i got a PSP Slim 2000 on it's way so i can finally play my PSP games on my TV (and beat the crap out of Leo in Fate/Extra before mine and Sabre's love burns Se.Ra.Ph, the Moon Cell and the Holy Grail to ash) by plugging it up to the Component Channel (the 5 cable one, Orange, Green, Blue for video, Red and White for Audio), when i first got the cables i thought they would work in my first gen PSP but the cable was blocked by the fact the port it goes into was around the wrong way.
anyway, it got me thinking, i do plan to get a PSVita cause Shin Megami Tensai Persona is apparently getting a release on it along with Desgaea 3 (and there's Resistance, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear), what i would love to do is play them on the TV as well but does the PSVita have the same port which i could use the cables in
NOTE: for those who may not know what port i'm talking about, its the one the headphones go into, there's a small rectangle port next to it
since I have a PSP phat and slim myself I have wondered this as well, and no the PSP component cable does not work with the vita sadly.
Unfortunately, the component cables were made for the 2000+ models. The models were created to support it by default.
