Really, I'm a fan now! Keep up the amazing work O.O

I'm glad you both like them.

I designed the future lab to be compatible almost completely with the 'Passage' setup for Evil Castle. so copying that and changing the image should work... I'm still working on the Lab though, so it'll have more later.

the tileset is still unfinished... but I'll give you what I have.

I think it uploaded correctly this time...
Lab A: ShowHide
(http://s86.photobucket.com/albums/k99/eremes/042-EvilLab02-1.png)

Lab B(shadows): ShowHide
(http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k99/eremes/042-EvilLab02_shadow.png)

The shadow version is for the catwalk, so you can see the room below, but not be distracted by it.
Also the transparent catwalk is for the normal Lab set, so you have the option to see that it is there, without it interrupting the room.

Since you've added more, I'll just add a spice of criticism. ^_^

@Tohno Shiki (without the glasses): I just think that the eyes need to be toned down a bit, they're too bright.

@Nrvnqsr Chaos: More contrast on the coat, a bit saturated.

@Alucard: I just think you have too much contrast on the coat, the dark outline is visible through the red.

The face of the second Alucard looks too nice. o.o Also, where are his yellow/orange glasses?
Title: Re: Satoh's Resources
Post by: Satoh on November 11, 2008, 10:58:14 am
the second Alucard was simply there before when I made the hat...

For Shiki, Nrvnqsr, et al, I've been using their exact palettes from Melty Blood... Shiki's eyes really are that bright... Nrvnqsr may need some adjustment later though...

EDIT: Added Kohaku with and without Apron.

EDIT2: Added 4 window skins, and Nanaya Shiki.

Windowskins... just wow :o *powers up*

I'm assuming these terms of use:
Free to use in non-commercial games, provided credit is given. Modifications can be done, if credit is given.

I'll be using those skins :)

Nah, posting something that's on this very site is well tolerated and accepted. You're cool. :P And the benefits of that script anyway would neutralize all bad stuff about you posting it up here.

Satoh, best things ever. Well, you know what I mean, but those are really good WindowSkins. I'm impressed!

I was counting on that really. If I hadn't stumbled across the ability to tile windows, I'd feel very limited in the types of skins I can make...

EDIT: Oops, I just noticed some skins didn't have battle cursors, I'll fix that very soon.

EDIT2: I believe they are all up to date and fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

EDIT3: I messed with Kohaku's hair a bit... it maid her head look fat before... I thinned it out a bit.

EDIT4: Added Tohno Akiha.

your sprites are really good especially your abs sprites!
can i use them in a game i am making?
the name of the game is Rising Legend!
Title: Re: Satoh's Resources
Post by: Satoh on November 13, 2008, 07:59:52 pm
There wouldn't be much point in a resource list if they weren't open for use...

Just give me a mention in the credits. Also Blizzard if you're using Gunner or Spearman character sprites, as Blizzard did the originals and I made the battle animations for them. Everything else I made alone... (I think, I gave credit where it was due...)

But yeah, my resources are free to use with proper credit.

EDIT: Added Akiha's School Uniform sprite.

EDIT2: Added Ciel's and Yumizuka's School Uniform.

Those sprites were made for Blizz-ABS, I'm not sure if they can work just like that in XAS.

Ah, using the Half Kaizer template. Personally, I would suggest using ShowKaizer's palettes found in the HKCP (check .org).

PS: Those RTP templates are by Mack.

I will likely not end up using that Linc... instead I'll be using the 8bit Linc I uploaded... as well as Sara 8bit... Sara is based on Saria... as Linc is Link... makes sense right?

What I mean by that is that your resources are so intolerable that they're hideous! :V:

Of course, what I really meant there, as a joke of course, was that there were so many resources here that are pretty good that the regular resource board can't handle it! So I decided to move it here. (Obviously that's not the real reason, but you know what I mean {No you don't huh?} so no worries) :P
Title: Re: Satoh's Resources(11-26-08)

Well... I didn't see any sarcasmic symbols in there... so I couldn't be sure... I figured it was sarcasm... (hence my 'XD' and semilight tone in asking...)

