Element Island© Meet the elements Is the first of a 3-part game. This first part is a small introduction to the 2 next games. You can see this as a, a bit longer, demo or something.

Element Island is a rpg game made in RMXP. First I was about to make one full big game, but then it became boring. So I thought slicing the game in 3 parts would make it cool for me and for the gamer.
The game will come in 3 parts :
Part one : Element Island Meet the Elements
Part two : Element Island Into the Mode
Part three : Element Island The final strike
Once a new part came out the game will be glued together and you must just download the new version and replace your sav file to that folder.
So, thats the explaination for now.

Suddenly you awake...
Youre on a beach.
There are four birds anoying you.
You try to run away but they wont let you.
There is a man passing by.
He tries to get to you but the birds close him out.
Then you're feeling so angry !
Suddenly you're unleashing a great power, it feels wierd.
Then you faint...
The old man wakes you.
You don't know how you came there, what that power was a moment ago.
The only thing that you do know is your name.
From here you are learning the ropes of the game.
The old man tells you you have special powers.
They (the old man and other rulers of the islands) want to train you.
You are travelling trhoug the 5 islands learning to controll your powers.
See the picture of the five islands near "screenshots"

Player
Player is... Well, the player ! You give him your own name.
He can attack with alll sorts of weapons. Thanks to Blizz-abs he has a choise of 20 weapons he can choose from.
For each weapon there is a appropriate spriteset. I know that he looks a bit boring.
That's when blizz's visual equipment come's in. There are a lot of armors to wear.

Devon
Though you'll only see him once in the very beginning of the game I'll put his info up here.
Devon is the "badd ass guy" in the game. he is the source of all the evil stuff going on.
In the first part of the game you wont learn much about him.
You'll only hear a few remors about him.
I'll put the Bio's of other characters up later

Just some grammar corrections from watching the video...
1. You don't put a space between the sentence's ending and the last word. This is wrong... This is an example ! This is right... So is this!
2. You spelled finally wrong. :P
And so that's all I can remember, anyway I'm looking forward to the demo, this kinda reminds me of Avatar ;)
Jeah... OK! I think I get the point :^_^':. I could need some grammar checkers :p
I'm not that old and only had 2 years of english class. Thanks for the corrections !
Your welcome ;)
Do you have a date the demo will be released?
Not really no...
I think it will be released in about a month and a half.
I want it to be beta tested and spelling-checked. :haha:
Haha ok;) cant wait to see the demo, it looks pretty fun
Looks interesting. Nice cutscene in the video, I wonder what is going on... Be sure to explain that in the game! Hopefully it works out for you, so many games don't get released.
Oh, and some constructive criticism: Try to stay away from symmetry while mapping, especially in maps not dealing with man-made structures (ie. forests or mountains). The reason for this is simple: how often do you see two things, in actual nature, perfectly symmetrical? Next to never, and so should you stay away from symmetry in your maps. Towns are an exception, somewhat. Symmetry is a creation of man, so symmetry is okay to a certain degree in man-made locations. Just try to stay away from symmetry as much as possible.
When mapping I always try to make sure not to be to unrealistic/unpretty
I'll post images of some more of my maps soon :)
this is a map of a bridge somewere above Nefo City

Whats with the top of the trees? Or is it an a temp to make it look like its a forest of trees that are all overlapping?

HOLY SYMMETRY, BATMAN!
To avoid symmetry, I usually make my maps very random, unless dealing with man-made locations. Make sure that trees are not side-by-side horizontally or vertically, and make sure that there are no distinct patterns in the natural objects you place in the map. This goes for plants, grasses, rocks, even cliff ledges, among other naturally-occurring objects, as well. Keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it. Rome wasn't built in a day (and neither should a map of Rome )
Ok, if that's symmetrycal then fuck it :^_^':
All of my maps are in this style and I'm not going to remake them.
I just like this style :)

fair enough. I've had like 5+ years of RPG Maker experience, so I expect more out of myself. There's nothing wrong with your maps, they just don't have a certain flair I usually aim for.

I guess I'll learn more of mapping when I have some more experience with RMXP
This is the first game i work on so I have much to learn :)
