawn of the specter is not immune to the corruption of the world....here in this very world of coruption three diffrent heros form diffrent times and difrent place wil do the unlikely.
main plot:
not quite done could use some work but heres how it goes
- ch1: Antonio Redd is the son of a prominate and welthy merchent Griphen Redd, however when he wakes in the forest one morning and is approached by the four elemental sprits of the land and their master the Phantom of Elements, Issyro he finds that all is not well and after being quizzed on his fathers death...Redd is challanged by the Phantom for the rights to his life...losing the chalange Issyro kills Redd. Elsewhere in a time distant in the future a young orphen boy named D'kex  fight agianst the underworld of society to gain his own freedom. and still elsewhere in both time and place Remmi Lorengaurd struggles to find who she is that is untill the rest of the land finds out what she is.

char bios: (more will be add for later chapters)...(i dont want too much leaked before i get it done.)

-Antonio Redd: Antonio Redd is the son of a prominate and welthy merchent, and loses his soul (and therefore his life) to Issyro.

-Issyro (PoE): the Phantom of the Elements, son of the Specter of Ages. takes Antonio Redd's soul

-Puppet Redd: this is the physical incarnation of Antonio's soul. becomes D'kex's gaurdian (chapter two stuff)

-(this is solid except the name) D'kex: hero number two in our three hero saga D'kex is an orphan boy with little to look foward to in life untill he meets Puppet Redd who shows him that not everything hsa to go accordingto plan (or the rules for that matter)

-Remmi Lorengaurd: this would be hero number 3 (one is redd if you havent figured it out by now) she is a very igh spirited girl with all roads leading to glory in life but she just cant find what road she want to take when one road litteraly takes her all the way two hundred thousand years into the future there she meets CV1080 and finds that she can communicate with and summon spirits form anywhere.

-spirits can be anything so long as they have been blessed by one of the priests of Salem. spirits are pretty much holy pets (even if say your tv was blessed it will be just like a pet) but due to increasing corruption more and more spirits are being tainted.

-tainting a sprit is like just tossing it or allowing it to leave...its really quite sad.

k this ones kinda vague but thats ok cause it needs to be

what i want: title screen *2

what it needs to look like:
-title1: must have a red theme and needs to be midevil but futeristic (dont know how t explain that better)
-title2: should look the same as title1 but minus the red (color not optional)
-(if possible)gameover: (this one doesn't have to be done cause i can use the default if it doesnt get done and its not part of my original request) a bleading matrixish binary style (number must be red background  must be black all else can be any color)

text for titles: Redd Halo

ok i am working on creating a game that will be the worlds best rpgmaker XP game of all time(aka this game will be the walmart of rpgmaker games [sorry target people]) likewise thoes that work on the game will be the best rpgmaker XP programmers of all time. however i need help any intrested parties plz let me know i appricate any help given (even if it doesn't seem like it)

Type of script needed: CBS/CBS (i think)
Other Scripts i am using: StormTronics CMS by Blizzard, Chaos Rage Limit System and related scripts by Blizzard, Stat Distribution System by Blizzard, and RO Job/Skill System by Blizzard, ( i am also in the process of looking for a good vs evil script)

I am looking for two scripts the first script that i am looking for works kind of like and abs for some monster/creatures but still allows you to use a "normal" battle sequence

the second script that i am looking for is a legend of dragoon stye addition system/combo system that would mainly be used for "normal" fighting scens but could still be used outside in the world.
