Title: Enterbrain's Newsletter
Post by: G_G on March 21, 2012, 06:46:50 pm
So I apparently signed up for their newsletter or whatever when I downloaded some trials. Anyways, I got an e-mail linking me to some tutorials or whatever. Just look at the images.

Its now perfectly obvious Enterbrain does know about this place and sparks the theory of "Did Enterbrain push out RMVX Ace due to ARC?". Its hard to say, but its still nice to think about it. On top of the fact that we're apparently the best forum for RPGXP in their eyes. :3 Its pretty awesome.

O_O.  Great, now they have read all my comments bashing them for every little mistake  :^_^':

Still, it's really cool that we have such a great community here, and that other people are taking notice.  <3 you guys.

Holy shit. xD I didn't expect that. I mean I knew that I was more or less known around the communities as a scripter, but this is blowing my mind. xD It's great to see that our whole community is acknowledged like this. :) It's likely that RMVXA was pushed out because of ARC.

Here's an intriguing thought: Is it possible that a current member of the forum is an undercover spy from Enterbrain? :V:

I didn't do it on purpose. Apparently I "signed" up when I entered in my e-mail to download trials.

Yeah, I understand. My question was basically thrown out there as a "Even though Chaos Project is mentioned in the newsletter, who signs up to receive newsletters from Enterbrain in the first place?"

It's obvious what we have to do now. We have to replace the site with a page consisting only of pictures of Blizzard posing naked, with RTP music playing in the background.

This is great! I've seen the console versions of RPG MAKER and the demo on one of them has no save points...

(Are we going to make a demo?) I may have to get ARC for that :P
Cool that we're being recognized for something other than CP o.e

ARC is free software so there is no need for a demo. :)

It works perfectly fine with windows 7.
I use windows 7 64-bit myself.
I am not even using compatibility mode.

I mean as in the "Cannot connect to nTitles server" error, I know how to fix it, its just really annoying...

Its actually part of the registration service that they use, which is actually a separate company. Either way, I know what you mean. They actually already changed that anyway. Newer versions of RMXP (like the "trial" you can download from Enterbrain),  use a different authentication service.

And if you're worried about not being able to obtain it with money, I did make a thread about how to get all of their software for free. Completely legal since their new activation system is all done through the registry.

speaking of that nTitles server thingy, does RMVX Ace do it aswell, if so, is there a way around it, i only connected C.C to the net when i first got her to get RMXP working (i think i did it with VX aswell), i would like to see what changes they made between VX and VX Ace and see what features i would want from that to be put into ARC (there are just some things about VX which suck like how character sprites are back to 3 frames, how tilesets are fixed up ect.)

All of Enterbrain's software has a new registration system. As long as you download the software from http://rpgmakerweb.com you won't run into that error anymore.

hmmmm, that would mean the installers i have for RMXP and RMVX are out of date and i should download the newer ones, mainly because my work is apparently supplying me with a gaming laptop as an incentive for me staying with them (ofcause that won't happen till after my 3 month review and i see wither i come off my 3 month new employee probation or get laid off), that means i may need to get that link your talking about cause i use the search box looking for "free enterbrain" or "free rpg maker" and it keeps returning nothing (god dam i hate that thing, it never works for me) and i can't find the post in your profile
