Title: 0-post accounts

I will delete all 0-post accounts older than 30 days. Currently there are 41 accounts with 0-posts, I didn't check how many are older than 30 days. I will only reconsider my idea if most people are AGAINST it.

I'm definitely not against it. Are you going to send an e-mail to these 41 accounts to state that their Chaos-Project account will be deleted? I recommend you should, unless you're going to get suspended for such a whopping number of send-outs. But I think this is a nice idea, and it should stand. Besides, since none of our post quantity and quality will be tainted, having less members and more posts is something to easily brag about.

Well, I agree its pretty useless to keep 0-post accounts around. Voted "I agree", but if you would like to keep the total member count up. Still though, I agree with your plan.

As I have said many times already, I rather have a forum with 300 members of which 100 are very active instead of a 10000 member forum with 10 active people. xD

@SRK: No, I'm not planning to send an e-mail. If they come back someday, they can register again.

Well, Blizz, there's about a tenth of the active forum already agreeing.

We might as well all say we're unanimous here in the vote, so Blizzard can delete them today or something of that. I don't think he deleted them yet, we have 169. Everyone, keep account of that number! It's going to reduce down to...128 I think. I wanted more deaths...:( Oh well.

That is a strange way to say it... O_O XD
Nobody disagreed, makes it more simple.

So.. Blizz does that mean you'd rather have the few active members on this forum than 100000's of not so active members? :-[

I completely agree!! I would.

Think of it as making events in RMXP. The more of nothing you have causes unwanted lag. In the same sense, they are consuming the usage of space for legible members.

I must be living under a rock. Those members are now gone. That 41 number though is kind of less...since it's around 135...So the topic kind of turned obsolete...Unless we're now killing more members, the ones that have zero posts regardless. Doubt it though.

As I said, I didn't delete accounts of members that were active within the last 30 days, even if it was just stalking. Of course I didn't delete accounts of people who I know from earlier but who haven't posted. But I accidently deleted MeTM's account. >.<

A famous scripter. But unlike Seph, he doesn't act like an idiot sometimes. xD

IDK, hard to tell. He is one of the few who worked/are working on Netplay+ and if I'm not wrong one of the UnknownCoders who made the NeoABS.

That sounds more like Mr. Mo rather than Me...Heh.

I know of MeTM. I saw his account somewhere in the other forums.

He's a member of other RPG Maker forums, I think he's moderately well known. Not as much as SephirothSpawn, Trickster, or anyone of that caliber, but someone rather of decent knowing...like Samo the Thief. :P
Title: Re: 0-post accounts
Post by: Blizzard on June 23, 2008, 03:57:41 am
Isn't MeTM one of the UnknownCoders as well? O_o
Anyway, as far as I know MeTM is a pretty good scripter. He only didn't make many scripts, but the few he made were very advanced. That's the only difference.

@Valcos: It's not a secret organisation, they just call themselves like that. Imagine Me, Zeriab and Falcon would call ourselves Zerizzacon.

i agree to it because all the people are doing is creating a accout to get the scripts and never coming back on! >:(

Erm... if they want the scripts, they don't have to register. Guests can read the forum without registering. They only can't post.

More like they create an account because they want to leech off of our knowledge (Especially Blizzard) then never come back and probably not going to credit these people. That's the worst case scenario for these people though...

TIME FOR ROUND 2! *enters into admin CP with a whip* Who will be my bitch today?

EDIT: 6 accounts have been deleted. 3 have not been deleted because I know those people from earlier.

good. if you delete people that dont use there accounts then that means there is no wasting webspace and probebly slowing down parts of the website.

i think that made sence lol
Title: Re: 0-post accounts

The best part is that we can continue bragging at how much little members we have, but there's an astounding amount of posts in CP. Why, if you do the math and distribute evenly among posts, about 172 posts or so would be for every user. Now that there is less than 208 or so, the number will probably rise (176? 179?).

CP is the first forum I've been on that didn't die once I came  8)

We're pretty high up now! I searched "Blizz abs" and we're second w00t!

I search for "Blizz-ABS" and only a few sites are above us. Even RMRK is below. And there's this link I found. xD

Well take this into account; I searched for RPG Maker XP ABS and Blizz-ABS was on the first page, Results 9 and 10. I searched for Best ABS for RMXP, and I got Blizz-ABS, first result (With the exception of Youtube Videos). And someone on Gamespot asked for help on your Tons-of-Addons...-_-;

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS270&q=Tons+of+Add-ons+RMXP&btnG=Search

It's all in the results.

I can't wait for Blizzard to release something truely amazing, maybe a kernel but maybe something that'll rock the world. But it'd better open-source >8U
