I am making this topic ahead of time, because I am going to the midnight release for the game tonight, I will post pictures of the game from me playing (phone picture of tv, bound to be awful quality).
I got the Deluxe Vault Hunter Edition, (I'll take a picture of the extras that came with it).
So expect more on this post by tonight, or in the morning some time. :D
the guys at my work have been talking about them picking up their copies, something about them being in chests, they also joked about having a driver with the car running outside the shopping center and after picking up their order, running out of the store carrying these "chests" while wearing balaclava's as if they just robbed some joint lol, i'll wait until it's out for a bit and see if a GotY edition is released like with the first one, saves a hell out off DLC
Pre-ordered it through Steam. I get it really soon.
EDIT: Pre-loading it through Steam right now. ^3^
EDIT 2: Playing it now. Holy shit awesomeness.
Anyone who gets it for Steam, add protoevo on Steam. We'll have to play together sometime.
does it have a better story/quest/replay_value setup than the first game?

Good Game did a review of it last night, the story seems to be much better even though very early on it's revealed your trying to stop Hyprion opening a second Vault (obviously was batting a mental disability when The Lance opened the first one), quests seem to be better as well but you do still have fetch quests, Bajo complained about it cause he and Hex have been playing Guild Wars 2 lastly and there's no quest givers in that, not sure about the replay value unless your talking about starting a new game as a different class in which case seems to be good, you have Zero who is an assassin and this new class which is going to be released as DLC which is supposed to make the game dead easy to play if you play as her
i like what i've seen so far, especially the "Deadliest 13-year old on the planet", and Moxie is wearing purple now instead of red and seems more mellow than she did in the first game and it looks like the Claptraps still have their sarcastic comments "Well done, your ability to walk short distances will surly lead to the downfall of Handsomer Jack"

Finished the main storyline a day or two ago. When I finished the first Borderlands, I really didn't feel like redoing the main quest line again with other characters. In the second one, it was definitely more immersive. There's even a New Game+ feature in there. Once you beat it, you can restart the quest line in "True Vault Hunter Mode" which lets you keep your guns and levels, but starts you at the beginning with increased difficulty. The storyline is definitely something I enjoy playing through a couple of times and especially won't mind doing it again when the new class comes out.
The spoilers below are just easter eggs. They don't actually spoil any of the main storyline.
To make this game even more awesome, there are so many easter eggs and cameo appearances. There's a reference to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There's a quest you can do for Tannis where you deliver pizza to some mutants down in the sewers. Once I got there, I saw the names for the enemies I was fighting when I finally realized it. There names being Lee, Dan, Mick, and Ralph. Once you finish them off, the quest is technically over, but there's more. You can head into a room. Once there, you have to light up these four lights, when done, a mini-boss you could call it comes out named Flinter, hence a reference to Master Splinter.
To name a few, there is also a Minecraft hidden easter egg, a Donkey Kong reference (Donkey Mong is a giant brown colored Mong with a barrel on it's back), and even a Double Rainbow reference. There's a bridge in The Highlands - Hyperion Bridge where it cues music and shows a double rainbow. There are even QR codes in game you can scan with your phone that tell you interesting things. There are some Skags named Pimon and Tumbaa (referencing Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King). That's just scratching the surface. This game definitely has hours of game play. I'm still having fun with it.

first Borderlands had that aswell, maybe not called True Vault Hunter Mode but it did allow you to start at the beginning with all your weapons, cash and levels and all the enemies was at your level so it would be a Lv 50 character VS Lv 1 enemies

That's right, I completely forgot. Regardless, the main storyline in Borderlands wasn't that appealing to me for a second replay, even with New Game + or different characters.
I am a level 50 Commando now, about done with my second play through, I'll post have to post some pictures of it now.
I been meaning to, but never get around to it and for those that have it on xbox send me a friend request(gamertag:Spoofuss), that way I have witnesses to it. :D ( cant play online with people at the moment though, to broke to get gold account for awhile, and I got RE6 last night as well BAHBOOSH, I'm on a role with game here lately.
also found the developer's chest ( i think it is at least) in Tundra express by accident, a varkid knocked me off that side and I thought I was dead, then looked around and saw a loot chest.
also I there is a out of the way chest in the arid nexus which I think might be another developer's chest but I'm not sure, it has a dead claptrap by it.
So I dunno if these are developers loot chest, and I found the Dark Souls easter egg in caustic caverns as well.
This game is really good!
I found a great walkthrough for it the other day, but now I can't find it.
