Title: Button Input Processing Causes Game To Freeze When Using Blizzard's Input Module
Post by: KRoP on October 12, 2008, 05:18:58 pm
I had first inserted Blizzard's Custom Input Module to get Berans' piano script to work properly.  After going through and having to delete some little eye candy scripts (such as a window that pops up whenever you gain an item) the game could actually appear without crashing immediately.  However, a button mashing minigame involving button input processing, which had previously worked fine, now freezes.
Now, I could get into the long list of scripts I have installed, but first I'd like to know:  Does the input module use anything to replace Button Input Proccessing?  If it helps, the Custom Input Module is inside Blizz's Tons-of-Addons v 6.56b.
If you know what I'm doing wrong, or if I'm not explaining well enough, please say so!  :.)

That's weird... I can't exactly remember, but the Input module should support the original buttons or I think that I added an option for that like in Blizz-ABS at least. Have you tried replacing the conditions with scripted input control conditions? Try making a copy of your minigame and substituting those conditions and see how it works. If it works fine, I might need to update the input module... >.<

Will do!  But, uh, could you tell me what the scripted version for button input processing is first? :^_^':

In the conditional branch window click on the 4th tab and use the option at the bottom. There you can use script conditions. Just input the text.
