Title: PKMN : Heart Gold + Soul Silver
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on May 08, 2009, 08:12:26 pm
(http://www.softsailor.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/pokemon-heart-gold-and-pokemon-soul-silver.jpg)

I sure hope you know about this information. Pokemon Gold and Silver have been personal favorites by many of the Pokemon fans, and now they're finally officially remaking it.

Expect it in Fall of 2009. There's little information, but I'm sure it's legitimate. All the Pokemon sites that are real have it.

Discuss.

It'll be released in Japan around the Fall of 2009. That means you'll expect this masterpiece to arrive in the Spring of 2010 on USA unless they delay it so.

The game is probably going to be like Diamond and Pearl in terms of gameplay. If you didn't like that, then uh oh~

I see this in a positive atmosphere and LOVE it.

I was wondering when they where ganna do that. They remade red and blue into fire red and leaf green so they could trade pokemon with the gba games, all that was left was gold and silver, (and crystal but crysal is not needed), those where the only 2 games left that where impossible to trade pokemon.

So after this I guess it will be possible to get all 500 or so (sorry lost count) pokemon :) That is assuming the ds games trade with the gba games, never playing the ds ones im not sure.

Actually Mightylink, you're able to obtain nearly the 493 Pokemon in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum without the need for migration (With exceptions of few, hence nearly).

After you beat the Elite Four and obtain the National Dex, there would be new Pokemon lying around that come up (Chances being higher) with the 'Pokeradar'. They're littered throughout Sinnoh. Some special Pokemon appear in the Trophy Garden during days of the week as well. Don't forget about the island in the back where there are special National Dex Pokemon. :) Finally, in Sandgem Town, every day there will be a special influx of a certain Pokemon at that route.

You can get all the Pokemon except for version exclusions, legendaries from previous generations, and starters, if I recall correctly.

Yay! Finally! My favorite pokemon games (Silver) gets an graphical upgrade =D And hopefully stuff like the 7 Islands in Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Hmm, yumm. Silver was PWN. I had a really tough Typhlosion and Lugia (at the time, I prefered 1-2 uber strong pokemon to a few moderate ones)

My friend went for the same tactic, I kicked his ass thought :P

Lugia is the most awesome legendary pokemon ever <3 Normally I don't like to play with legendaries, but when I get Soul Silver I am so gonna do it!

I seriously doubt Nintendo will really go through with this, these rumors have been going on for about 3 years now... last time I saw these pics was about a week before Diamond/Peral came out in the US. If it is to come out I will definatly buy, Gold/Silver/Crystal were always my favorites. Although as I said before, I highly doubt it.

Stop ruining my happiness :(
Silver is still the pokemon game I have had the most fun with.

(And btw, I am pretty sure it is true, because it is says on Serebii.net that Nintendo have announced it on the official pokemon webpage.. http://www.pokemon.co.jp/info/game/g090508_01.html)

And I'm pretty sure it's real, too. Why wouldn't they do it?

I really hope its a remake of the old ones. Just better graphics. But of course it'll probably end up having unneeded feattures like Diamon, Pearl, and Platinum. There were thigns in those games I didnt care for.

1st:
This is real. There will be more information about it tomorrow. All official Pokemon websites have it, so chances are the sources are verifiable. In fact, there's even the link leading to the official Pokemon website. It seems too good to be true, but it's really true.

2nd:
I'm sure they'll have a load of features. The radio system and the phone system are probably going to come back, more interesting than ever. Perhaps they won't make the Kanto region so limited as before. The Battle Tower nearby Olivine is definitely going to be there, or possibly even a Battle Frontier elsewhere.

Kind of obvious, but this is truly exciting.

DAMN YOU SRK, YOU BEAT ME TO THE FINISH!

Anyways...I'd post a pic of my Crystal, but Ulta might weep...it's just too sad of a sight, my gold however is in near perfect condition ^_^

The one thing I'm expecting out of this is the ability to catch the ONLY legendary not to be widely released outside of Japan.  I am of course talking about everyone's favorite little time traveler, Celebi (Emerald had mew, and you can also get Mew through MyPokemon Ranch).

For fucks sakes, I'd love to see the old Pokegear make a comeback, though with the DS-shit...I mean DSi having its own SD card slot, it's possible it may have some form of MP3 player, though I really hope not because I really want to the DSi to just crawl into a little hole and die, it's a pathetic little system and -ends rant before this gets off topic...

Anyways...I've been waiting for this for quite a while, and I'll probably buy both in one run like I did with DP.  THIS THREAD GETS THE GAX SEAL OF EPICNESS FOR POKEMONTH, GO SRK!

As long as they don't use up "256 pokemon slots including" the one with ID 0, there will always be a Missingno. And there is a very, very small probability that there will be exactly 256 pokemon in one pokemon game.

I have my Red, Silver, and Yellow setting downstairs right now, all in mint condition. Yellow has Mew, Red has a Lvl 100 Charizard that is my only good pokemon, and Silver IDK about.

When I played through Red the first time, I couldn't figure out how to get into Saffron City, so I just walked around with my Charmander for a while fighting. Then my Charmeleon. Then my Charizard. Then my Lvl 60 Charizard. Then I was like, "Hey, what if I gave the thirsty guard water!"... and from that point on it was kinda easy.

