Okay, hello guys! So I just recently started working the RMXP, and I quite like it. I'm working on a game right now using the preset tiles to hopefully present a game that isn't as cliche as some of the others I've seen. Too many "save the world" types for me. But anywho, here's the storyline I've worked out so far. It's vague for a reason.
It starts off with a random little "Oh, the lady's sick. Help her." which develops into a "Okay, there WAS this guy here who looked ominous", and then it follows the cliche "Find him!" storyline. The plot really thickens when you get to choose between good an evil, either pressing onward to slay this menace, or joining his ranks and betraying your home. If you choose to fight him, you wind up joining a powerful anti-evil nation that's actually intelligent. Instead of head-on attacks they have you making tactical kills and fulfilling quests that will topple the evil empire. Once you destroy the empire, you can choose to let your nation take over the lands or take your own kingdom in your own name. If you join the evil side, your main goal is get to the *insert super godly item name here* and retrieve it, destroying anyone in your way. Once you get it, you can decide to return it to your king, betray the kingdom and turn to good, or keep it to yourself and rule your own empire. There's a
looooot to be added to it, and I'm aiming for a massive amount of side quests so those who don't want to continue down the storyline can still have fun. This is also highly in the works and extremely subject to change.

I'm mostly trying to get down tile useage at the moment. As you can see they need a lot of work. o 3o
But yes, that's what I have so far. Right now I'm working on the first part of the main storyline, which will take me a few hours to fully script. Comments, suggestions, etc. appreciated!
Very true. I've practically got the whole scheme laid out as to how it'll all happen up to the point of choosing good or evil. After that it's a blur, really. XD
The side quests will be made up as I go, though. I'd like to not have an aneurysm thinking up every single possible quest. :P
I totally agree with Gangsta. I love the concept of being able to switch sides almost any time. xD
