Chaos Project

Alright, the more I think about this, the better the idea sounds.
so, give me a moment to prepare and get dramatic

You versus me in a month-long game competition :D
Not so much winner take all, or proving who is better, but having fun and putting out two killer games for the general public.

Rules of the Duel:

• You must use RMXP


• No outside help, aside from Testers. (Resources don't count as external help, i.e. scripts, sprites, etc...)


• Contest begins June 1st, and games must be submitted by June 30th


• No re-using old games for the competition, obviously

any sort of game, any length, any scripts or resources, no holes barred.

Should you accept these terms, we will both have until the 1st to plot and plan and think, and then begin!
We also need Judges, impartial of course, so do sign up below.

Anyways, you realize that May is the last month of my semester? That means half of the month will be spent focusing on finals rather than a game. I agree that it's an awesome idea, but really bad timing. Make it June and you've got a deal.

Um, sure, I guess. We haven't even started yet, and there's likely to be another delay due to a planned trip this June. But, we'll let you know when everything is in order.

Until then, there's plenty of examples of our solo works out there for you to look at.

So, uh, it's the end of May. However, I'm admittedly already not off to a good start due to personal inconviences that I'd rather not talk about, and from the sound of it Namkcor still has a week or so of school left himself. So, there might be a small delay. But Namkcor and I have agreed to start at the same time when both of us are ready. We will bump again when we've officially started.

I, personally, have to start today.
my entry will be completed for July 10th.

Hate to let you people down, but I'm backing out from this competition. There's so little time, and in order to make a good game in such time I have to really focus. But, recent events are preventing me from focusing or even feeling like doing this at all. Think of me as you will, I'm just not in the mood for this. I'm sure some of you from RMRK will already know why.

Namkcor still has to make his game though, so you still have epicness to look forward to. Maybe if I feel better I'll do an extremely quick game to match Nam's deadline of the 10th.

since there's no competition to it, I'm in no rush to finish the game, so it may not be done by July 10th, but I'll have at least a thread posted and I will finish the game by the end of August at the latest.

a bit late in mentioning this but...
yeah in IRC the other day I mentioned it.

I've been so burnt out mentally from working all day long every week day that I've just felt like crashing and playing games, and havent' felt creative at all.  Since Zylos cut out I kinda lost enthusiasm and the rest of it tanked with my lack of creativity, so atm I'm not even working on it.

I'll be finishing my game, just not for July 10th.

Was this forgotten?!
