Hi guys.
What is the RTAB and where can i find it. I have looked everywhere for it and I want to try it out.
RTAB means Real Time Action Battle System. It's basically like the Final Fantasy games, which is why it's so popular. One of the most popular RTAB edits is Minkoff's Animated Battlers, which is self-explanatory.
I believe GAX made an RTAB edit. It's the only find at the moment.

Many of the links for the RTAB is gone, so good luck with Google.
Thanks for the help
EDIT: Does this make the battle system side view or keep it front view

It depends on what RTAB script you're using. The original RTAB script by Cogwheel I believe utilizes front-view. The add-ons, such as Minkoff's, make it side view instead.
Ok thanks for pointing me in the right direction I have found the cogwheel version.
Again thanks
To tell you the truth ... I don't think that the RTAB is that important. I mean, I am using MABS(Minkoff's) and I am avoiding the RTAB like the plague, because of it's incompatibility with many other scripts that I use.
While it's unavailable, I don't really see a downside...
That may be true but, I have never used it lol , I kept seeing it being mentioned and never knew what it was so I thought i would try and find it to try it out.
I understand. I hope things work out for ya.
Thanks, I've tried it and it really doesnt seem that intresting, I have tried some of the front view ones but for my first game im only going to keep to the normal battle system with add ons, The side views look complicated to configure.
So thanks guys for answer in my request, But i think ill keep it anyway for future purposes
Again thanks
Well, you also could use the Anu Tanketai SBS. It´s much easier to confirgure and doesn´t require so odd battlers. You can use normal 4*4 character sets. You should find it with google. There are versions to both XP and VX. It was originaly in japanese, but it has been translated. I´m using it myself on my XP game.
Also you can use the normal battlers (for enemies) aswell.
