Ya my wife noticed that. I must have accidently deleted something. I'll see what I can do. It seem this kinda crap happens every time even after I alpha test for 10+ hours...

EDIT: Ok so now I've posted up the smaller demo again BUT you will need the RTP. I'm just clearing that last bit up...
But! it should work. I had my buddy test it on his PC and he said it played fine.

ENJOY!

ok so I added a second download for those who already have the VX ACE RTP. It'll take some time for me to make the first download smaller because I have a lot on my plate at work.

New Projects / [RMXV ACE] Lost Nostalgia
July 10, 2013, 03:03:27 am
Hello everyone,

I used to come to this site and post the things I had created with rpg maker xp (which wasn't a lot...). I thought it only natural to come back to this site where I first got my beginnings with the rpg maker series for the pc. This time however, I will be using RMVX ACE.

As you can see the Title of this game is Lost Nostalgia. (the font I'm using makes the lower G look like a C...)

The story revolves around a single character that you play as throughout the whole game. He has lost all memory of who he is, was, and where he came from. You will
follow Jiro on his journey to discover the answers of his lost memories and, ultimately, help him discover who he is to become. Our memory is what drives us all in our lives and, with
your help, Jiro will better understand the predicaments he must go through. Something is on the horizon for our hero.
Is it his past? Or is it his future?

I will be using RTP and a few other graphics/fonts/music I have found throughout the web to make the game more appealing.
This is NOT meant to be a big project because I have learned over the years to start small and learn through your journey.

Jiro:

Age: Approx. 20
Height: 5'8"
Weapons: Twin Katanas
Description: A young man without a memory. Though he likes the name Jiro, it is not his real name. (His name will be later revealed in the game and a scene will
also show how he obtained the name Jiro.) He was taken in by an Ex-Navy Captain of the Guard, Malek, and his wife, Kianna, after saving their daughter, Laeha, from
a dragon that had plagued the small desert town of Gon Giga for many years.

Here I will provide some sample screenshots from the Demo:

Spoiler: ShowHide

There is much more but for the sake of my fingers I will leave the rest to be discovered through the demo.
The demo will not be long. If you do all events, it should be about 30-40 mins TOPS. If its longer you let me know...:D

Demo:

I apologize for the large file (195.92 MB) for only a short demo.

So tell me what you think! I know most people HATE rmvx ace and honestly, its not the same as RPG Maker XP but I don't mind it. Just try out the game and tell me what's up!
:D

Please let me know if the download is working or not.

man I'll be honest, Id play the game but I don't care how much it costs. If it has 2-3 hours of game play and has RTP in it then I just couldn't see myself buying it. sorry bro.

No, no your critique is much appreciative. I need to work on body structure as well. For now I'm doing the concept art for Galenia and I will be adding some futuristic components into the artwork. :) thank you for your input.

LOL well thanks

You know I've noticed over the course of many years, I have slowly gotten better with my art work. I know I still have a long way but I have improved so much. I am so happy. To everyone out there, no matter what you do keep it up! you'll get better!

Some of you might remember an RMXP project I was working on a few years back (one that I gave up on) called Light: The Rising Dawn. I actually wrote that story 5 years ago so I continually update the story and the way the characters look lol. This is Ben! lol

lol you know, I've been thinking, why does anyone even really care whether we're animals or not? lol does it even really matter? Just live life and have fun. F*** the confusing s*** lol.

ok I asked my friend about this and he said no because we are have sapience. I looked up the work and some history and I'll post it here:
QuoteSapience is often defined as wisdom, or the ability of an organism or entity to act with appropriate judgment. Judgment is a mental faculty which is a component of intelligence or alternatively may be considered an additional faculty, apart from intelligence, with its own properties. Robert Sternberg [1] has segregated the capacity for judgment from the general qualifiers for intelligence, which is closer to cognizant aptitude than to wisdom. Displaying sound judgment in a complex, dynamic environment is a hallmark of wisdom.

The word sapience is derived from the Latin word sapientia, meaning wisdom.[2] Related to this word is the Latin verb sapere, which means "to taste, to be wise, to know"; the present participle of sapere forms part of Homo sapiens, the Latin binomial nomenclature created by Carolus Linnaeus to describe the human species. Linnaeus had originally given humans the species name of diurnus, meaning man of the day. But he later decided that the dominating feature of humans was wisdom, hence application of the name sapiens. His chosen biological name was intended to emphasize man's uniqueness and separation from the rest of the animal kingdom.

Ok no as you can see he basically said we can pass judgement and we're inteligent or whatever. I really don't care but I want to see what everyone else here thinks about his argument. Oh and btw, I DON'T think animals judge one another and select their own leaders. Animals fight for leadership and ever sometimes kill one another (humans do too) but I've never seen (or heard) of a group of animals electing their leader. If we did that, than obama sure as hell wouldn't be the president of the united states. but anyways, back to the sapience thing. Lets see what everyone here thinks.

Oh @Blizz I don't believe we came from anything but humans. That's just my beliefe (hence my religion and take on God).

I believe we have similar traits as animals. I DON'T believe that we were once a small single-celled organism (hence I believe in God and what-not). I believe in some ways we classify as animals but we also have traits that seperate us from them. I'm not saying we are animals and I'm not saying we are not animals. To me, the human being is too unpredictible. Animals usually follow a similar pattern that their previous generation does but we constantly change (correct me if I'm worng). Some of us strive to be better than those before us. Some of us don't give a sh**. One may think careing and loving upon the world while the other one wishes to kill ever f***ing person he/she sees (lol). We all go our seprate ways. Examples are aliigators are usually aggresive because that is a trait they carry and they choose to follow that instinct. We actually choose to follow an instinct or not. Animals basically know they MUST do this to survive so they attempt to do whatever it is in order to survive. Humans are, how should I put this, different. We choose whether or not to do what is nessecary. We are complex and we do not even come close to knowing our full potential. The average human only uses 9.9% of their brains. the smartest person has only used around 15% of their brains (correct me if I'm worng). Who knows what we could do if we used all 100% the the same time. We could be something more and I see us one day being able to use all 100%. Who really knows if we're animals are not. To me its not based of DNA and similarities, but what we can achieve.

All of this might be a pile of sh** but I reall don't care. just thought I'd throw my own thought into this  :^_^':

I would try adding some abstract brushes, grunge brushes, all kinds of bad a** brushes, for future use. I have a large librbary of brushes I dl'd. the best place to look would be deviantart. the users make some sweet looking brushes for photoshop only the brushes I have are for CS3 but I think they'll work for CS2. Anyways, welcome to the business lol.
