Title: [REQUEST] Mapping Cities
Post by: Jalm on November 02, 2009, 04:12:59 pm
Or castles. Or towns. Or any human-based establishments, really, but I'm mostly concerned with the Castle Town tileset.

Many people can easily map natural settings just by randomly spamming flowers, grasses, etc, and I've seen a few tutorials for those. Any of you mapping geniuses mind writing somethung up?

mostly towns are symmetrical as to make them clean. so kinda follow that guideline. if their not symmetrical then it will be a pattern.

Also watch your spacing for trees, shrubs and flowers, to many of the same kind in an area make it look to man made. Try to use a variety of plants, and just kinda spread them around, as you said spamming.
