Title: Theme Format Errors?
Post by: Starrodkirby86 on June 21, 2009, 04:12:17 pm
Browser: Mozilla Firefox 3.0
Monitor Resolution: 1440x900

Problem occurs regardless if window is maximized.

There's a white strip across the top of the forum...I don't know why.

Also, on the homepage, the Google Ads is kind of funnily done:

I opened this site on Google Chrome; the white strip isn't there. The ads are still strangely placed.

Weird shit. o.o; Tell me, when did you notice it the first time? It's very likely that the username color hack caused this.

Wow, that's odd. You'd think that a decent engine would be able that kind of stuff easy, given that it's like two lines of PhP and one line of CSS.

Also, the JavaScript in the reply box is brutally slow on iPhone. Or maybe the 400mhz ARM just isn't up to decoding 256kbps MP3s at the same time as posting a reply :/ Usually the lag isn't very noticeable.

I noticed it today. I don't recall seeing this yesterday at all. I can always check another computer to see if anything changed.

In fact, I'll be right back.

EDIT: No, it's not on that computer at all. But maybe I need to refresh its cache or something. That other computer also uses Firefox 3.0, but has a different monitor resolution.

This has been going on with me for a couple weeks actually, I think a little before XChange was opened.

Just didn't think to post it, I thought my computer was being a twatsickle.

Oh! I just realized that Safari 4 does the exact same thing while the page is loading (but it goes away before it finishes). Weird. *tests Fx and Opera*

Nope, just Safari, and only during load :/

The problem on the homepage is just a shitty Joomla module for ads. I'll have to contact Xintekk about it.
Regarding the forum itself, I don't know what's wrong. :/ If it randomly appears on different browsers and different resolutions than it would be almost impossible to find the actual cause of the bug. :/

It's gone, apparently...

It's perhaps some browser thing that goes on and off? Who knows...

Eh, whatever. :S

Blizz, would you happen to be using different images to show the header-thing at the top?

And SRK, Xintekk's floating around. :P

I do use one horizontally-tiled image for that. Maybe it just didn't load. ._.

That should work ok now, it was the module problem, but i fixed it, test it and it works now.
If you see the problem again - post it here...

the adds have been removed so you wouldn't have an issue.
