Actually you get energy from others. And to be able to give energy to somebody else, you need at least 10 posts.

Nothing. It's just something like reputation. If somebody does something well, you give him a powerup. If (s)he does something bad, you give her/him a powerdown. =X You are not obliged to do so. You can, you don't have to.
I guess the only setback, is that sometimes you'll get jackasses that'll join the site, and if they don't like it, just powerdown everyone, like I've seen so many times on other forums.
Who'd like to trouble such a nice and humble forum, hm?
assholes with no life and play WoW in there mothers basements without a job and never having known what its like to have a girl/boyfriend.

That's why I require 10 posts to be able to change energy first. When the forum gets bigger, I'll increase it 30 and eventually to 50.
