[[[[I wish I could find a free download link to Windows XP.]]] then I would find a tutorial that would teach me how to uninstall vista and install XP]]]

I wanted to buy a laptop but all the only ones available had windows vista on it.  There is just no way I'm settling for Vista.
So if I WAS to buy it, how would I uninstall vista and install XP.
(Nothing supports Vista. Why Microsoft? WHYYYY)

Anyway, answer the question and you'll level up, point blank :)

I never have problems with programs not working in Vista... o.o

Once you get rid of the unneeded stuff like Aero, Vista isn't /too/ bad.

Buy one of the new laptops that come with a free upgrade to Win7.

And no, some things don't *officially* support Vista, but they also don't *officially* support anything anymore because they're so horribly out of date. Get over yourself and actually try the programs first.

this and if you buy a vista computer now you automatically get a free upgrade to 7 and 7.... is AWESOME or you would wait untill after OCT 22 and get a computer with 7 already on it. and the latter i think is your best option friend

Upgrade to Win 7, that's easier than messing around with creating an XP disk with SATA drivers using nLite. #_#

Am I able to update that immediately or do I have to wait after October 22nd?

Edit: I'm aiming for a laptop

You'll have to wait until whoever you get it from ships it to you, which can take up to a few weeks. So, like Rye said, your best bet if you want it ASAP is to just wait until the end of the month.

Of course, there are current clearance sales going on that still have the free Win7 deal, so you might want to look in to those anyway.
