Chaos Project

Hey everyone, I need a staff sprite and a Gun sprite similar to this ((Created by Blizzard)) (http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii184/joshblake14/lag_a_lot_atk0_Hellbound.png)

It needs to be similar or close to the ones in this picture.

The staff needs to be set like a striking weapon.  I plan the staff to be the characters melee wep, while the gun be her ranged.

do you have a sprite for the character to use? (So someone could use the sprite as a base for how the weapons need to be positioned and turned...)

lol.  Don't worry bro, I never use someone's stuff without giving them credit.  I've already typed your name in my notepad with list of all my sources.  I gotta credit you for the ABS & the character above and also WcW for his Advanced Time script. 

Plus, doesn't a game's credits look MUCH better when you have people to give credits to? lol...what's the fun in naming yourself 20 times XD

Actually ATES is by me as well. I only gave the last version to WcW so he can continue working on it. But sine my version 0.3 he hasn't published any new version. -_-

And I agree, I pretty much hate that my name appears so often in my own credits. xD

lol....Ok, then should i credit the ADV time script to you? Or both of you?

Just me if you are using v0.3 or lower. I don't think WcW alreayd released a higher version so far, though. o.o

OK If someone can make me an ABS sprite for attack using this weapon ((just extend the shaft))


added with the above sprite of the blonde girl, then i'll be happy enough with that.

Will the character itself be animated during the attacks? If so, could you post that as well? No one can make an attack animation for the character unless they know what the character will be doing during the attack.

EXAMPLE: A sword follows the wielder's hand, if the character has no attack animation, the sword will look like it's swinging all by itself....

Basically i just need a weapon sprite made up similar to the sword pic i posted.

So you just want the spear to stab straight forward(in the direction the player is facing obviously)

And shooting a gun?

I just wanted to know if you were using the same walking sprites and not some custom animated character sprites...

I'll try my hand at these as soon as I'm sure you want the types of attacks I mentioned.

actually i was thinking sort of a slash similar to the sword, but the idea of a stab sounds interesting too.  So whichever you make I'll more than likely go with ^^

A slash would look better. I just wasn't sure... I thought you had said something about a stab or thrust, but for the size of these sprites a slash would look better.

I'm not done with either weapon yet, so don't misunderstand.

Ok, I made a new animation for the character and a gun that fits that animation. One thing to note is that I named it according to BlizzABS standard... I named it for attack style 1, if you want the gun to be attack type 2, change the atk1 and atk1_gun to atk2 and atk2_gun...

Also you should rename the "gun" part to whatever the icon filename is for that weapon according to the item database... (I hope I'm not too confusing...)

I haven't done the spear yet... I'll probably get to it tomorrow if I can get myself to do it...

You may need to reposition the animations slightly, I didn't check if they were perfectly lined up...

Then i think that this site is lucky to have someone like you here, you, aqua, and Blizzard, cause I agree...I've asked on other forums for certain things to use in past projects and they straight up ignored me.....I didn't really expect to get a response to this request seeing how i didn't know the community that well to know how you guys are..

But again, thank you.  The animations were very good too.  They fitted exactly and i didn't need to do anything with them to make them align.

I myself am constantly surprised with the generous amounts of help the members of CP can offer.

I'm especially glad to hear that the animations worked well. I didn't test them myself so I wasn't sure how they would look.

Be sure to get some awesome screenshots later when you have something to show.

OMG! FINALLY a somewhat better looking sprite than the usual sprites in Blizz-ABS. :D

Well, it isn't really important I suppose so long as they suit what Vein needed them for...

I'm basically refering to the spritese created by me.
