I agree. Sell 1000 copies and you earned $19000. That's not just some pocket money. ._.;

You could buy approximately 38 licenses of torque with that.

Personally, I get mine for free because I'm in game dev, but meh.

If you want a really versatile 2D game engine, I'd recommend torque game builder, hell, you can port it over to XNA so you can put it on xbox live and make money off of it.

Used it in one of my classes and it's pretty great. I'd think about it if this is a serious endeavor for you.

actually a belt buckle would work especially if the char equipped with it was some kind of robot/cyborg...the buckle could be some kind of power booster/attack modual

No, he would just hit people with his belt buckle.

Are you saying you'd leave children in a cage if you had the choice to let them out?

It doesn't have to be sexually motivated to save them you know.

General Discussion / Re: RPG Maker XP vs VX

I started my RPG making days with 2000, then tried 2003, got tired of the battle system, switched back to 2000, then I went over to XP. I TRIED VX recently but I liked XP alot more.

I'm putting as many cliches as possible in my game as possible, and more awesome for it.

Also, people need to play my demo and make sure that the sound works in it.

EDIT: On the matter of uncliche weapons, I was originally going to make one of my characters weapons be a belt buckle, to make fun of how ridiculous some weapons are solely because they want their character to use a "unique" weapon.

While working on my own game, I noticed that when you make the game so it's slightly challenging for yourself, people will have huge problems and find it pretty hard. Use that experience as a guideline.

Words of the wise right here. I generally try to make my bosses (well, the tougher ones) beatable (by me, atleast) without using any health potions and such, but I give the player a number of opportunities to get them, so they shouldn't have a shortage of them :p

Oh I could easily make it myself in photoshop, I just couldn't be assed to spend time over something so minor when I started.
