Chaos Project

Mmmk listen up, i'm new to the forums, so i'm planning on earning a reputation for myself.

I'm a spriter, request a sprite i'll make it.

I do not play the computer 24/7 so it won't be done immediately, but as soon as i get the chance, it's yours.

Here's the request format i would kindly ask you to follow.


Sex:
Male or Female.

Description:
i.e
-Clothing
-Colours
-Detail
-Accessories

Background of the character:
Example: Lives in the forest, is at one with nature and can use natural spells.
(This helps me to get a feel of the end product, sounds stupid but it helps)

I take spriting quite seriously a decent one can take me between 10-30 minutes.


Example(Using my format):

Sex:
- Male

Description:
- Wears cyan robes with long sleeves almost reaching the floor.
- Green hair, wild and like leaves.
- Detail in the shading.
- Holding a birch stick with a leaf at the top.

Background of the character:
- Lives in the forest, is at one with nature and can use natural spells.

OK, and now i get to make it. :)

-Edit, ok heres what i do, i make a character reference, from what you asked for, above you saw what i asked for, I create a character profile, which would look something like this:

This is a simple looking one, not brilliant i admit, did on paint its just a demo, you can also give me a reference picture for me to sprite from.
I didnt do a head on this one, simply because it was too early and i couldn't find my custom head folder. :]
This took me around 20 minutes, it's something i do to help me.
ill maybe start doing the actual sprite when i get some time later today.

You should post examples and estimated time that you'd take to do the sprites.

I'd like a sprite of the main character of my game (Endzeit).
As I told you, the sprite should be about 1.5 times the size of a regular rtp character.

-wears a black coat
-has black hair and blue eyes
-wears a hand gun on a belt
-I'd like a sprite of him without is mouth covered and one with some sort of gas mask (but a minimalistic one, lol)

Background of the character:
Well this is hard to say because we didn't finish the story yet, but it's a postapocalyptic setting, so a few things are futuristic, but not that "hightech". The main character escaped from the underground city where he and the other survivors lived in because he was sentenced to death and now lives on the surface again where he forms a group to bring down the dictator who controls the underground city.
This is all we have so far.
I know this doesn't sound really awesome, but that's because I fail at storytelling. xD

Also, this is a veeeery early demo of what my game's graphics will look like:

See how the regular rtp sprites just don't fit in? (Just ignore that tank, it looks shitty xD)
I won't using the 3d script in the end, btw. Just use this for general style reference.

That's fine, i open the image and it has a black background though, have you uploaded it with transparent background?

sorry, i wasnt under the impression i was rule breaking, and i wouldn't call it ripping their work, i'm simply borrowing it to sprite. im not claiming the actual artwork to be my own, only the sprite and simply for demonstrating. :)

And why don't you spoiler them for him?

I think this rule has turned a bit subjective now that Blizzard has a better server that can handle larger images...? (I believe) Something like this was only because our bandwidth was ridiculously small (000webhost).

But the clothes are wrong on this one, so please only use it for general reference.

It has nothing to do with a better host for CP. It's about the viewers. If people didn't respect the spoiler rule, I'd have trouble browsing CP right now (I'm on a slow connection). So keep spoilering them all. :D

Well, it's good for the first draft, but there are some things to criticize:
- The placement of the eyes looks wierd, but i have no clue how to fix that.
- the hair also looks a bit strange, too xD
- could you make the coat a bit longer? Not as long as the ones in matrix (lol), but still, perhaps 3-5   
  pixels?
Then it just needs some more shading and details and it'll be awesome xD

all the things you said were the things i thought looked bad, i originally had the coat like a trench coat, but decided you wanted to be able to see the belt, so i raised it to see the belt, i agree ill give it another shot, it's real hard for me, but practise makes perfect, how do you want the eye?

I actually have no clue how the eye should be, lol. Just leave them as they are if you can't find a position that looks better.

Didn't add a sword just incase you wanted to equip different ones. how is it?

It looks great but the face looks likes he's too young in my opinion.Can you make it look older?