Either way, I'm glad to see that my topic has... evolved, so to speak.

@UPDATE: Soon I may be starting a BlizzABS RTP spriteset with the help of Chaze007, IF I do, Those will be posted here and likely in Chaze's topic of choice as well... (Yay, I'm building a portfolio worth looking at finally XD; )

@CAUTION: Do not expect it to be a fast process... there are literally hundreds of sprites to be made for a full B-ABS RTP set...

It isn't just attacks, there's running, jumping, skills, sneaking, etc that also need to be made for a FULL conversion(is that word applicable here...?)...

I hope that eventually I will have hundreds of resources for you all to use... (and maybe a little fame for myself in the process XD; )

Ok. I hope the variable animation speed won't be too complicated to add. Basically it's very simply, but I have the feeling that something is lurking and waiting to attack me. D:

Since I will not work today anymore on Blizz-ABS, don't expect it tomorrow. Hopefully I can put it together until the end of the week.

Yah, preferably. It'd slow me down if I had to make new attack sprites mid-contest. Don't worry, you're the scripting god, you can do it!!!
Title: Re: Satoh's Resources(11-26-08)
Post by: Blizzard on December 04, 2008, 03:28:46 pm
Of course I can. It's a minor edit including a change so that the weapon sprite isn't applied on the actual sprite but a new sprite is created. Five me a few hours and I will not just do that but also make a very stable version and test it properly. By my estimation, it should take 2, maybe 3 hours to implement that and the different animation speeds (for each frame, individually, horray!) AND update all the documentation plus adding it to the config properly if I don't slack off like I tend to.
Title: Re: Satoh's Resources(11-26-08)
Post by: legacyblade on December 04, 2008, 03:31:24 pm
Well I hope you don't slack off then. That's the main thing keeping bABS from meeting XAS in graphics.

I have a feeling he posted them moreso in the hope that people would find them useful rather than he improve. Satoh has enough skill that he recognizes himself what he must improve.

@Dio: Just because someone is skillful, does not mean that they cannot get the criticism of others. As well as getting opinions from people who actually sprite, they help improve the spriter from their own experience. In this way, they guide the spriter to make himself better in a faster rate. Nobody is too good for criticism.

I do recognize a lot of things that I can improve upon on my own, but criticism can't ever become obsolete either.

A lot of times I have to ask someone else what's wrong when everything in my picture looks fine by itself but the image as a whole looks strange to me...

It isn't an everyday occurrence but it does happen.

@Taharo... I'm not sure what you're wanting... could you be a little more specific? (note that I'm in a bit of a slump and I don't post anything I'm not satisfied with, so I may not be able to do it right now.)

Brandon Random Guy O.o? You mean the spiky haired dude? I... could... but I'd rather do that when I have enough characters for a full 'Down' sheet... and since Tsukihime characters are kinda their own continuum... (I just don't like putting random characters on the same sheet together....)

As for speaking poses... I cant do Alucard... the random guy I might try, you prefer more stylized or more realistic...? (note: it'll be anime styled either way, but it could be 'cuter' or more defined...)

Very nice job there. I like the futuristic map tiles, they are quite well done. I'm in need of some modern/future tiles right now so I'll be using them. Thank you!

I can't draw Alucard worth a shit basically... Alright... I'll try to do some faces for the random guy...

And Dark Gaia, welcome to the Chaos Project, but could you shrink your signature a bit, it's a little tall.

Nice resources satoh. Very nice..hmm....too nice maybe. maybe even too n ice to be yours. At last it all makes sense. Satoh stole the resources and took them for his own! You're caught now!

Satoh: I would've gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids!

Ha ha ha just kidding satoh. Those are really nice though. I like the notebook windowskin. Can't wait for my computer to get out so I can use some of these.
