Title: Some Photoshop boredom...
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 17, 2008, 07:01:33 pm
EDIT: Do not steal these images. Stealing includes hotlinking them or claiming them as your own. If I find out, and I will (Resourceful-ness), I will give you the horrid death similar to Ulta's deaths in Zira Town Assassin.

As you fellows noticed, I created a new avatar. It was a quick concoction of Ulquiorra Schiffer from Bleach. It probably isn't the best avatar, but that isn't really the point at all. Here's my old one...Good ol' Tobi or Uchiha Madara. If you got spoiled by what I said, then you must be really behind in Naruto...

Here's some other ones I've noticed lying around. I use these as my AIM icons, since I usually make one every month. Didn't do so this month though...'Guess Black Shadow's a lucky man.

And here's the main reason why I use Photoshop...to create backgrounds for the songs I've made in StepMania. I created over...145 stepfiles, ranging from the easy to the difficult, and I might as well show some recent creations. Here's ten backgrounds from various songs.
AKUMAJO DRACULA MEDLEY: ShowHide

Rage of the Winter: ShowHide

THE TERROR OF DEATH: ShowHide

I know I used a lot of items from Google Images and brushes from Photoshop, so I credit to all of the authors. I don't know who specifically they are, and the list would be too long. One side-note though...All of these creations were over a long period of time, probably a year. So I would assume some would be better than others... :faceless:

Enjoy these...and if you're criticizing them, do it nicely and in a positive way.  :)

EDIT: Do not steal these images. Stealing includes hotlinking them or claiming them as your own. If I find out, and I will (Resourceful-ness), I will give you the horrid death similar to Ulta's deaths in Zira Town Assassin.

What do you mean by Skeith very much? The only thing I heard of that name is...excuse me of my nerdiness but Sheik from Zelda...Mind if you elaborate?

And thank you. :)

I did have the opening video of .hack's Haseo pwnage as the background video for THE TERROR OF DEATH. The banner shows Haseo...I'll let you see:

The song THE TERROR OF DEATH was based off .hack and is a song by DJ Sharpnel, who uses some of those items as samples for his song. It's pretty awesome.

When i do my random photoshop i always photoshop something really random or stupid.... like a picture of myself  :negative:.

(And yes i only used one smily! It hurt me but i did it!)

These aren't necessarily random, but the way they were executed (Or showed) made it seem to be random. Trust me, if you understand the song, you'll understand why I used the background. I'm not going to elaborate though...that would feel a little conceited...I suppose.

mayhaps you can post a tut or two on how you did soem of these. I'm sure everyone would love to know and would benefit.

I would, but there's little technique on any of these. All of this required a lot of filtering, brushes, Blend Effects, and Layer Options. Some Image settings were used, but they're just colorings. I suppose I can always do so if I wanted to. xD

Yo Kirby... i accidently stole all you pictures , and posted them on many sites and forums saying that they are mine  :harr:

Sorry Valcos, I know you're kidding. This is a very serious line of tread to walk too, especially on a subject like Stepmania. Art Thieves are everywhere, and I know that. Making a joke like this can be a bit personal, yet not so personal. Besides, you would be more scared or nervous when you accidentally stole something.

:scared: Im not scared!..... :bag: I would never hide, or lurk in the shadows  :ninja:. What if i just recreate the picture exactly by accident? :xD: would that be stealing? :hm:

I'll quote from the Dragonfly's Cave:
Quote"It's just a coincidence!"

This happens especially often with splices and revamps; they just say "Who is to say I didn't just happen to make it just like you did?" For more complicated splices or revamps where you have made scratch edits to the shading, it should be possible to convince some higher authority (such as the web host or a moderator) that it can't just be a coincidence and force the thief to admit the theft.

Nonetheless, if the sprite really is simple enough to have possibly been made by somebody else, you honestly can't prove it as yours - and in fact, it might not be yours at all.

