I'm just curious tho.. isnt that pic the Pichu attackin after it said 'UltaFlame's ember'? its possible that he just named the Jynx Pichu, seeing as it shows 'ultaflame' attacking, and pichu then attacking.

but then, ladt i checked, Jynxs would have a higher hp than pichus at lv 5.

Post by: Punn on June 24, 2008, 09:04:24 pm
@Dio: What Tv..? I hacked it this morning lol..

@Ulta: Its impossible, when a pokemon is about to attack (In stadium) they always face on the one its gonna attack, if Ultaflame is gonna attack, the window will say that Ultaflame is attacking and face towards it.. (btw I also hacked Jynx's type o_O;;)

Okok heres how Pichu won:
- Pokerus
- Cought on lvl 2, Jynx was cough on level 5
- Outstat Jynx, gave Pichu "Nevermeltice" and Jynx "Charcoal"
- <3 the pichu so I gave 2 stat boosting item.. :(

Um... should I make it shiney pokemon instead...?

Best. Pikachu. Ever.

Almost as great as the Pichu that used Blizzard to beat the knocking daylights out of Jynx...known as UltaFlame. 'Noticed Jynx was purple...guess this is after the racism thing, or else it would have been black...

If only you made a whole image gallery that dedicated the Pikachu imagery. XD

I figured you used a blank Pikachu face, I mean, the original contents of the Pikachu aren't there...but nevertheless, impressive.

And Mums, how exactly did you commit doing this? I was looking around Google and etcetera about hacking Pokemon Stadium 2 but I got Stadium 1...o.o

Somehow, babies have the feeling that they are not guilty. They can do anything they want, and not get punished. Therefore, a diabolical plan hatches from their brain and it will execute. Think of Stewie from Family Guy. Evil baby. Period.

Through the power of hacking, you can change Mudkip's type to Ice through special hacking device
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 20, 2008, 08:03:05 pm
Hm, I should replace one Pokemon to make it a Blizzard. Through ROM hacking for the GBA games, there's some easy Pokemon editors (Like YAPE) that can modify all the Mudkip items, and other ones. I still wonder how well the ?????? Pokemon do and if they really exist.

And mumerus, since Mudkip only appears in Colosseum and Battle Revolution, that's going to take more skill than Stadium.  :ninja:
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: GAX on July 21, 2008, 01:41:42 am
?????????? or 10 Questions is actually not a pokemon, it's a data placeholder for a blank in the pokedex.  But, a problem arises when you use a cheat device to encounter a non-existent pokemon, in which the Placeholder appears as a pokemon with no stats.  Capturing it can result in a Bad Egg, which is an Egg that has NO hatch data (it has nothing inside it, it's just a shell really), and if it could hatch, it'd possibly be like the Glitch Egg from Pokemon Gold and Silver, which would be caught in a constant hatching loop hatching into another glitch egg.
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 21, 2008, 09:40:59 am
Yeah, Bad Eggs are really deadly. I heard many stories about how life-threatening they are to games, it's just a way to show cheating has its catches. Interesting, thanks. :)
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: GAX on July 22, 2008, 01:09:41 am
Well, I think I'll clean up some missconceptions about Bad Eggs right now.

My Pokemon Fire Red actually has 3 Bad Eggs on its save file.  Here's how it works though.  Let's say you enter two "encounter this pokemon" codes (I did Mew and Jirachi) and you encounter something completely different in the wild (Fearow with NO HP), I quickly throw a Master Ball at it and it's caught, I catch two more because hell, they're Fearow and they're shiney at that), now I go to the pokemon center to see what I caught and...le gasp, 3 Bad Eggs.  Now, I decided to have some fun.  My gameshark that I had at the time (not any more, advice kiddos, DO NOT LEND OUT GAMESHARKS) had the ability to make a direct backup of the game's Save Flash, therefore allowing me to look through the save game's data.  A friend of mine pointed me in the direction of where the box I had stored my pokemon was and sure enough, I found the information about my Bad Eggs.  I looked through and what I saw actually reminded me of when I disassembled Pokemon Gold and found my Glitch Eggs.  In all reality, the egg was no more than an egg, but with two problems.  The first problem is that it already had the immunity to Pokerus.   The second problem scared me a bit, there was NO species data, so the egg could not hatch.  I decided to test this by loading my file in an emulator with a backed up copy of Pokemon Fire Red that I had made, and my theory was correct.  I used the Instant Hatch and of course the egg hatched, but when the screen goes white after the egg broke open, the game completely froze.

