Yeah, I dunno.
I just assumed it'd be safe, like CNET's downloader is (it actually lets me choose to uninstall stuff, rather than installing things without me ever knowing), because I trusted Coolrom. Oh well.
Also, I've updated the original post.Quote from: Colonel Blinx on February 02, 2014, 03:53:29 pm
EDIT:
Forgot to mention it installed something called Optimizer Pro without me knowing.
You know, one of those programs that says your computer is leaking out its ass with threats, when in reality, it's not.
Boy, I was confident I didn't need virus protection, because I now have a very good grasp of internet security.
Coolrom was one of those websites I felt was safe, but not fucking anymore! Time to get some protection on this fucking bitch.

Though, I suggest you try to get an i5 or i7 Intel CPU. AMD is lagging a lot behind in CPUs lately. Today's games also use a lot of CPU, not just GPU. e.g. I used to have problems with previous AMD CPU laptops where the frame rate would drop only for a short moment which indicates a CPU overhead at that moment. My new i7 laptop works great on the other hand (I have an HD 7500 I think).
