well i'm back and not really ready to take on the world right now, i need to finish up about 19 projects so i am busy up to my neck!
anyway i will try to log on now and then.
Lol Maybe it would be good to not have so many projects...
In any case, nice job on coming back I suppose
lol they are for school, i have been delaying them for a while now.
I see. School's important, I do suppose XD
hmm, i taught you guys would be all over me with your pitch forks or whatever by now.
No, more like we're really hysterical at what you've been doing. It's so...funny...The contest passed and NAMKCOR and Zylos won, as expected. Only two competitors really submitted game content and that was the Foxfire team and Landith.
Well, see if you can dig yourself out, have fun, troll around if you must, but be prepared for the consequences.
Well, welcome back, I suppose. Did you want us to get our pitchforks? We may even form an angry mob and run you out of CP. Nah, we love you xD And hey, I might take your side on XAS as soon as I have free time and can experiment around with it so I'd have valid points for a decent arguement >:3 Most likely not though. Time isn't something I like to spend doing stuff like that O.o
its cool, i am soooo over xas abs now.
i finally saw a side view battle system that is amazing!
i think i will start a new campaign after my exams and so on.
i wonder why you guys don't join me in my game dev endeavors and make some cash.
also i lo...lo....HATE you all... Mwhahahahaha!!!!!
i will never change my ways!
just kidding...
lol, well I do have to thank you for starting the whole Xas is better than Blizz-Abs. Without that the contest might never have started :^_^':
But welcome back, hope you don't get too clobbered.. :)
thanks! however i was clobbered by winkio and soon i will be torn apart by blizzard and kept in his freezer for dinner later on.
Eh, laughed at and advised is more like it, but take it whichever way makes you feel better about yourself.
A note on your battle system: What you should really do is make/find scripts for your game, not make a game for scripts that your find.
Go wild and do whatever! The main thing to keep in mind is that here at CP, game dev is fun!
its only fun when you are making free games.
also i finally got a decent scripter and he is working on the battle system and other stuff.
in a commercial game dev team you have to watch everyone's work so you dont look bad and unskilled.
even though it dont matters to me because i just dont care (mainly because i am leading the ship).
but at the end of the game, the joy starts and you feel really good! then you sleep for a whole month if you can.

Tell that to Blizz. He works for a commercial game development company and I am pretty sure he has lots of fun.
You just can't help having fun when doing work that you love and put your heart into. :)
Very well put winkio
ok ok i made an error, what i meant was that you don't have a lot of fun as you might think.
its not just fun and games when you have thousand line of code to deal with and 3d models but overall it is fun.

Even though you were being a dick, you drove me to finish Blizz-ABS v2.0, improve it all the way up to v2.2x and organize the ABS contest way earlier than I originally planned. :P

Yeah, it's totally fun. :) I already have over 80kB of Source code. :D It's hard to tell how many lines of code since I have it equally distributed in over 30 files.

Nah. Even 10000 lines of code are nothing. I definitely don't have less fun working on the commercial 3D game than on my free 2D game. :)
hey! you can't pick two options!
its fun or not fun!