Bad Eggs are no more than Eggs with no hatch data, but if they are hatched, there is a MAJOR risk if you're using a cartridge in that the saved game can become horribly damaged.

I'm not doubting that Bad Eggs don't exist anymore, in fact they may very well still be present in Diamond, Pearl, and even the up coming Platinum and the Gold and Silver remakes.  Here's pretty much my reccomendation on how to dispose of Bad Eggs.

Obtain a Pokemon Generator, I prefer Cirus Pokemon Generator, as it works for the RSE and the FR/LG games.  Next, put the bad eggs in a slot, by default my generator is set to use the last box's last slot.  Place the bad eggs there and save your game.  Now, in the generator, make a pokemon.  If you dont' want to cheat, make a cannonfodder pokemon (Ratata, Zubat, etc).  Now, generate the code for your cheat device and use this code in the device.  This will replace the Bad Egg with a cannonfodder pokemon.  Now, you don't have to save and restart for each egg, instead what you do is you take the next bad egg, put it in said slot, then switch boxes and it'll be replaced with the cannonfodder.

I of course haven't done this to my Fire Red though because I no longer posess a Gameshark (Fucking FUCK).

Sure, the MISSINGNO. ordeal is always crazy. Or any glitches back in the Red/Blue times. I recently watched a Speed Run using glitches, especially Glitch City to waltz all the way past the Pokemon League gates and could reach to the Elite Four without the need of all 8 gym badges.  :O.o: I wonder how that works.

Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: GAX on July 25, 2008, 06:04:24 pm
Booyah, now we're having fun!

Okay, the explanation for Missingno. is actually kinda fun in my oppinion, but I don't understand how one thing works.  When Missingno. is encountered, item #6 in your inventory becomes "infinite" (Just over 99 though, I don't remember the exact number).

Missingno is kinda crazy, in that it has 4 different forms.  The most common is the backwards L style hodgepodge you have there psted by Blizzy.  The others are a determined if a letter is present in the 3rd, 5th or 7th slot of your name.  In the case of his Ghost form (How pokemon appear in Ghost Tower before gettting the Sylph Scope), it has to be a lowercase y.  For the Aerodactyl Fossil, it's a lower case w, and for the Kabutops fossil, it's a lower case w.

What I've always found odd is that if you have a Missingno UNDER level 100 and you level it up (I did it via rare candy) it'll evolve into a Kangaskhan.  Believe me, the funnist shit you can do with this is teach Missingno. "Fly", evolve it, and then transfer its ass to Stadium to have a few good laughs.

Now, the reason Missingno. Appears is actaully quite funny.  First, Let's look at the data for Cinnabar Island AND Viridian City.  There is no "Tall Grass" encounter data for either location.  Because of this, Cinnabar Island has another abusable glitch that I use, making you able to encounter Safari Zone pokemon where you'd catch Missingno.   Now, when switching between maps, encounter data will be replaced with the new map's encounter data.  This doesn't seem to happen between Viridian City and Cinnabar Island though.

Now, here's where the wierd part begins.  Out of either laziness or just resourcefulness of the Nintendo programmers, they decided to use the area of data where Encounter Data is stored in the RAM to temporarily change the main character's name to OLD MAN, keeping the player's real name stored in this memory area.  Normally, this wouldn't be a problem though, seeing that encounter data would be replaced.  Well, here's the problem.  Cinnabar's coast is STILL Cinnabar Island, there is NO encounter data, so when surfing along the coast, here's where the problemo arises.  After surfing for a while, it'll innitiate a battle using the encounter data thats stored.  Well, the encounter data is a player's name, so the only result is...MISSINGNO.