I agree with Dio.
The moment they brought Pokemon to the DS is the moment I stopped playing it :/
I mean why ruin it by making it 3D? The only good 3D game made by Pokemon was Pokemon Stadium 1 + 2.
I tried playing Heart Gold on DS today and I hated it... Literally hated it. It reminded me of Pokemon Pearl, which I also hated.
It just ran too slow. I'm used to GBA fire red where it was fast and I could run around and didn't have to wait a second for the character to actually move.
Oh well. Maybe they will make them for the Wii and make them 2D like in old days, then I will play them.
Also, I hate DSes. As simple as that.

Not everything in the game is 3-D. It's really strange that they made it into that, but hey, one can get used to it~ The Mode7 feel is really good. I actually think the 3-D perspective seems pretty nice, though on the DS it doesn't look extremely pretty, haha. You can make some impressive cutscenes with that power, or beauty of it all.

Sure, walking is extremely slow, but the opportunities you can run around in the game has increased so much. It does make up for itself. Besides, get a bicycle as well. :X I'm getting this from the Diamond and Pearl games, so I don't know if you can really run anywhere in HG and SS. Also...playing on your DS? Using a flashcard?

They'll probably make more coliseum/stadium/3-D Battle related games, like Pokemon Battle Revolution...Sometime though. Speaking of which Battle Revolution was a disappointment, and there isn't anything that's living up to the classic Pokemon Stadium series.

Don't hate the DS. ;( ~

Word on the street says Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver actually has some anti-piracy measures...The game freezes up periodically. Or something. That's the Japanese version, I don't know about the English one (Probably the same thing?).

this, they're working on it.

also LOL @ all of the "HOW DARE THEY EMBRACE THE FUTURE AND MAKE POKEMON IN 3D" comments.  Because nobody should ever take advantage of new increases in technology and such, no way.

The game is fine.  They did a good job of taking the originals and bringing them to the new era.  Story is about the same, Pokemon are the same, you still get apricots and shit, the only difference is that you can be a girl (who looks like a country bumpkin) and it appears that they're running the whole dual-rivals thing again.

Seriously, they did a wonderful job of revising the two best ones to come out, I see nothing wrong with these ones that you can't fault the entire series for.

If you expected it to be exactly the same as the Gameboy Color versions, you set yourself up for disappointment.  OH GOD THEY MODIFIED IT INSTEAD OF MAKING IT EXACTLY THE SAME, BLASPHEMY!

Yeah they do freeze up and run extremely slow. I'm going to have to actually buy it to see how it will be.

and the DS should never support 3D. Every game I have played on the DS that has 3D never runs smoothly. It's so annoying. I mean if they make it 3D it should be on the Wii, not the DS. But eh, just my opinion.

They did do a good job on the remake, but it still doesn't feel the same at all. Bad music, longer animations(makes the battles much slower imo), and that's all I got as I stopped at the first gym.

I didn't expect it to be exactly the same, but they should have at least stuck to the same principles of the game. I mean changing the appearance of it, alright I can deal with that. But it was so confusing at the start, like I didn't even know what I was suppose to do at the beginning(that might have been because it was still in Japanese though).

But I will go out on Monday and buy GoW III as well as this and tell ya'll what I think. You can just ignore this post right now as this is going off from the emu so yeah. I will even play through the whole game up until the elite four, even go back into pallet town as well(as I believe you can go into pallet town after you beat the elite four), then give my 2 cents. :D

The english version is running fine, it's not slow so maybe your flash cart is just a load of shit.
Playing in japanese without knowing japanese is like asking to be confused.

Battle Anims: turn them off if they bug you, it's right in the options.
Music: get the GBC player and shut up.  Music is fine imo.

It ain't going to be the same game, they're bringing HG/SS to the new generation, it's basically just bringing back the old areas and old pokemon because they were fucking awesome, and adding the new-style spin to it.  I have no issues with this.  The core mechanics are the same, play Michael Vick with colorful animals and go to the hospital when they die faint.

Also I have yet to play a single 3d game on the DS that ran badly for me.  And I have been obsessing over Phantasy Star Zero and Kingdom Hearts 356/2 lately.

Yeah, 356/2 doesn't run perfectly, but it nearly rivals the PS2 at near flawless framerates. I wouldn't say that the DS is exactly weak.

I'm thinking of replacing mine with that since mine is having compatibility issues with some games.
is it worth it?

Well, I just bought the gane instead of using a flash card. That actually is a possibiblity too...

First impressions:
OMG, the graphics! OMG, the music! LOL, Magikarps!
...that's all.

I put back some money over the last few months to get it. It's not like I'm rich or anything.
Also, I don't get games when I don't have money. I don't judge you, though, to each their own or something.

Acekard 2i really is the best model on the market for its price. There are some that have built in memory, but it's not worth the extra cost. You can get a 2i for around $25.

I wish my DS was still working. I've gone through two of them with exactly the same motherboard fault, and I'd love to be playing Soul Silver right now.  :(
