Overgrowth by Wolfire Games is very promising, indeed! :)
The alpha is really fun as well, and I bring some screenshots to share:

Can you give a bit more detail about what the game is?
Branden doesn't understand that not everyone has heard about this game. He was shocked when I told him I've never heard of it. :P
I really can;t tell what the point of the game it.

You know, I gladly would have gave info of what it is if there was a substantial amount.
Since it's in Alpha stages, this is all there is:
QuoteOvergrowth is a 3d action-adventure game for Mac, Windows, and Linux, coming soon from the independent game studio, Wolfire Games. It is the spiritual successor to Lugaru.

That's the funny thing, there is no point except messing around with the game's engine since it's in
alpha stages, and the story is not yet presented.
I make a topic, and I get comments like this. Great! :D
:V:
I'll keep an eye on this thread for future details I guess.
Cool. Also, did anybody watch the video? Or are you even to view it for that matter?
Just making sure DM's not being a bitch to guests. :3
I was able to, frankly looked boring but then alpha aren't meant to do much more that demo the engine. and in that respect it's pretty good.
There's actually a whole lot more to the Alpha. You can create custom maps, fight and kill enemies, create races, ect. It's surprisingly great for being so early.
EDIT:
I shot gameplay of combat, which I am going to upload really soon. The first video was meant to show off its physics.
Next video I will record will be for map creation, so you all can see that. Though, you can always check out Wolfire's YouTube channel, too(which I think is on their website I posted).
EDIT 2:
And here's the new video;

I must say the last few moments of the combat video was pretty funny,4 of them ganged up on you.
kinda suck my laptop can't run it(it's very crappy) or i'd be messing with it too.
Were the slow downs effects of the engine or video editing? If its part of the engine I may try it out. Only because the jumping then slow mo killing looks awesome.

A part of the engine, actually. You can slow down any part of the game by pressing TAB, and then speed things back up by pressing it again.
