:o Goldensun Animations! How did you do that?

EDIT: I mean, erasing the black part off the GIF frames? Or were they transparent already? If you used PS, did you simply use the magic eraser or did you work hard on the outlines? Questions like that :D
Title: Re: Ryex's resources, Sound and now graphics!
Post by: Ryex on February 03, 2008, 10:42:01 am
No they were not tranparent i had to erase the black whit ment a lot of flood tool color replacment (because the back groud was not always black aroung the anamation

Title: Re: Ryex's resources, Sound and now graphics!
Post by: Ryex on February 03, 2008, 05:06:44 pm
acaualy I tried them out and they do look good. if you find a glich (like I forgot to get rid of some black or sothing like that) tel me and I'll fix it and repost so it looks better.

But for best resalts note the note that you should place each frame and zoom it 300%

Title: Re: Ryex's resources, Sound and now graphics!
Post by: Ryex on February 18, 2008, 08:36:23 pm
There are now four new ripped animations the standard attack animation from Golden Sun, and the standard enemy attack animation.  also there is a quake and a flair animation

These new rips are ripped strait from the game and not from prebuilt giffs. so they took even more work hope you enjoy them!

Oh and by the way I'm planning to Rip almost every animation in Golden Sun. so there will eventually be over 100 animations here

Post by: Nortos on February 20, 2008, 01:35:33 am
omg I love you, btw have you set these up in RMXP? if so could you put the animation data from the data folder uploaded here would save people lots of time (I'm lazy :P)
Title: Re: Ryex's resources, Sound and now graphics!
Post by: Ryex on February 20, 2008, 05:23:30 pm
no, as a matter of fact I have not but I coud do it if you want. that would acualy take me longer that it to make then though.  well it would take me longer  thand id did for me to make the anamations from the pree made gifs it would take me about the same amount of time as id did for the full rips.

I'l do it but it will be a while

Title: Re: Ryex the Rip Master's Resources [New files!]

new sound file 'Stronghold music' I had to convert the files from '.RAW' to '.WAV' (basically the same. uncompressed waveform except '.WAV' can be read by windows.) then to '.WMA' (reduced the file size by about 500%)
Title: Re: Ryex the Rip Master's Resources [New files!]
Post by: Blizzard on July 27, 2008, 05:52:52 am
It can't be reduced by 500%, that would be -400% of the original size. xD You must be meaning 80% (it's 5 times smaller). The difference between .raw and .wav is that .wav has some extra data in the header before the actual data.
Title: Re: Ryex the Rip Master's Resources [New files!]
Post by: Ryex on July 27, 2008, 09:03:45 am
... ya 80% I don't know what i was thinking.  and ya .RAW is descried as Headerless RAW Waveform
Title: Re: Ryex the Rip Master's Resources [New files!]
Post by: Blizzard on July 27, 2008, 03:12:10 pm
Can be headerless .bmp image as well. .raw is headerless in common.

Title: Re: Ryex the Rip Master's / minor editer's Resources [New Battlebacks!]
Post by: Sally on January 03, 2009, 11:01:26 am
sure but i duno what gamma is
Title: Re: Ryex the Rip Master's / minor editer's Resources [New Battlebacks!]
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on January 03, 2009, 02:15:58 pm
It's a value where on a graph the line of the Gamma determines the brightness and darkness of an image. A lower gamma probably means the image is less saturated and more dark, while a higher one is the opposite. I would say it has a LOT of saturation, those images, but it can be used very well if the colors are toned down...just some easy Photoshopping. You can edit the Gamma correction on your computer with Advanced Display Options. :P
