Title: Spore
Post by: fugibo on January 26, 2009, 05:50:15 pm
I still haven't gone past Creature stage... I'm a lazy poser, kill me...

But creature stage is EPIC!!!! I specially designed my creature to kill an Epic Lizzie, and I only got like 1/10 of the way before it ate me (and my 3 companions)

You should try ninja strategies, such as getting the Sneak ability and then whomping at it, then run away with Sprint or another Sneak ability and keep doing that...Or just befriend Rogues and beat the snot out of that thing. Really helps if all the Rogues you create are killing machines specifically designed to kill the Epic...(That is, if you're using My Creations or some other theme as a theme)...

Love this game. :3 Too bad I have other things to do, but it's always there waiting for me. :)

Lol! I played Spore a couple of months ago. It's a nice game, but once you played Space Stage for 10 hours, it gets boring and too repetitive. :/ Still a nice game, though. Something like 5 in 1, lol!

Yes, but 1 of those 5 stages is pretty much too quick and limited to beat anyway, and another 1 of those 5 stages is really similar to another...

Those concepts are great, but I really wanted them to build on it so much that you REALLY want to stay or be in the age/era. But eh, oh well.

That happens when you try a concept like this. This is a commercial game meant to be sold so its quality can't match one that was made "with love". Since there are 5 concepts it's hard to make them balanced and rich. :/ Only the Space Stage was quite amusing for me. The rest was worn out after an hour of playing. But then again, Space Stage is "massive". I didn't take planet per planet to get rid of the Grex, I just kinda flew through and manifested bases on some planets as jumppoints. There's a way from the upper left side of the core over the actual left side. It's a bit like following the trail of the stars of the Milky Way. I also found Earth, lol!

And I thought the computers I had aren't competent enough for running games such as Spore.

Is there any use for those Creature expansion packs? I went one day at the store and noticed Spore: Cute and Creepy, a supposedly expansion pack for more interesting creatures...It's probably just one of those EA money milk things...Since a true expansion pack would have so much interesting items in it that would affect all the ages...I would say.

Find the savefiles in your game and move it over. It should either be in the Spore Program Files or in the My Spore Stuff (Whatever it's called) within your Documents.

It has to be something like that. I'm not 100% sure. It's probably the latter when it comes to your planets, and then for the unlocks (Of the ages) it'll be stored in your Spore Program Files, or it just triggers when you have a planet at that age (Or right before that new age). :P

Easy? Does that mean you like blaze by everything?

Well, everything gets easy until you're doing way more than you're intending to do on the Space Stage. Really, the difficulty kind of kicks around Civilization and up. But after you beat up everything or befriend the empires in the Space Age, there's really nothing else to go for.

But Easy is Easy. I haven't tried the other difficulties since I just want to have fun while playing. :P

No, but I didn't get it illegally.

There has to be some explanation to this! Oh but wait, I didn't buy it in the store, my parents did! No! That's not the solution! There has to be something else that makes this make sense! I wonder what it can be!?

:V:

But seriously, I didn't get it illegally.

Here are my theories:

Beta
Developer
Borrowed
Copied
Came with your computer

goes on and on. LOTS of solutions :/

Some people don;t consider it beating the game unless you have don this as every archetype but I only did it as a Bard and am done playing as I already wasted 22 of the most fun hours of my life.

oh and sorry I forgot we had a video games forum and saw it after I posted feel free to move it if you want.

There is already a Spore topic so I took the liberty and merged it into there.

Yeah, I got to get back into playing with Spore. Some of those previous age consequence bonuses really help.
