Hello all. I've been messing around with this script for a few weeks now, and while I've got to know the basics, there are a couple of things still bothering me. One of which needs a pretty urgent fix.
Basically, everything's good when I have only one battler in the party. But as soon as I add multiple characters it all goes a bit mental. Their entire spritesheet is shown as their battle sprite, and when I input a command it shows the wrong set of animations (ie: "block" for attacking). I have absolutely no idea what's going on. Anyone know what my problem could be?
Also, I read in the instructions that there are new features added to the original script, such as "dying" and "attack preparation" animations. However, I can't figure out how to get them to work. Am I supposed to increase the number of animations on my spritesheet or something?
Nobody? If I can't get the first problem sorted then I'm in a bit of bother. :/
Thing is, I have no idea how it works and there are so many versions and edits, I can never be sure what you're using. Try getting the script again and check things out. If the same problem persists, post/PM me the Scripts.rxdata and I'll do what I can.
Well I've isolated the problem and found a way around it, but that's not to say it's fixed. Basically, the error only occurs with the second character in the database, so all I have to do is bypass that slot when creating the characters.
I've also figured out how to use the extra animations, so it's all good.
If that is the cause, then your configuration of a script might not be right.
I believe I am using that script... or a modified version... either way if you have a line like this
change it to this
(Remove the number from the brackets)
Post the results please.
I have been experiencing the exact same problem for decades now!!
I believe I found the solution and it appears to be quite simple...
"I" removed EVERY hash and EVERY flat value from the extra added features except the ones I actually use. You just leaves the brackets from the hash values empty and set the flat values to nil...
Now I will re-enter hashes and flat values as I see fit to match my model...
Do you know what's strange about this one request here? When I have only 1 character, the movement is a bit off, you can clearly see how the animations are made, you see 1-2-3-4 frames.(bad) However, when I have 2+ characters in a fight, the frames are so much smoother and more realistic and just plain better... Strange, huh?
I don't know, Lol...That is odd...
So what battlers is everyone using for this??
dollmage. I'm pretty sure he quit everything though. I could be wrong, I haven't check the stencyl aurora dreams page in a while.
IDK...
This is the only real forum that I check anymore...
But that's cool.
