Ahoy, ye person! I'm making a thread. It's about the PS4. I'm cool. ANYWAYS, let's get on to it!
Specs:So, the specs are -definitely- one thing everyone is dying to know about this console, right? Well, of course! They give you a wonderful idea of how it will perform, and of the graphical fidelity its games are able to achieve, so it's a good thing Sony revealed its specs today (still the 20th for me, hurr) so we can know this juicy bit of info:
Main Processor:- Single-chip custom processor
- CPU: x86-64 AMD "Jaguar", 8 cores
- GPU: 1.84 TFLOPS, AMD next-generation Radeonâ„¢ based graphics engine
Memory:
- GDDR5 8GB
Hard Disk Drive:
- Built-in
Optical Drive (read only):

Well, there's that. The specs, which are, mind you, "subject to change without notice". Hopefully we don't lose that delicious 8GB of GDDR5 RAM.

Games:
Ah, yes, can't have an announcement without at least some games, you know. Let's see some of the announcements so far!
*God, I am so lazy right now and will totally update this thread with more information later.*
Wow, those specs look even better than the specs of the leaked dev consoles. O_o
pretty solid, I wonder what the price will be. Not that I'm in the console market any longer, but I wonder how long it can survive with the current $300-$400 console and $60 game model. With games getting more expensive to develop and PC making a comeback and iOS/Mobile/Nintendo fighting over the casuals and the customer base no longer expanding as quickly as it used to, I am interested to see if there will be any pricing changes this generation.
I heard some rumors that they wanted to make it $200, but nothing confirmed.
Oh great, now on top of having to get a ps3 for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix, I will now have to get a PS4 for the long awaited Kingdom Hearts 3. Unless Sony is nice and includes "backwards compatibility" like with ps2. God, this addiction to kingdom hearts is deadly.
