Is there a specific reason for needing it to be the older version?

EDIT:

Found this at http://www.rpg-palace.com/categories/town/city-gates/rpg-maker-vx-ace-newest-rpg-maker-out-there-yet (http://www.rpg-palace.com/categories/town/city-gates/rpg-maker-vx-ace-newest-rpg-maker-out-there-yet)

(Quote for the lazy)
"Unfortunately, it isn't backwards compatible, as it now utilizes an improved RGSS 3...but they claim it's more flexible and powerful than the previous two RGSS setups...."

Maybe there is a specialized converter floating around somewhere, but my Google Fu is weak.

Please don't double post within a 24 hour period. Thank you! ~ G_G

The reason why i need it converted is because i started my project on
vx ace and theres only vx portable and i need the actual project file open
to show the teacher.

I already spent 5 hours and i don't want to start again.

Sadly a converter doesn't exist from VX Ace to VX. Your best bet is to see if the teacher will install VX Ace on the computer temporarily. Otherwise, google "how to portablize software" and see if you can do it yourself. Now a converter for VX Ace to VX probably won't exist for various reasons. VX Ace has an entirely different new engine. New data structure, new event commands, new way of handling maps and tilesets. It'd be far too much work to try and convert that all to VX without running into complications.