It's in all honestly a hex-error of some sort.  It is actaully fun to know that the MissingNo. Glitch could easily be compared to the Mew Glitch, with the Mew Glitch being a bit more precise in terms of screwing with hex data.

Anyone wanna ellaborate more, because I don't even full understand this.
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 25, 2008, 06:10:17 pm
Sure...I'm just going to bark up random crap here. The Mew Glitch is just the more famous part of what actually is a real glitch. All it involves is the Gambler below nearby the Kanto Bikers (Which is east of Saffron to my knowledge). As you fly away from the Gambler, right before he notices you, he'll then notice you, and the game will think you are in a battle. Therefore, the start menu is disabled. Fighting a trainer will end this, but it'll generate a special Pokemon at this one area (Lavender in the case of the Mew Glitch). The trick is though, you can fight any trainer, not just the Youngster with the Slowpoke. It's all about values...that's all I know.

http://trsrockin.com (http://trsrockin.com) has glitch information in an in-depth notion. I recommend you should see it.

You can also try it on the emulator but chances are your gonna 'gameshark' Mew
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Blizzard on July 25, 2008, 09:14:46 pm
No, I meant that I didn't know about the Mew trick. Some say it's yet another MissingNo. in disguise, lol! It takes some time until it really turns into a Mew. Maybe that's why it messes up.
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 25, 2008, 09:35:08 pm
It's not "really" a jacked up Mew, actually. It's just a Mew at the level of 7. I think all the Pokemon/Glitched Pokemon you can acquire from that method are Level 7. Who knows...Who knows...
Title: Re: ...@!?

Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 26, 2008, 10:45:16 am
There is a glitch that allows you to skip Brock using the same pausing mechanism. All you need to do is once you're about to get noticed when you're going to Mt. Moon (The route that leads there), you press start and save. Reload, and the event will automatically trigger, but in the wrong area, and therefore, that person is gone. Check out the speed run of Blue version for details.
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Valcos on July 26, 2008, 02:57:20 pm
Hmm never did a speed run before . What was the fastest time it was done?
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 26, 2008, 03:00:08 pm
The fastest time from the beginning to the end with the use of glitches is 1 hour and 26 minutes. Without the use, it should be around 2 hours. Now, before you get out your game note that the speed run was NOT done on an emulator and was done on the original console it is on (This case, the Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Advance, or Player). Also note that you shouldn't get too cocky about thinking you're able to beat it. From what I've seen the person took days maybe even weeks to strategize a working plan, and even then it requires luck through the stats you obtain from the Wild Pokemon.
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: Valcos on July 26, 2008, 03:17:03 pm
Yeh, the fastest i beat it was 5 hours ish... but that wasnt on a speed run. Just a long trip in a car  :haha:. But I guess I'll think of a plan to do it. :ninja:
Title: Re: ...@!?
Post by: GAX on July 26, 2008, 04:42:03 pm
I haven't done a speed run on Pokemon before...sounds like fun, might do it on my Pearl Version though, just gotta send everything to my Diamond.  If I could find that damn silver version, I'd be easy set and if I had a fucking blue still or could find my red, I'd do it right now.

Last games I've speed run through I think were the original Legend of Zelda (37 minutes =3) and Resident Evil Director's Cut (47 minutes abusing the Baretta.  It may be one of the game's weaker weapons, but the combination of its speed and range compared to most guns in the games makes it fairly efficient, and the abundance of ammunition available for it).
Title: Re: ...@!?

I don't like speed runs, I like playing through the game 100% as fast as possible. i.e. I can beat Zelda 3 (all bottles, all 24 heart pieces) and Mario 64 (all 120 stars) in 5 hours each.

But I did play through once Ocarina of Time with only 3 hearts energy. Heck, that was hard against Ganon at the end. He has that attack that takes 4 heart energies. In other words I may be hit as many time as I have fairies in my bottles. >.<  I think I beat him at my first try, though.

Sure thing. Just as Zelda 3 on SNES and Zelda 5 on N64. I think I played Zelda 6 through with 3 hearts as well. O_o
