for this feature, i see no need for a script. also, i cannot see this being an overwhelming parallel process and i cannot see this affecting the flow of your game at all...

not too shabby! could use those touch ups, but definitely a unique piece. it is very original and pretty well organized for your first upload. i don't know that it will blend seamlessly with the standard RTP, but i bet it looks good in-game nonetheless. i'm giving you +1 because i'm sure you spent plenty of time generating this, and i feel it's worth it! great job!

i would take a closer look at the rainbow affect around the pipes and the grey wrapping your smoke. other than that, the aliasing probably won't pose much of a problem.

p.s. unfortunately, i no longer run RMXP on my CPU so i can't get a better look, but great job!

about aliases...
when defining an alias' method, should you only write the modifications you want to make to the original definition, (in other words, only the mods) or should you include the original definition plus the modifications? (in other words, re-write the original definition and add the mods)

this is what i've decided might work well. during cutscenes, i'll allow the player full control over messages with the input command, but when speaking with NPCs the window will close automatically after a brief display. if you missed it, simply speak to them again.
