So like, I am seeding my music collection. :3
If you want a piece, PM me or my other personality game_guy for the torrent link.
*humps blizzard's leg* I was going to ask you for something like this.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. IT ALREADY HAS 4 LEECHERS. AHAHAHAHAHA.
:V:
ye gods, with this my collection will more than double in size!
I hope this works right because I don't see anybody connected right now. Also, there was no up traffic yet. ._. Maybe I suck at creating torrents?

I know my first couple were some epic fails. I didn't understand the whole "tracker" thing.
I kinda do understand what a tracker does, but I'm not entirely sure I set everything up right. I'll google around a bit.
darn, I've been connected for a while but I can't connect to the seed. it says it's there but I'm not connected to it.
Haha, I got it working. Looks like the "Initial Seeding" option for superseeding is faulty in uTorrent.
Alright, guys, be aware that there is 11.5 GB of music and I have a max upload speed of 256 kbit/s (even though uTorrent's test showed 312 kbit/s O_o) so this will take a while. I'll obviously leave my PC on during the night, etc.
The torrent also includes my album "The Storm is coming". I have decided that I don't care about the money earned from that album (not like it's much ._.) so I'm going to try to use that album as promotional material as much as I can while I keep working on "Perfect Chaos". That doesn't mean you can't still actually pay for my music. :V:
we'll I'm dling now, it will probably take several days but i'll get all 11 GB and I'll seed for a few weeks after that so...
also I already bought your music (out of curiosity how much you you actually get form your music? a few hundred a month? I don't think you get much more than $200 USD if that. your not exactly well known.)
The tracking thing only updates every couple of hours or so. Which is why no initial traffic shows. Also I'm streaming your music while it downloads. VLC rocks. :3

Hah, I wish. I earned a bit more than $50 in almost 2 years. I realized that marketing and promotion is a very, very important and difficult thing to do. It'll take time.

Depends on the scene really.. but I imagine it to be very difficult for trance, or any kind of dance music really. People could be dancing to your music in clubs, but still not know your name, let along ever buy your music.
Au contraire, say what you want about postrock, but it has some of the most loyal fans ever... if you make good music, and put it on the internet where people can see it, they'll find it, follow you and insist to buy your album even if you offer the music for free. I mean, I'm not even close to finishing my EP, and people are already ordering it on vinyl. But then again, even if you get big with postrock, you can't get *as big* as with trance, so it all has its pro and cons.

Well I figured you didn't care since it
is thepiratebay.

I agree on that. It's easier to get fans in genres other than Electronic, but there's kind of a limit to how high you can get (it's not a universal rule, there are obviously exceptions). These days only Electronic music and Pop are kinda popular along with Hip Hop. The rest pretty much staled down. Even all the rock songs that are popular sound more like Pop Rock.
Torrent's not working. Also, 'tis not about what's more popular, 'tis about what you like making.
Weird. I left my laptop turned on at home. It should keep seeding even while I'm at work.
I should know, Naoise. :P Just wanted to add that to what blizz said.. I really like my postrock scene though. Leaves you alot of freedom too, as long as it has the cinematic aspect, it qualifies. Downpoint is though that the fanbase is nearly completely male for some reason, which I really don't get. :V
Don't worry about that. A wise man once said "Lead the men and the women will follow." xD
EDIT: Piratebay deleted my account and removed the torrent. O_o; Anyway, I updated the first post with the monova upload I did.
me and G_G have been stuck at 3.3% all day...
And if it makes you feel better. I've uploaded more then I've downloaded.
._. IDK, my laptop's been online all day and night. Though, yesterday I've uploaded probably over 500 MB apart from torrent (I was uploading my music to Soundcloud and Youtube). My torrent said that no leechers are connected when I went to work.
perhaps if you restarted your torrent program. let it try to reconnect?
I restarted my whole laptop before I went to bed. ._.
ya, your obviously not seeding anymore, all the peers I'm connected to are at 3.3% too. and none are downloading.
Why'd Pirate Bay delete your account anyways?
IDK. It's not like I did anything that nobody else did.
EDIT: There, I fixed it. *rewards himself with fries and sausages with ketchup aka today's lunch*
It got to 4.1% then stopped again. :(
IDK. :/ I have even turned on port forwarding (and now it seems to work). I even have 2 leeches connected right now, but the upload is terrible. I am barely uploading 1 kB/s. :/
EDIT: After a restart of uTorrent it works again. IDK, uTorrent has started acting weird. When I shut it down, the process would actually stay up until I kill it manually with the task manager. :/
The Download stopped again... perhaps you need to use a different program? utorrent was freezing up on me a bit ago but that was because some file system errors on my external HDD we locking up any program that tried to access it.
once I got the errors fixed it and WMP stopped locking up and generating undieing processes. (the process wouldn't die until the HDD was disconnected form the computer, infact it even stoped my computer from shutting down and I had to do a hard reboot a few times until I figure out what was going on.)
but that's nether here nor there.
No, I was busy today and I had to take my laptop with me. At one point I had Internet access for a short time, but that was it.
It doesn't seem to be running right now, though, so I will restart my laptop again.
Aside from that, I never actually had problems with uTorrent before. :/
it's been holding at 99.4 for more than a day now. I've restarted my computer and utorrent twice in that time.
What the fuck? ._. It's been seeding properly the whole time.
weird.
I'm uploading with 20kB/s+ right now. :/
I'm not even all that disappointed its been stuck on 99.4% for the past 4 days for me. I only have 14 songs left, 12 of which belong to Blizzard's album which I've already bought twice so...:3 cheers everyone!
How about now?
99.5 one of the songs that wasn't yours finished.
Fuck. ._. I tried what I told you yesterday. It doesn't seem to have worked.
have you done a Force Recheck of the torrent? if it doesn't come out as you having 100% of the files it's not going to work
I wanted to do it many times, but it's grayed out. I have an idea, though how we can pull this off. Be tonight (your timezone) on IRC, I'll explain it to you.
you have to stop the torrent before you an do a force check
<3 I'm on it.
EDIT: Alright, I couldn't get things working properly. I'll try some more extensive methods tomorrow.
EDIT: Somebody said you were missing only 12 of my 14 songs, right? Can you send/upload the two songs that downloaded properly? It could help me fix the other files.
I would, but I can't remember what they were.
Don't worry. I found a copy of the songs that it quite old. My work collegue will give them to me tomorrow probably.
*double posts*
Something's seriously wrong with this torrent. :/ I've made a new one and it's working just fine. I have 4 peers at over 25% already after about 48 hours. PM me if you want the new torrent. If you get the new torrent, you will mostly be able to resume your old torrent. How? First start the new torrent in a directory new location. Let it run for a minute or so (usually you don't have to, but safe is safe). Then hit the stop button. Move all files from the old torrent into the location where the new torrent is. IDK how it works with other clients, but in uTorrent you have an option that says "Force Re-Check" when you right click on a torrent. Do that with the new torrent. It should recognize most of your files as downloaded and then you can continue. You will probably be at 99.0% - 99.5% after you do that.
