He lives in the tiny attic of a house and owns little more than a mattress, a laptop, and clothing. He is 25 years old.
Why is he worth mentioning? He's a millionaire.
Why else? He's my brother.
lolwut.
What? O-o
How'd he become a millionaire? :o
working and investing. He graduated from college at 22 with a steady job and $10,000 of student loans.

This.
Why is he in this situation? Why doesn't he get a decent place to live and gets some furniture and stuff?
According to him, he's moved to different apartments three times, and he hates moving stuff, so during the last move, he sold most of his stuff on craigslist.
He's also gotten over materialism. He says he is happier living with less stuff.
It's not about materialism. It's just about getting a place so he doesn't have to think about paying the rent anymore. Oh well.
As I said, he has to move somewhat often, I don't think he wants to bother with a house yet. Plus he would hate doing all the work to maintain a house, and paying people to do it would cost more than rent. I doubt he spends much time at home anyways, he works hard and parties hard.
Your brother sounds awesome. I like his idea on less stuff. A laptop and bed is all I'd really need.

Some food, a shower, and extra clothes is not required then? lol
And to be honest, less is almost always never the best at all.
To be honest something in between is the best probably. I mean my room (I live in a flatshare) is only about 12 square metres or below, but I have everything in here I need, which is not much either.
a bed a small kitchen with a stove, oven and refrigerator; a computer; and a wardrobe is all I really need.
I have a fridge and computer in my room and a bathroom literally two meters away from the door. If I need anything else, the kitchen is about 5 meters down the hall. I have a massive cupboard/wardrobe which holds pretty much anything I need.
It's surprising I'm not gargantuan.
I'd only need a bed, computer, clothings, bookshelves, scanner/printer, food, drinks, refrigerator, stove+oven+microwave, television and a cage for my hamster to live in?
