I'm serious. After Pearl/Diamond was criticized by many, they attempted with the Gold/Silver remakes to bail themselves out. Now they're probably going to make more mistakes than in Pearl/Diamond and the franchise might completely die. People just don't know when to stop, when it's really enough and when you can only make it worse. The only game series that has been progressively getting better and actually stayed good after many, many new games is Zelda.

I agree, but they should have stopped before Diamond/Peral in my opinion.

Of course they should have, but they couldn't expect that they would turn out so badly. It should have been a lesson to them. ._.

We'll just see what happens. I heard they'll be utilizing more 3-D and they'll have an improved migration system. ...Er, heard. The Gold/Silver remakes seem more promising though, I'll tell you that. Oh wait...*looks at avatar*

Personally, I think we should have just stuck with the original 151 pokemon. I mean we had a freaking rap to memorize all of them, and that was hard enough to learn (so as to know them all). But now, there's just so many NEW pokemon. I mean I just met a modern day 10 year old pokemon fan, and I tried to talk to him about pokemon. It was depressing. He didn't even know who mewtwo was...

Imho Pokemon Gold and Silver where the best one, naw, actually, Crystal. But I enjoyed all other editions, too.
Actually, I'll keep buying the new ones since I never played a pokemon game that was bad. Some kind of a quality guarantee,  I guess.
*saves money for soul silver*

I stopped playing pokémon back whenever I stopped wasting my time mashing buttons all day long.

My life is much better now that I only play Kingdom Hearts/FPSes/the occasion RTS. And only very infrequently.

Of course I just got home from an asylum last week for depression and I'm in the middle of a platonic relationship so you can take my metrics for happiness however you want.

Also the Google ad above is typing at the exact same speed as me.

FPSes ftw (:

I'm definitely going to download a rom for this before I buy it to make sure I want it. Cause I don't wanna spend money on something I'm going to play once and hate... (:
(That and I can mod roms ;))

Best you do this with a Flashcard or something; those emulators are a nightmare with some more modern ROMs. :P Especially if they utilize 3-D. Then again, you can always try and cut for time by making everything greyscale and no-audio...I'm talking about No$ here. :xD:

Kingdom Hearts

I lol'd a bit there.

What's wrong with the newer ones?  So they add more into it, or add different ones, the art style is changing as well, why not make new monsters to fit it?  If they stayed with the original 151 people would complain that there hasn't been anything new since the first gen, and it would have done even worse.

As far as I'm concerned, the DS versions made some good upgrades over the GBA ones, I like the more extensive multiplayer that they offered, while still keeping the mechanics we all like, and I'm somewhat looking forward to a remake of the best ones to ever come out.

There still exists a generation that will do exactly that that spans about from 6-12 years old.

I'll probably get it. If only because everyone else is.

This does bring up the question of Legendaries, though. We already have the 'mon equivalent of God.

We also need to replace Lucario for the obligatory new Smash Bros...

Hey, I'm not actually an ecstatic character on this. My Acadec speech was actually about the bastardization of Pokemon. :P It got me in the 900s (out of 1000), so I'm quite content at my subject. :P

If Sakurai doesn't get stingy about sequels for his franchises...That's why he left HAL. =(

Oh, and if Lucario is replaced, we're probably going to see "Furry Silhouette Werewolf Thing" as the new guy. :V:
