i takes a bit too long for me to set up my laptop during my 30 minute lunch break and i want to use the time i'm not eating to be a bit more constructive by working on my video game design documents, a rule at work is that i can connect memory sticks or harddrives to the computers so staying on my work computer at lunch is kinda a waste
the app would need to be compatible with a blue tooth keyboard....infact saying that might be stupid because it should be by default, and be able to import and export the documents to a computer maybe using an external program since it's kinda pointless to type these up and not be able to back them up on my computer with the rest of my files
it would be a bonus if it can work with .docx files or can convert them to the needed format and maybe reconvert them back since i have a PDF Printer Driver installed into my home computer which outputs .PDF files when i use the print function in word but as along as i can access the documents on the computer aswell it'll be fine
i've tried searching the app store myself but the number of results i get is surprising (or maybe not since a few i went into was just crap), i'm hoping someone here is a iOS or Apple fanatic and uses one

This is a free-ware suite of Microsoft Office like applications. You can of course download only the ones you need. There are also portable versions that will run off of a USB stick, which makes transferring/syncing your work a breeze. It can open/edit all the formats used in Microsoft Office, such as Word docs, Excel, etc. etc.

Open office is another alternative, which is basically the same as LibreOffice, although I cannot say for sure if there is a portable version, I have never looked. I personally prefer LibreOffice between the two.
EDIT:
Apparently there are portable versions of both.

OpenOffice (http://portableapps.com/apps/office/openoffice_portable/)
BTW: PortableApps is an awesome fucking system. I suggest anyone who likes to be mobile and works on different computers to look into.
ahhhhh, i might be an idiot asking this but how exactly do these work with an iPad, from what i'm reading on PortableApps you install it on a memory stick which you can't plug up into an iPad and the System Requirements just say Mac
the problem i have isn't the fact i can't work from a memory stick, alot of these documents are on it and i work on them from it, its just that i can't plug it up to work computers and i don't really have the time to set up my laptop cause the battery's life isn't all that good anymore so i have to plug it up to power all the time, but my ipad i can just flip open and if ever the power starts to drop i can plug it into a portable Lithem Ion Battery i brought at ALDI's a while back (kick ass little thing, too bad it doesn't come with plugs for a DS and a PSP, otherwise it would be perfect)
Oh, Jesus, I completely missed the "iPad" part of what you said, even though its in the name of the topic...

Not sure of the quality of each (No iPad), but they can both handle opening .doc files.
