I watched it.

IT WAS AMAZING.

Their portrayal of Goku was so realistic, I cried.

Was it really that good? I wanted to see it but latisha had different plans. My friends said they didnt like it.

Of course it was. Its the best thing ever. It made my life complete. Its better than Chrono Trigger and sex and blizzard at the same time.


Anyone else watch it and have an opinion to share?

*Slaps you in the face multiple times* Lol I didn't think it was that bad. But I wouldn't watch it again. I especially wouldn't pay to watch it.

But yea it is atleast something decent to watch.

The one thing that I didn't like was how the Kamehameha was not like how i remembered it from the cartoons.

And I don't remember Bulma kicking ass. But maybe i am mistaken.

She was fairly active in the original Dragon Ball, but she stopped doing stuff completely in Z.

I actually thought it was okay other than what they did to Goku, but they rushed it like crap and ruined the end. If it weren't for that, it would be rather enjoyable.

i agree,  when i saw the commercial, i said, "wow, that looks terrible" so i didn't watch it, and i might see it now... but maybe.

Seems this is the opinion of the norm. I never seen the Dragon Ball Evolution sort of stuff...except maybe a few ads. Not a commerical, or any actual footage however...

I find it to be a laughable fail-tastic attempt...Or at least I wonder if it'll end up as something like that. I've heard many opinions that are quite to similar to this (That the movie is lackluster), but we'll see...

I wonder what Fantasist thought of the movie...I know he's a big Dragon Ball fan...

I read a copy of the manga my friend had today (he's pretty awesome, he has lots of random cool crap) and the stark difference nearly made me cry.

Between the original manga and how pathetic the movie was, that is.

I've both read the manga and watched the anime. I'll have to see it sometime.

I dind't see it yet but when I saw the ads I thought it looked terrible really, I used to watch the anime, never read the manga though. I dunno though, guess I'll have to watch it... maybe

Dragonball was awesome.. almost ten years ago. Now its all about dem Yugimanz.

I'm a fan of the show but the idea of this movie is just really stupid, cmon... high school? this is worse then the mario movie.

Watched it. Didn't like it. Rushed and... WTF HIGH SCHOOL?! Piccolo looked horrible too ._.

If this could ever be redone, id love to see it in cgi much like advent children was done, then id bet it would become really famous. And stay to the story, dont reboot it into kids in highschool with stingrays and cameros >.<

I liked Ben 10 live action movie better than DB live action.. infact Ben 10 > DB cartoon.

Rose... You have no idea... Dargonball and Dragonball Z... are NOT cartoons.

Wow. Ben 10 is nothing compared to early DB and DBZ (it would be on par with the later half, though).

I think everything after cell games was crap in DBZ. And GT I didn't really like too well. But I really don't like ben 10.

Oh I definitely agree with you there. I hated that Goku became a kid again. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it that when he goes SSJ4 that he becomes an adult and when he returns he becomes a kid again? Or does he become an adult prior to going SSJ4? I seem to have forgotten.

SSJ4 makes him go adult, bot only temporarily.

And yes, it sucked.

I'm probably not going to see it until it comes out on video. The commercial didn't look that good. And you guys said they're in highschool? WTF...And since when are Goku and Bulma about the same age? Was there at least Vegeta? (though leaving out kerlin was a good idea, everyone hates him, XD)

nope no vegeta. Yea I wouldn't waste money on buying it. If you know someone who did buy it definitely watch it

they've always been around the same age. Goku was 12 or 14(they state both as fact within a year in the timeline) when the story starts. Bulma is sixteen.

When they first meet in Episode 1, there's a pretty big gap between them.

I think it was 4 years difference. Goku was always a small guy as a kid. xD

yeah. I'm readin the manga over again. so I remember - 2 to 4 years difference.
