(http://www.pkmnneon.com/pika1.png)About the Game (http://www.pkmnneon.com/pika.png)

This is the re-development of Pokemon Neon. This is a Pokemon Game using the Pokemon Essentials starter kit. Along with this, it will feature RMX-OS (RPG Maker Xp Online System)

(http://www.pkmnneon.com/pika1.png)Features (http://www.pkmnneon.com/pika.png)

  • Fully Functional Pokemon System (Battles/Evolutions/Pokedex/and more)

  • Fully Functional Online System (Chatting/Battling/Trading/and more!)

  • MySql Saving (Saves to the server, not client, so data is secure.. and everywhere you go!)

  • Need I say more? (I will update this list as I think of more exact features

(http://www.pkmnneon.com/pika1.png)General Info (http://www.pkmnneon.com/pika.png)

In the finished version, the game will require alot of travel between 2 or more seperate regions (2 or more generations of pokemon) to follow along the story, with more pokemon to capture and such, it also provides a better game play experience and more game time.  You a pokemon trainer will be able to capture over 300 pokemon (most likely more (as in all 493)) while playing with friends.

Just so you know, Beta version means you can get from the beginning of the game to the end of the game. Everything else is a demo.

@ gameguy The other version was still pretty buggy, plus it would have required alot more programming for EACH of the attacks... (alot of em)...
Also, Blizz fount the starter kit, and at the same time he was starting rmx-os so he said he would merge them for neon basically...
So I took down old neon, and now, I am working on the return of Neon.

@ Blizz - Thanks for the tip  ;)

Yes, but Route 8 lead to the Ruins (I think) [You're talking about the route south of Violet City, right? O.o], which is a completely different thing, and the Ice Cave actually had a name (That is, if you're referring to Ice Path, the area between Mahogany and Blackthorn). The routes were either separate or the same, I forget. But the point is that there is no route that's solely a cave. The cave has a different name in itself.

You have a small error when choosing your first Pokemon, if you pick Cyndaquil, it says "You pick the grass pokemon Cyndaquil" That should be fire, right?

I was fighting the leader's first pokemon and got it down to around half HP, then it killed me and when I appeared back at the pokecenter place a message said I got the badge. Checked my status and it's there 0_o

So I got the badge for losing...?
It was the one in Chrome City

And will we be able to go back and fourth between the two regions
Title: Re: Pokemon Neon Online

Oooh you know what you should do? You should make your own legendaries!!! I can help I'm really good with making pokemon sprites! You should also make a evil scientists fusion lair or something like that where you fuse pokemon together!! THAT WPOULD BE AWESOME LOL

@Game_guy again: There will be yes, but not yet. Also, you can already go back and fourth between regions using the ship.
@C.C. r0yAl: Nah, we are using the pokemon already made  :^_^':

(http://www.pkmnneon.com/neonlogo.png) New Updater!

Ok, here is my latest update for Pokemon Neon, a new updater!

From this time forward this new updater will take care of the load, it is more compatible with newer operating systems such as Vista and Windows 7 and no longer requires for you to run it in compatibility mode.

For some that are asking, Why do we need a new updater?   There are several reasons,
1. When I made our current updater, I didn't have a vista or windows 7 computer to test on, with that it left these new operating systems not working at all or hard to get working. Even so, with Vista compared to Xp, the code was able to run in XP 10 times quicker due to an error with the progress bar.

2. This will make updates quicker, unlike the old updater which re-downloaded the WHOLE game every update, this updater is able to pick parts in which need to be updated and only update those parts, compared to the old updater that downladed the whole game which was 45mb, on average this new one will only have to download about 5.
This idea was proposed by Ryex, so credit goes to him.

3. This removes the need for using the updater by-pass method and is, above all, just better and it is time for a change.

Here are some screenshots of the new updater...

Pokemon Neon Download:
     Windows XP and Vista: www.pkmnneon.com/Pokemon%20Neon%20Installer%20XpVista.exe
     Windows 7: www.pkmnneon.com/Pokemon%20Neon%20Installer%20Win7.exe

* NOTE FROM RYEX
Please be sure that you uninstall PNO before using the above installer
to uninstall use the uninstall file located in the install folder or use in programs and features option from the control panel in windows xp and above

Using that will fix your problems... I had thought I had posted this update here XD.

This game should work with all windows operating systems, I will fix the link on the main site  ;)

Also, for the past like 4 days I have been working on a program and I am finally ready to release it...
What this does is allows you to have a trainer card for your signature with updated stats on your sprite, badges, and pokemon.

Here is an example of mine...
(http://www.pkmnneon.com/trainercard.php?id=jcsnider) (http://www.pkmnneon.com)

To get your own trainer card signature just use this code in your sig.
[url=www.pkmnneon.com][img]www.pkmnneon.com/trainercard.php?id=XXXXXXXX[/img][/url]

Where you replace the Xs with your username. For example the code for mine is
[url=www.pkmnneon.com][img]www.pkmnneon.com/trainercard.php?id=jcsnider[/img][/url]

Extra thanks goes to
Blizzard - Helped me decode the gender and level info for each poke.
Game_Guy - Support on image format and indirect ideas.
and Ryex - For support and ideas

*Please Note that the card is generated after you disconnect. If your card isn't appearing try logging into and the out of the game.

What you have right now is that you use a .php file for the image tags.
This works fine on CP, but not all sites allow a .php file image.

To fix this, you can use some rewrite rules.

In your .htaccess file, add
RewriteEngine On

RewriteRule trainercard.png trainer.php

And that's it.
Now you can do www.pkmnneon.com/trainercard.png?id=jcsnider

And I'll try this game out when I have time XP

Edit:
Might I suggest to make the title screen a higher quality image... in .png format?
The jpeg'd image is a turn off D:

Edit edit:
I /have/ to run the updater in admin mode because access to title.jpg is denied otherwise.
I installed it in program files...
Just letting you know of this.

Auctually I have that error fixed.
I need to re-make the installer with the new updater but I have asked Ryex to hold onto the installation file (He created newest install). So the second I get that from him I will send out a new version of the updater  ;)

My thoughts exactly. I second the motion. Only if it's not too much extra work for you, of course.

Sorry it took so long, but anyone with the illegal path error, I have updated the installer (same link)
www.pkmnneon.com/pnosetup.exe

This will fix your error.

If you do not have this error, do not worry about this new installer, you are fine.

Well the reason is because my account didn't save fully because apparently you have to go through the intro all the way and I closed out before it finished. So I just created a new account, it's all good now (:

I just started up and upon leaving Dogwood's Lab in Zion's starting area, it took forever to load and then eventually i got an error message saying "Script is Hanging". I meant to screenshot it but I guess it didnt get copied. That was the entire message, though.

Start encrypting your game.  If you are already encrypting, find a different method (talk to Blizz).
