Title: The shopping thread *can´t think of a better name*
Post by: Holyrapid on October 28, 2009, 03:49:15 pm
So, i copy the idea from THE Finnish RM-forum, RPG Maker Finland. The idea of this topic is to tell others what you´ve bought recently. You can post things you bought at the local Kwik-E-Mart (lol?), or ordered from a net store. (i.e kwik-e-mart.d'oh)

My latest bought is the newest album of Sonata Arctica, The Days of Grays. Haven´t had really time to listen it properly, since i came from the concert of Lauri Tähkä (google with copy-paste if you want to know more). I then went to a loca store S-Market (the S just means Sokos, the chain of stores it´s part of...) to wait for my dad, who was to pick me up. My mom had given me 20€ (euros, roughly 20-25$, i´m not so sure about the currencies relations) to prehaps buy a cd of Lauri Tähkä, or something. I didn´t like the concert enough to but their album, so i went to the S-Market, and bought the Sonata CD instead. Along with 35cl (centi-liter) bottle of coke...

(and if anyone has a better idea for a name, tell us, and eithr i or the mods [if they want to] can change it...)

I believe it is one of The Complete Sherlock Holmes (a very nice leather one at that, Transatlanticism or Feeling Strangely Fine (Death Cab for Cutie and Semisonic albums, respectively).

BTW, €20 is $29.47.

I know how you feel. I got a roll and a tiny piece of BBQ chicken.

...while everyone in the other line (we have two to speed up the process of buying food, even though it still sucks) got a BIG piece of chicken. AND BEANS!!!! >=V

Where do you guys live, since you have so cheap food? (or at least it seems cheap to me...)
Anyway, my lates boughts (call em what you want to... <.<) were a 0,45l (that´s short for liter. Finland uses metric system, in everything... heights, weights, distances... which allmost equals height, except it goes along the surface, and not upwards...) bottle of battery Juiced Cranberry (Battery energy drink with added Cranberry juice), and a salami sandwich. The Battery cost 2,87€ (though, we round the prices to the nearst five cents, at least when paying with cash. If buying/paying with credit/bank card) and the sandwich cost 1,87€
a bit too much for a poor students wallet...

its good i think and if you do everything in it,it's easily 100+ hours of gameplay it kills time thats for sure pc version of it is probably better but the 360 version it good enough for me,plus xbox live multiplayer(not alot of people play it but you can find a few games going most the time ,but if you get it on 360 let me know and we will play) if you into diablo like games then id recommended but thats just me :)

lol, that's epic.

I bought a giant orange Gatorade the other day for $4.00(Good price, that.) at a gas station, and 4 burritos for a school lunch(not all eaten on the same day. :ninja: ) every day for $8.00... what a fucking rip-off. :<_<:

I know my school needs money and all, but still... I can go to Taco Bell for lunch and get 5 or 6 bigger burritos for cheaper, and they have better ingredients in them. :o And really, if they need to use their extortionate prices for lunch, why would they even allow kids to have off campus passes for lunch? :xD:

Rose, you suck... -.-'
I've been wanting that laptop since it first came out D:

Tell me how she runs (:
But question... why lunar silver? The black looks so much sexier with the red. IMO of course.

But I still have the old m17 alienware. :D
Just the specs with the m17x are so much better D:
Plus the red lights on the m17x are cooler than the blue ones on the m17 :/

Btw: Might wanna take off the nameplate on the receipt unless you want stalkers... :O

I don't know about the old M17, but the lights on the M17x can change colors; I'm planning to use the light blue color, for a while at least, which I think would look better with a silver casing. I'll be sure to post updates once it gets here, which will hopefully be in about two weeks.  ;) And yes, I should probably have removed my name from the receipt. :/

But yeah taking your name off would have been a good idea :P

I would recommend updating the home premium to ultimate though, to get the full experience of a gaming laptop ;D

Fantastic! My only complaint is that the touch pad seems a little... bad. But I have a nice Logitech Wireless Laser Mouse that makes up for it, and everything else about the computer is even better than expected. I can even run a PS2 emulator is 1200p at a smooth 60 fps, and, with it being such a crappy emulator to begin with, that's no mean feat. Fallout 3 runs at full settings flawlessly. I haven't tried Crysis, as I don't have it; that's supposed to be the a real challenge for even very high powered rigs, so I'll have to download a demo or something and see how my M17x copes.

I bought the Toradora! season 1 premium edition. Pretty neat:

Overall the box is pretty sweet. It's about an inch deep and made of extremely sturdy cardboard. It's definitely one of the high quality boxes I've seen. Aesthetically, the box is also quite cool, being awesome and abnormally tell, so it stands out. The only complaint that comes to mind is the awkward height for shelving, but I found a place on my computer desk, so it's all good.

Art Book and Episode Guide: ShowHide
(http://i54.tinypic.com/11caasn.jpg)

DVDs: ShowHide
(http://i54.tinypic.com/29eoydh.jpg)

The box came with two DVDs going up to episode 13 which is half the series and an art book with character guides, voice actor interviews, commentary, relationship guides and a few other bonus features. Overall, it was a really nice experience and the entire box was such a great buy. The DVDs themselves are high quality and I suppose any fans of the show who are willing to spend the money would be delighted with the purchase. The second season is coming out soon with the same packaging, so I'm thinking of picking that up.

Overall the box cost me $46.99.

Count the strings. Yes, you see right - this is a seven string guitar, a Cort EVL Z47.  I just got it today, from the money a friend lend me, and it's fucking amazing. Rosewood fingerboard, bolt-on neck, mahagony corpus, black silk finish, two passive humbuckers by EMG, custom string-through bridge and abalone pentagram inlays, easy as fuck to play, goes as low as Drop G# with standart strings, sounds epic clean as well as distorted in the entire frequency range it has, and all of that for only 370€. I love it. <3

You're going to make a woman very happy one day, Spoofus.
How do you know Niche's hair looks like a bird's nest? Bring back the FROHAWK!
@WhiteRose; I've spent many hours drooling over pictures, reviews and performance benchmarks of the M17x. It's a pity I could only scrape together 600 euros to buy my Sony Vaio EB1E0E (Very long, difficult to remember model names ftv)
15inch HD screen. i3 processor and 3 gigs of ram, unfortunately I got a fricking integrated graphics card which get's pwned by high end games or games with particular graphics card requirements. (DIGRESSION ALERT!)
I bought like 7 books today in a bargain book store!

FTV? For the...please don't tell me it's victory.
Sub knows what my hair looks like through facebook. That, or the creepy german guy who's been stalking me is somehow associated with him.

Yes it means for the victory. I concede, I used an abbreviation! Shoot me in the head, why don't ya? I'll check the child (I had to take this word out to stop me getting the 403 error. Hint: Procreation.) offenders database for Tino *cough* Subsonic_noise.
Also, I'm not done my metamorphisis diary entries for Amber and Rio cos' I didn't think a diary entry reflected to the break-up of Amber and Alfie with enough emotion and conviction.

Bose are some of the best headsets around.

BOSE or GTFO (http://sportys.com/PilotShop/category/785?gclid=CNbT2J_-t6cCFdO4Kgod-Qs1_Q)

I don't wear an A20, but I got myself a Bose. ;)
