Title: help with blizz-abs
Post by: flamemaster on June 20, 2012, 08:06:46 pm
Hello my name is flamemaster, ive been trying to work on a game for awhile now, and i have 2 questions for you guys.

should i use the charlie fleed side-view battle system that ive been using, or switch to an abs like the blizzard one, because i think the blizz-abs looks way cooler.
but i have a problem, which leads me to my second question. would anyone be willing to help me by joining my team as a scripter and making a special script that revolves around the abs, we could use this for our games and you could release it to the public if you wish, but here are the special features that it would include, party members that fight at the same time you do, so when theres enemys around they stop following you and start fighting them, also the script would include a way to switch who the main character is, so say your tired of being the swordsman, one button click and you can control the wizard now, or mabye theres a special area where only one player can go, the other players stay behind and the player that goes in you get to control, and even if their on different maps, you can switch between characters, this would be helpful in many ways, including making more complicated puzzles that span different maps, that need something both at the same time.
so if anyone would be willing to help me out by joining my team and creating this, it would be much apreciated.

You can switch the party leader any time. It's just a button press away. I can't remember anymore if you can make party members stay behind, though. Consult Blizz-ABS's manual for more information.

Again, manual (configuration, Animations and Sprite Control, Actor Action Sprites and Actor Weapon sprites).
You should use the configuration application. It makes setting up Blizz-ABS so much easier than having to manually edit the configuration script.

one last question... is blizzabs compatible with ccoa's caterpillar script?

Blizzabs has a built in caterpillar that allows your party members to attack alongside you. No need for ccoa's caterpillar.

I suggest reading through the manual and looking at the configuration app that comes with Blizz-ABS, as Blizzard already stated above...

but can the built in caterpillar do what the ccoa's does? like allow me to move the individual train cahracters without the others following.
