Not sure if this goes here..
but uhm, Rock or Hop ?
Rock is like electric and acoustic not electronic, as Hop is mostly bass and racial/sexual/abusive slurs.
As Techno and Trance are it's own.

I don't understand the point here...

Let me get this straight. You're asking us which genre we like better: Rock or Hip Hop? If so, then okay, that's it.

I prefer Rock. The old days Hip Hop songs were pretty great in rhythm and innovative, but the ones nowadays are filled with sexual lyrics to the point it really ruins the song. Rock is mostly the same feel after you listen to it for the 9001st time...I don't know, it kind of got annoying to me. I mean, I had to not listen to a few songs with a guitar in it to get back into the groove.

Rock is my genre. Alternative, Classic, Metal, any of it. Mainly Classic/Alt, though. 80s and 90s FTW!

I can't stand Hip Hop, for reasons SRK stated. Other than what he said, I just don't like the genre all that much -- to me, a hip hop song is more of an experiment than a real musical creation. But that's just my opinion :/

Rock makes me too angry for me to say I like it. All the stupid Zepplin fans talking about how they're so amazing. Everyone thinking they're hardcore by listening to metal. It's just stupid.

Hip-hop is boring and therefore I refuse to listen to it unless suggested by another person. At least it's got a nice beat though. Something you can dance to.

Who cares btw? Both genres are old hat if you ask me. Electronic genres are nice and experimental in general like trance, hardcore, and bitpop. Progressive metal can be good and mathcore is interesting. Personally, I'm sick of the same old crap in the same old style. I think it's time we stop being so boring.

I voted the last one because it reminded me of pi.

But today I saw some Hip Hop dancing which blew my mind so I'm going to be biased toward it.
Today.

Meta, you can't be actually serious...How about metal? Death metal? Of they couldn't be hateful. You must be right though. Pop is very hateful. DANCE MUSIC is actually the most horrible form of music and should be censored.

Besides that he has pop as a sub-genre and a Genre.

Rap isn't a subgenre of Pop, its sub to hip-hop.
There is no 'Hatefull' or Hateful subgenre - EVER!?!

Unless you've actually done something wrong, there's no reason to be afraid, Meta. So I'm pretty sure anyone who's ever said anything negative about America falls under that.

The Killers/SOAD I agree with, they're awesome
However Green Day just sucks nowadays.  HEY I KNOW THREE CHORDS ON THE GUITAR GUYS LET'S MAKE ANOTHER ALBUM!  Dookie was awesome.  Basket Case etc... but nowadays they're just making music for the money from all the emo fangirls.  Also Sum 41 and Blink 182 sing counter-conformist music for the same reason: to get 'nonconformist' teens looking to rebel against nothing to listen to them.  I don't find much quality in their music.  And never heard of SMB.

Emo music = Emo music.

It's not really a political statement if there is nothing you actually do to protest. Music is great, but your actions, not your words, make the biggest impact. Counter-conformist music used to be a way to get yourself noticed and to say what you think, but it's the bands YOU PEOPLE listen to that make political statements in music a common thing. Let me ask you this: what are YOU going to do about what the government does wrong? You can listen to your music and complain or you can shut up and go make a difference. There is a difference between those people and you: you think you're counter-conformist, yet you just don't want to be mainstream. They have something to say. I've yet to hear anything actually constructive come out of your mouth, just anti-authoritarian bullshit.

Well just voicing your opinion can be considered protest unto itself.  So yes I agree it's a lot better to actually do something, but I think making one's voice heard is far from useless.

I voted this year in the election.  I researched and watched the debates, formed my opinion and made my (small and insignificant) voice heard.  It might not seem like much, but I feel a lot better about making my stance clear when I had a say in who is in office.

He's an anarchist. No person could ever be an anarchist who sits at home an listens to music. In general speaking your mind is protest, but you can't be an anarchist who doesn't do anything.

He's not really speaking his mind, though. He's more "OOH!!!!!!!!! LET'S OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT CUZ THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!111" without any real opinion in there, just "they suck."

You know, socialism sucks. Doesn't my opinion make enough sense to cause the entire world to go capitalist?

While we do not show users being in a Banned group, you can easily find out if someone is banned if they are not online anymore (Or their activity ceases) and then check the Banned and Deleted Accounts thread.

Back to Rock or Hop...if there really is anything to talk about.
