I'd say a microphone and Audacity.

...oh
That's what I was thinking. The michrophone part. Is audacity the editor or something...

Audacity is one of many music editors you can use. What makes Audacity special is that it has a wide assortment of features and is perfect for recording. You can also export your items as .mp3 or Ogg Vorbis.

If you don't have Audacity, you can still record with a microphone using the default Microsoft application Sound Recorder. It should be somewhere in Accessories and/or Entertainment, depending on your Operating System. :P

Suggestion to MetaKnight: If you can make a deep, menacing voice, do it. If you can't, do it anyway and use Audacity to alter it. It's how some people do voices in shows...usually online ones of course...

Very interesting...
Does anybody have a quick quote on how much a michrophone would cost?

Depends on what kind of microphone you want. It's almost like purchasing headphones, except mikes are way more complex. There's USB or regular Microphone jacks, for example...They can range from below $10 to around or more $20. Just do a little look-around I guess for microphones...:/

Then again, I don't know many of this because the microphones I get aren't stand alone. The one I use right now is connected with a headphone (Making this look pretty sweet), while the other one is from Hey You! Pikachu. :P

I think even some webcams have microphones built into them. But I don't remember for sure and I can't find the one I had.

Sorry man.

To make a long story short, this can be easily done by yourself by locking yourself up in a room and saying "Dead March.... Quarantine" in a deep and non-corny, scary, voice. If you can't produce such low pitches, which you probably can knowing you (No, just assuming), you can get an audio editor to edit your sound clip.

But see if you can get someone to do it, if you really, really want to...:/

There is another way that I can think of, but you may have to work with it.

Download "FL Studio" and then use the voice input to make the robotic voice say what you want.  Then right click on the channel it creates and open the Piano Roll.  Move the bars that indicate the pitch or the note of the sound closer to the bottom until you get the dark sound you're looking for.  It may sound a little inhuman, but if you're not going to do the recording, then I don't know how else you're going to achieve the sound.

If I had a mic I could do some pretty dark sounds for you, but mine broke on me XD

Yeah, the Vocoder of FL Studio is incredibly powerful. You should hear how I altered my voice to a female voice in my songs. o.o

6 years of experience do that to you. xD My earlier songs weren't anything special either. You should try the FL demos. They are quite good, you can learn a lot how to use the filters and effects. The FX panel goes without saying in my songs. I usually have at least 10 channels filled. Some songs have even more than 20, lol!

You can download my newest "album" The Storm is coming (http://downloads.chaos-project.com/blizzmusic/The%20Storm%20is%20coming) if you want. I still haven't come around to finish the cover. xD I basically need a printer for a couple of test prints, but I'm out of money to buy a new printer, lol!

I have a feeling this topic has lost its point...I mean, what happened to the Taharo thing? o_o

It switched from Dead March: Quarantine to Inexpensive Microphones to Blizzard's album advertising...Gee...

QuoteWow what can't the almight blizz do?

Eat my poo. :V:

He actually can't because he dont know where you live! But he could eat any other poo.

Also he can't pull Blizz ABS 3.0 out of his butt!

Unless he printed it after he made it and shoved it up it and then pulled it out!

Geez I need someone like you to teach me lol.  You can do two things that I'm desperate to learn, Scripting and techno.