I can still prove I made it before you. The upload date for the aforementioned images will be before yours. If you hotlink, the Photobucket album is mine. :)

:xD: But what if i dont post it? and print it out on my paper and send it to the newspapers!  8-O Then you got no proof!
Title: Re: Some Photoshop boredom...
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 19, 2008, 02:45:00 am
Still do! Online proof! The clock for Photobucket will be earlier than the printing date for the newspaper. I also uploaded specific banners for these songs, which are of a previous date than whatever so. You can always try and be crafty, but that's too much work for something you can either make better of. :/

EDIT: By the way, if you just have them stored around, then it's okay, as you are doing nothing constructive or stupid with them. :/

Post by: Valcos on July 19, 2008, 02:49:00 am
Actually!  8-O! I didnt have to give them the pictures the day I had them to the newspaper so it doesnt matte when the newspapers are printed ! Plus if i secret steal your pictures then do funny reedited of them!! Hahahaha you'll never know!
Title: Re: Some Photoshop boredom...
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 19, 2008, 02:53:05 am
I can simply copy my original picture, slap it on Paint, copy your secret picture, slap it on Paint, and then Undo/Redo to find a change. A mere pixel can make a giant flash when done fast enough. You do not need to re-edit these. You can't re-edit these. The text easily prevents any good use of the image. And there are better fish in the water. Besides, if you re-edit them to the point the images aren't the same, then there is no point.

I can always ask what date the Newspaper company obtained the pictures and best them with what date I created and uploaded the pictures. Newspapers generally leave contact information and are very friendly and cordial about it.

I said i didnt give the picture to the newspaper the same day i made the pictures so  :xP: The day i handed them in isnt the same day i made them hahahah!  :w00t:! Plus i would make minor edits like beards and unibrows!  :wong:

...Then there's no point. Whatever date you sent in the creation is always going to be later than the day I created mine. And if you claim for having them for years, there are very easy ways to tell that you don't. The song may not even exist for that long. And the only song you can have beards and unibrows in would be TEE DERM, and that would be it (There's AKUMAJO DRACULA MEDLEY, but those guys already have beards)...besides, for that you would still need to credit. If we were to have some Photoshop competition to see who made these, it would be me as the victor because this is my specific style of Photoshopping.

Surrender equals a loss. If I'm really not understanding, tell it to me in a clear manner. I know you're sarcastic about this anyway, and at least it turned into a good faithful debate...With a childish end, I suppose, but other than that, a debate with good faith. Better than a flame war at the least.

You always need to defend for what is what you think is right. And therefore, you should really say your point...Unless you don't care and you're just amused how seriously I'm taking the whole subject in the first place.  :P

Shouldn't you credit the makers of the images that you used to make your images?
Title: Re: Some Photoshop boredom...
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 19, 2008, 12:09:01 pm
I would if I can remember all of the author names. The repertoire of brushes I used weren't downloaded by me and a lot do not have the artist's name with the brush. The images from Google I would have to find again to obtain the correct author, and I completely forgot what keywords I used to search for.

So in the worst case scenario, I had to use this. Quoth my first post:
QuoteI know I used a lot of items from Google Images and brushes from Photoshop, so I credit to all of the authors. I don't know who specifically they are, and the list would be too long. One side-note though...All of these creations were over a long period of time, probably a year. So I would assume some would be better than others... :faceless:

It's unfortunate really, but that's the least I can do. *sigh*

Isnt it ok as long as you say that "this is not my work" or something like that? Or do you have to actually credit them to count>?
Title: Re: Some Photoshop boredom...
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 19, 2008, 10:39:35 pm
You still made it, so you can't really say it's not your work. If you say that, then your efforts are wasted in a way. You have to credit to count, yes.

Lol... i meant when i said something like that as in i didnt know how to say it :P hoping you would.... like you credit someone for the picture you used in your picture?
Title: Re: Some Photoshop boredom...
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on July 19, 2008, 10:53:20 pm
Putting special thanks and etc. within a picture detracts the overall quality of it, so I had to not credit unfortunately. I repent back and credit them here at the least. I never claim the images I used were my own anyway, so I suppose that's a good thing since I'm not being a big thief that way. :\
